CPAC is on again, and there are a lot of folks gathering and speaking at the event.
But few bring the fire and the humor more than Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) who is known for his great wit. We’ve seen that one of his great talents is that he doesn’t hold back on what he thinks and what he has to say, as when he recently lit up a “climate” witness he was grilling.
Kennedy let the audience know on Thursday that he had a few things to say about the truth. Without the truth, he said, we certainly not thrive as human beings.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said Thursday on CNN’s “The Lead” that Fox News was the “number one cause” of “erosion in our democracy” while discussing the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit against FNC for defamation.
Schumer said, “The threat to our democracy may be greater than it ever has been before because when people doubt that the elections are for real, democracy is on edge. After all, the wellspring, the heart of our democracy, is that we trust the elections. You know, I worry that if this erodes, our democracy will erode, and my children and grandchildren will not grow up in the grand democracy that gave me,

A grief-stricken mother named Rebecca Kiessling, who lost her two sons to fentanyl poisoning in 2020, was enraged after President Biden laughed off the claim that his policies might be to blame for their deaths, calling him “despicable” for it.(Video)Kiessling’s sons Caleb and Kyle tragically died in 2020 shortly before Biden took office. The boys took what they thought were Percocet painkillers but they were laced with fentanyl and resulted in their deaths.
The bereft mother lives in Michigan. She testified before Congress this week at a hearing that addressed the spiraling fentanyl crisis. During that hearing, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) intimated that the boys would still be alive if

Alex Murdaugh has been found guilty of murdering his wife and son after a jury of seven men and five women spent less than three hours deliberating.
The disgraced legal scion, 54, showed no emotion on his face but was shaking as the verdict was read out at the Colleton County courthouse in Walterboro, South Carolina, following six weeks of harrowing testimony.
His only surviving son Buster was stony-faced and put his head in his hands. Murdaugh turned to face the 26-year-old and his sister Lynn as he was cuffed and led away. Neither his younger brother John Marvin, who testified earlier this week, nor his elder sibling Randy were in court.

WASHINGTON — Two Russian billionaires who have managed to dodge US sanctions over Moscow’s year-old invasion of Ukraine went property shopping with Hunter Biden, dined with then-Vice President Joe Biden, and discussed “favors” they might swap, sources tell The Post.
New details of Joe and Hunter Biden’s association with Yelena Baturina and Vladimir Yevtushenkov flesh out tantalizing clues from the first son’s abandoned laptop. The sources spoke with The Post this week after the duo was yet again spared a fresh batch of sanctions announced by the Treasury Department Friday.
“I think it’s very fishy,” said one source who had firsthand knowledge of the business relationship between Hunter Biden and Yevtushenkov —

A hidden corridor was found recently inside the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, thanks to researchers’ year-long effort.
“An international research team used an imaging method based on cosmic rays to analyze a cavity behind the pyramid’s north face that was first discovered in 2016,” NBC News reported, adding that the team announced its findings, alongside Egyptian officials, on Thursday near the pyramid.
Officials noted the space is approximately two meters wide, and nine meters long. The builders, who erected the royal burial chambers in 2560 BC, may have designed it to relieve the structure’s weight.

Some Federal Bureau of Investigations field agents wanted to shut down the probe into suspected documents held by former President Donald Trump as early as June, but Justice Department leaders pushed for and ultimately got a surprise raid on Mar-a-Lago in August, according to a report.
According to the Washington Post, FBI officials and the DOJ clashed fiercely over how to handle recovering suspected classified documents from Trump, with FBI agents arguing for a cooperative approach and the DOJ pushing for the unprecedented raid on a former president’s home.
The aggressive approach was starkly different than the cooperative one the DOJ and FBI have taken towards classified documents

Ronald Kessler is a former Washington Post and Wall Street Journal investigative reporter and New York Times bestselling author of books on the White House, Secret Service, FBI, and CIA
After announcing his decision to live out his final days in hospice care at home, Jimmy Carter is being hailed as America's decent, humble president who cared about the so-called little people during his time in office.
And while his philanthropic work after leaving the White House speaks to that image, Secret Service agents who were on the 39th president's detail during his four-year term saw an entirely different man.
