Top general says previous spy balloon
flights over the U.S. slipped through undetected

The military did not detect previous flights of Chinese spy balloons over the U.S. that took place during the Trump administration, a top general said Monday, due to a "gap" in the Defense Department's ability to track certain airborne objects. Gen. Glen VanHerck, head of North American Aerospace Defense Command, cited the issue as the reason that at least three spy balloon flights were not briefed to senior Trump officials at the time. "So those balloons, so every day as a NORAD commander it's my responsibility to detect threats to North America," he told reporters at the Pentagon. "I will tell you that we did not detect those threats.

Surreal. You want a convoluted tale? You got it! Just read all of this slowly to leaen the lengths the top talent Biden henchpersons will go to in order to bring Trump into their balloon fiasco and muddy the water.

Well, didn't we once get outsmarted by the Somalis? I seem to recall their use of walkie-talkies to communicate on frequencies that were too low tech for our high-tech EW systems to capture when we went in. That being said, there appeared to be enough metallic structure hanging beneath that balloon for any radar system to pick up.

I live within jogging distance to one of NASA's eight Columbia Scientific Balloon Facilities, which has been active since 1961. Spotting and tracking balloons that fly up to 137,000 feet is not a problem. In fact, Alan Eustace, in 2014 used such a balloon as a jump platform in a parachute jump from 135,898 feet. The Chinese balloon was reportedly at a relatively meagre altitude of 60,000 feet. NORAD and NASA have tracked relatively small objects, like space shuttles and other launched space craft and satellites, so tracking a 450 foot + diameter balloon, slow moving, was not difficult even back in the 1960s. Unlike the 1960s, the US has tracking capability from orbiting satellites, looking down on objects plunging to earth from space. Our ground based radar technology has improved significantly, since the days of the rotary telephones. Now we have supposedly high-level military brass leaking to the DNC press that during 2017 - 2021, our military and scientific community lacked the ability to detect and track a nominally high-altitude, slow-moving object larger than a circus tent. I call BS. The Biden military has been neutered to the point of becoming tranny experts while providing no military deterrent relative to attacks on our homeland. And by the reasoning of the Biden military brass, if Russia attacked the US with nuclear capable Bear bombers, we'd refrain from shooting it down as it might crash into someone's barn or outhouse. So either way, lying or not, everything coming from this administration constitutes grounds for impeachment and a wholesale cashiering of all of the military's senior officers. Then they can become civilian tranny experts and leave the defense of our homeland to warfighters.

If the previous Chinese spy balloon flights over the US slipped through undetected, how does anyone know that they occurred? If you are aware of them, they were not undetected because you are reporting them. Why wait until now? Why weren't they reported to the Trump administration? Was this another example of security agency personnel operating under their own agenda and not reporting things to Trump because they do not like his politics? Wouldn't be the first time!

Well that explains it. So Biden can't be blamed because after all Trump didn't do anything when spy balloons flew over the nation under his watch. But then he nor the men responsible for knowing such things apparently didn't even know it was happening. So where are the heads that should roll over such dereliction if duty? Then again I don't seem to remember any heads rolling over the fiasco in Afghanistan? We can have gross incompetence displayed for all to see and nobody pays any price. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is using a series of unconventional warfare tactics designed to achieve the goals of war, without engaging in troop-on-troop combat, against the United States. Many of these tactics were detailed in the 1999 Chinese military book “Unrestricted Warfare” but pull from older deception tactics and from programs that were set in motion by the Soviet Union. The key goals are to win a war without fighting openly, to seize control of a society gradually, to steal an economy, and to use methods to intentionally keep the public distracted and unaware.

The United States could bring down the Chinese surveillance balloon currently flying eastward across the country by shooting it with a laser, which would cause it to gradually descend without inflicting serious damage to civilians on the ground, according to an aerospace specialist. The Defense Department previously ruled out shooting down the balloon, which was first spotted earlier this week in Montana, saying that its size could cause a debris field large enough to harm Americans. But Art Thompson, CEO of California-based company Sage Cheshire Aerospace which provides stratospheric balloon launching and research services, believes that a “semi-controlled descent” could be a solution.
