Russian officials shared plans to salvage the remains of a U.S. military drone that crashed into the Black Sea on Tuesday. “I don’t know if we can recover them or not, but we will certainly have to do that, and we will deal with it,” Nikolai Patrushev, secretary of Russia’s Security Council, said during televised remarks Wednesday. “I certainly hope for success,” he added, according to the Associated Press.Sergei Naryshkin, the head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, told a reporter that he believes Moscow has the resources for such an operation. “The way I see it, there are such technical capabilities,”

The United States Navy could have recovered that drone within hours. Sadly, they've been replaced by the Village People.

Likely, there goes some more of our "latest" technology to the Russians, Chinese and Iran . . . but thoroughly modern Milley and quota approved Austin certain know the approved pronouns, but can not handle getting the drone recovered before the Russians get their hands on it.

They couldn't save the LIVE crew members in the sunken submarine Kursk, perhaps 100 miles offshore in 300 feet of water, barely beyond scuba diving depth. And to recover the actual ship and bodies -- the Russians couldn't do that either - hiring an international salvage company to do it. I think the drone is pretty safe.

Face it,the drone was flying over the Black Sea.... Russian controlled area. Hard for us to get in there and recover it. It was surveilling the Russians for the benefit of the Ukranians. Was THAT an act of War? You could argue. Biden is either trying to start a war or incredibly dumb. Or both.

Re #10....so now, you think the Black Sea is a "Russian controlled area"? Repeating the Russian propaganda doesn't make it truth. The countries of Georgia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania and Russia border the Black Sea. Russia's coastline on the Black Sea, less the recently stolen Crimean Penninsula, is far less that Turkey's coastline on the Black Sea, and roughly the same length as Georgia's coastline, and less than Ukraine's coastline, even without the stolen Crimean coastline. So, what exactly is it that makes it "Russian controlled" and not Turkish controlled or ....maybe just like other oceans/seas which are bordered by many countries - international waters. The Black Sea has always been a normal ocean/sea....navigable by any country that chooses to go there. It is not 'controlled' by anyone, other than the Turks who, by treaty can keep various warships from entering the Black Sea because they control the two straights that control access.

Conservatives and Republicans could, a new report suggests, cut off establishment media outlets’ access in the 2024 election cycle as GOP lawmakers and candidates look to alternative communication channels to tell their stories. The prospect of the establishment media’s precarious position was captured in a Tuesday article written by the Dispatch’s David Drucker in which he warned Republican lawmakers and candidates heading into the 2024 election cycle “could attempt to freeze out mainstream journalists,” paralyzing television networks’ content creation and crushing their claims of political neutrality.

Or maybe it's one of the many tall tales Joe has totally fabricated or drastically embellished over the years -- often seemingly designed to inject a dramatic personal angle to a story, in order to ingratiate himself to an audience for political purposes. Here he is being questioned by a gay actor on an entertainment channel the other day, and he's evidently eager to boast about his early enlightenment about same-sex marriage, far ahead of the societal curve. While his statement on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show makes a handful of valid points, it is ridden with a fundamental misunderstanding of the war and US geopolitical interests. First, the good. DeSantis is correct to criticize the Biden administration’s lack of clear objectives in its support for “as long as it takes,” which is a recipe for a long and intractable conflict — which Americans would be right to reject.
