ChatGPT has become a global obsession in recent weeks, with experts warning its eerily human replies will put white-collar jobs at risk in years to come. But questions are being asked about whether the $10billion artificial intelligence has a woke bias. This week, several observers noted that the chatbot spits out answers which seem to indicate a distinctly liberal viewpoint. Elon Musk described it as ‘concerning’ when the program suggested it would prefer to detonate a nuclear weapon, killing millions, rather than use a racial slur.

The cosmologist Sean M. Carroll has a monthly podcast where people can ask him questions about anything. One person decided to ask their questions to ChatGPT and have it respond as if it was Sean M. Carroll. One question was about how he met his wife, Jennifer, who is a science journalist. ChatGPT made up this whole story about how they met at the University of Chicago as physics students and other details that sounded plausible. As the real Sean pointed out, the story was completely bogus and had no factual basis for anything it output. The other answers were similarly unrelated to reality or any facts. Sean's point was that ChatGPT is not really a search engine, it's a very clever Mina bird. It makes up sentences but has no model of the world or any sense of meaning or context to what it composes. It might fool people enough to pass the Turing test in simple conversation, but it is not intelligent in any useful way.

Wasn't it some kook named Gruber who sneered at the woke generation and their proclivity for possessing no meaningful life experience in which to process reality when they encounter it? All AI will be created to do the same - but the AI will hear its master's voice, and will pontificate that as reality.

Simple fact. It is NOT AI. Quit calling these programs AI. At best they are what we used to call expert programs. I guess that's no longer enough because there so many so-called (self-called?) experts these days it's trivial so even say expert.

The former President has blasted Rihanna for the 'worst halftime show in Super Bowl history' after she already insulted 'far more than half our nation' by spray painting 'f*** Donald Trump' on a car.  Rihanna, with her baby bump beaming out of her red ensemble, stormed the stage in Arizona before the Chiefs became Super Bowl champions on Sunday night.  She gave the millions of viewers a sultry performance - however her racy dancing and risqué lyrics were perhaps too much for some family-friendly fans. Donald Trump - who has butted heads with the Barbadian singer multiple times in the past - clearly was not impressed

James Bradberry’s first Super Bowl appearance will always be defined by a single call. It’s the one that directly correlated with the end of the Eagles’ special season, the one that soured a season-long redemption story of his own after the cornerback was released by the Giants and started over during the offseason.  Though some might label the fourth-quarter holding penalty a poor officiating call, Bradberry admitted he committed a penalty while defending Chiefs wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster in the closing minutes of Super Bowl 2023. “It was a holding,” Bradberry told reporters following Philadelphia’s 38-35 loss. “I tugged his jersey.

The Chiefs trailed by 10 points at halftime but Mahomes threw two touchdown passes in the second half and led Kansas City to a game-winning field goal drive in the final minutes.  Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker made a 27-yard field goal with eight seconds remaining in the game to give the Chiefs their third Lombardi Trophy and second in four years.

A Yale University professor has sparked outrage by suggesting the only way to deal with Japan's rapidly aging population is a mass suicide and disembowelment.  Yusuke Narita, an assistant professor of economics at Yale, defended his views in a New York Times profile this weekend after he made the remarks on a streaming news program in 2021. 'I feel like the only solution is pretty clear,' he said at the time. 'In the end, isn't it mass suicide and mass 'seppuku' of the elderly?'  Seppuku was a ritual disembowelment that was forced upon samurai who had brought dishonor to themselves in 19th century Japan.

Dozens of students walked out of their New Hampshire school after the district banned urinals in a compromise to a proposal that would have blocked children from using facilities based on their gender identity. The school board decided a few days before the Friday walkout to prohibit students at Milford Middle School and Milford High School from using urinals or shared spaces in locker rooms. The ban in a town of about 15,000 people roughly 35 miles (56 kilometers) from Concord, New Hampshire's capital, was the culmination of a long debate about district rules about bathroom use and gender identity.

Good news, everybody. All those UFOs being shot down over the US and Canada might not be from China after all, leaving the possibility that it’s just an alien invasion on the table. According to the Chicoms, they have detected an unidentified craft over Rizhao and have scrambled jets in response, warning fishermen to stay alert if something comes crashing down out of the sky. That news was about an hour old as of this writing and no further news has been released on whether China successfully engaged the supposed craft. That is if there even was a UFO as the communists claim. It seems far more likely

Back in 2017, when Amy Coney Barrett was undergoing confirmation hearings for her nomination to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein expressed concern about Judge Barrett’s devotion to her Catholic faith. “The dogma lives loudly within you,” Feinstein said. Two years later, Brian Buescher, a nominee to the federal bench in Ohio, faced criticism from Democratic Sens. Kamala Harris and Mazie Hirono for his membership in the Knights of Columbus. Then, an article in the Atlantic magazine argued that the Catholic rosary symbolized religious radicalism and had become a “weapon” for those dangerous white Christian nationalists.

If you’re going to continue reading, consider yourself forewarned: It gets far crazier than the headline suggests. Let’s begin with the left’s latest insane notion: restoring sight to the blind is yet another example of ableism — the discrimination of and social prejudice against people with disabilities based on the belief that typical abilities are superior — and moreover, disabilities “need no cure.” See what I mean? As RedState reported earlier this month, Jimmy Donaldson, more popularly known as “MrBeast,” posted a video to his YouTube channel about how he helped “cure” the blindness of 1,000 people by providing them with free cataract surgery. Donaldson was promptly both praised and skewered,
