President Joe Biden's budget blueprint will include a 5.2% raise for federal employees, one of the largest peacetime military budgets in recent history and plans to save Social Security and Medicare.
It won't include cuts to federal spending, which Republicans have pushed for a strategy to bring down the $31.4 trillion federal deficit.
Instead, Biden will pay for his proposals with a series of new taxes on the wealthy and corporations.
The combo of more spending and taxes will likely make his budget dead on arrival when it reaches Capitol Hill as Republicans, who control the House, prepare to hammer him as a tax-and-spend Democrat.

The Left won't admit that corporations do NOT pay taxes. They collect those taxes from their customers... YOU.

Tax and spend, tax and spend. When they can't steal enough from the "rich" they will come for the middle class and so on and so forth. Nothing has changed. This is basic high school Economics 101. Cut the spending. I guess taxing tips at a higher level just didn't cut it. FJB We must get rid of this idiot.

The wealthy are exquisitely and overwhelmingly progressive. They should get what they want and fund so generously good and hard.

I think we can start by nixing the pay raise for federal employees, who already make 1.5x private workers doing similar jobs, and even more when including the 4 weeks vacations, and pensions. Those wealthy people that will need to pay more taxes is you, as corporations are passthroughs for taxes. The wealthy already pay 75% of the taxes, and can easily wait for Biden to be out of office, by not selling any assets.

What he wants is a wealth tax, which is pure confiscation; stealing. Such an idea might fly with the Squad or with congresscritters who think Guam might capsize, or with the likes of idiots like Mitt Romney, but if one iota of common sense remains on Capitol Hill--it's shrinking--that won't happen.

The American public has been turned into livestock with the sole purpose of feeding the select few. I am beginning to think that this will never change. Emasculation and enslavement have long term consequences.

Biden and his WH propagandists want House Repubs to reject this socialist proposal so that Biden can rant about how Repubs want to take away Social Security and destroy Medicare. And if Repubs reject 5.2% pay hike, the 2.2 million federal employees, their families and most importantly, their unions will pour money into Biden’s re-election.
Biden may suffer from early stage dementia but he knows how to keep his Dem base loyal no matter how much his policies harm the country. Recall the draining of the Strategic Oil Reserve to prevent the 2022 Red wave while simultaneously waging war on fossil fuels. Same as illegal student loan forgiveness plan while boasting, falsely, about reducing federal deficit.

Didn't Pelosi just give Federal workers a substantial pay raise before she left as speaker with the Democrat spending bill? Federal workers already are well compensated and get excellent benefits. They also get every holiday (real and imagined) as well as lots of vacation and personal time off. This is just a gift to the government employee workers unions and Democrat reelection payoff.
