There are sites which regularly publish President Biden’s verbal gaffes. When he’s not hiding in his basement these perilous days, those gaffes are one of the few things you can reliably count on. Townhall.com published one Biden flub this week that is among my favorites. BIDEN: "More than half the women in my administration are women." If you doubt the accuracy of this there’s a video they’ve published which captured it. Now that I think of it, given the way that Biden staffed his administration, perhaps this wasn’t a gaffe, but a rare moment of honesty from someone so consistently dissembling over many years that he makes Congressman George Santos look like

What top-secret venue is the Latin American balloon surveilling in Costa Rica? Not everything warrants Defcom 1, ya know. But they sure do like to keep us riled up.

So obvious— the craft traverses the entire continent from the northern Pacific to the southeastern Atlantic coast and the US shoots it down, then— after it’s mission is accomplished. China registers it’s pro forma complaint, as if the transmitting device served any further purpose after its transcontinental scan had already been transmitted back. President Biden is inconsequential but a citizenry that would believe this show biz reflects American interests in any way is the problem.

Thank you for your usual great articles every Sunday. There does seem to be a slight mathematical error by Larry Johnson an or Mark Wauck. After noting that we consider the edge of space is at 60 miles (ok) they then said the balloon was flying at 55 miles above the earth. In fact the balloon was flying 55,000 feet over the earth which is about 10 miles plus or minus. 50 miles is a little higher about 250,000 feet. A balloon could not fly at that altitude. They are either idiots or they did not proof read their statement which reduces them from idiot status to the lesser status of moron.

No balloon flies at an altitude of 55 miles; there is no buoyancy at all at that altitude. The airship was at 60,000 FEET, equating to eleven or twelve miles. While above the cruising altitude of commercial aviation, it was definitely within US airspace. One cannot help but wonder what (or who) compelled Zhou Bi Den to let it complete its mission.

Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) If the Chinese balloon thing was a mini dress rehearsal for World War III, we may want to form some Mandarin study groups. Those of us who live here in reality have long dreaded finding out how the cabal that runs Joe Biden’s brain would react to any kind of international tension. The way Team Pudding Brain went about things these last several days wasn’t a comfort. My colleagues were all over it, so let’s peruse some of what they covered. As Joe Biden faces the fallout of his poor handling of the Chinese spy balloon, the effort to rewrite history is already underway. Soon after the balloon was shot down on Saturday, Biden claimed the order to shoot it down was given on Wednesday. “I ordered the Pentagon to shoot it down on Wednesday as soon as possible,” Biden told reporters. “They decided without doing any damage to people on the ground, they decided that the best time to do that was when it got over water outside within a 12 mile limit.” “I told them to shoot it down on Wednesday,” Biden later added, clearly wanting to make sure that this factoid

After a U.S Air Force F-22 Raptor shot down the Chinese surveillance balloon with a sidewinder missile on Saturday, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin issued an alternative-universe statement in which he lauded Joe Biden’s commitment to “always put the safety and security of the American people first.” No, really. We’ll get back to that silliness in a bit. Austin began by suggesting the “commander in chief” — I put that in quotes because Biden is pretty much not the commander of anything — was in charge from the outset. This afternoon, at the direction of President Biden, U.S. fighter aircraft assigned to U.S. Northern Command successfully brought down the high-altitude surveillance balloon

Community activists in Houston are calling for a restaurant patron who shot and killed a robbery suspect during a holdup to be arrested, saying he went beyond self-defense despite many calling him a hero. Customers were eating inside a local taqueria when 30-year-old Eric Eugene Washington entered and pointed a pistol at them and demanded cash. As he gathered the cash, an armed patron can be seen on surveillance video getting up from the booth he was sitting in and shooting his pistol at Washington multiple times. We saw in Joe Biden’s reaction to the Chinese spy balloon what a problematic leader Joe Biden is, if we didn’t already know it. The balloon wasn’t taken out when it first entered American airspace on Jan. 28, off the waters of Alaska. That was when you would think Biden would take the “water shot,” but the military said they didn’t have it. Then it went over Alaska, where there are huge expanses of unoccupied land. Again, no shot. It went over Canada and then entered the U.S. again on Tuesday, January 31. According to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, that’s when Biden was apprised of what was going

Three years after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing masks in public. I try not to judge people when I see someone wearing a mask; after all, the person may have a legitimate need to wear a mask. But what I’ve noticed is that there seem to be a lot of healthy younger people — teenagers and people in their early 20s — who wear masks often, and I have a difficult time understanding it. I’ve had a theory about this phenomenon for some time. I think some people like to keep masking because it makes them feel anonymous. I’m convinced that some people

What we are witnessing in Ukraine, and perhaps in a future conflict in Taiwan, is a new model for fighting Cold War 2, one in which the belligerents tacitly agree to fight but only within designated foreign borders. The process of delimiting the allowable combat area has so far been a complex exercise in signaling. For example, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev recently tried to draw some Red Lines: “If Ukraine tries to strike at Crimea, there will be retaliatory strikes, all Ukraine remaining under Kyiv’s rule will burn. The response in the event of strikes in the Crimea and deep into Russia will be quick, tough and convincing.

Transportation Secretary and Chasten’s wife — er, husband, Pete Buttigieg, went on NBC’s Meet the Press on Feb. 5 to preview Joe Biden’s State of the Union address. During that appearance, Buttigieg claimed that Joe Biden is just so wildly successful as president that his accomplishments cannot be easily distilled — hence Biden’s low approval ratings. Yes, Mayor Pete actually said Biden is extremely unpopular because he’s too good at his job. Buttigieg rambled out a justification of the Biden administration allowing an apparent Chinese spy balloon to cross the U.S. before shooting it down over the ocean (where, quite conveniently, no one can pick up tell-tale debris as enlightening evidence).

The military did not detect previous flights of Chinese spy balloons over the U.S. that took place during the Trump administration, a top general said Monday, due to a "gap" in the Defense Department's ability to track certain airborne objects. Gen. Glen VanHerck, head of North American Aerospace Defense Command, cited the issue as the reason that at least three spy balloon flights were not briefed to senior Trump officials at the time. "So those balloons, so every day as a NORAD commander it's my responsibility to detect threats to North America," he told reporters at the Pentagon. From his lofty height, he engaged with every thorny problem with an equanimity that drew a placid sagacity from an ocean of experience, and confidence. After all, Rush was “documented almost always right 99.7% of the time.” He was a compass that always pointed the precise bearing to truth. He was the constitutionalists’ loadstar.
