Even as the stock market has soared to unimaginable heights and interest rates have dropped to equally unimaginable depths, we hear much alarming talk about the state of morals and virtue, as well as the state of our culture. There seems to be an unprecedented amount of commentary about what drives human nature and much discussion about various virtues, such as responsibility, hard work, humility, honesty, discipline, and occasionally, self-control. It takes a satire site, apparently, to tell the truth and spare us some of the craziness being promoted every day. I’m talking about South Park, though others like the Babylon Bee daily skewer the imbecilic nonsense found in the mainstream press and televised news.
For some time now the duke and duchess of Sussex have been playing the victims from a background of great luxury, demanding privacy as they seek maximum publicity. Like me, South Park had enough of this and ran a fabulous parody of the couple doing a Worldwide Privacy Tour. (Snip)

Earlier this month, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy promised to release all the footage of the January 6 riot at the Capitol to the public.

Paul Ryan, a member of the Fox Corporation Board of Directors, said this weekend he will skip the 2024 Republican National Convention if former President Donald Trump wins the Republican Party primary.
In an interview on WISN ABC, Ryan was asked where he would be during the 2024 convention held in Milwaukee.
“Where will you be?” the host asked.
“It depends on who the nominee is,” Ryan replied. “I’ll be here if it’s not named somebody Trump.”

Under Biden’s order, teams from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Environmental Protection Agency and Federal Emergency Management Agency will visit homes.
