The Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and related causes received an astonishing $82.9 billion from corporations, a new funding database from the Claremont Institute has found. The Claremont Institute’s Center for the American Way of Life explained the necessity of their report in an article published in Newsweek, where the Center asserted that the 2020 BLM movement was about more than just “rioting and destruction.” The Center explained that “The BLM pressure campaigns, harassment, and moral blackmail also amounted to possibly the most lucrative shakedown of corporate America in its history.” “As a point of reference, $82.9 billion is more than the GDP of 46 African countries.

Slightly interesting, and in the big picture somewhat expected. During a lengthy interview with ABC’s primary propagandist, Jonathan Karl, former VP Mike Pence asserts that if he is forced to give testimony to Special Counsel Jack Smith on conversations with President Trump about the 2020 election results(snip) will not assert that private conversation as “executive privilege.” This approach was expected by the most cynically minded, because it explains why Pence is delaying any presidential race announcement. Stunningly, the Polish Ambassador to France Jan Emeryk Rościszewski said yesterday: “Either Ukraine will defend its independence today, or we will be forced to enter into this conflict,” sending a clear message that NATO will enter the war against Russia if Ukraine loses ground. The EU NATO allies were not recoiling due to the substance of what he said, but rather because he said it publicly. Nearly 200 more banks could be vulnerable to the same type of risk that collapsed Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) earlier this month, according to a recently published study. There are 186 banks across the United States that could collapse if half of their respective uninsured depositors withdraw their funds, researchers with the Social Science Research Network found. Deposits at member banks of up to $250,000 are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., although the agency agreed to insure depositors’ funds far above that after SVB’s collapse this month. “Combined, losses and uninsured leverage provide incentives for an SVB uninsured depositor run,” an abstract of the paper reads

This is New York justice. In New York, of course you can indict a ham sandwich. (snip) “So, if I were him, I would be worried today. He’ll probably ultimately win on appeal, but do judges today have the courage … to do something favorable to Trump in a city which overwhelmingly despises Trump?
