Early in the morning on April 19, 1993, the FBI sent in tanks to doze the walls of the massive Mount Carmel compound in Waco, Tex. It was a drastic measure to force Branch Davidian leader David Koresh and his people to surrender and face justice after a 51-day standoff that had begun with an illegal weapons investigation and the shooting deaths of six Davidians and four agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The Feds had attempted to get Koresh’s followers to surrender in the days and weeks prior with little success.

FTA: That all leads fairly directly to the rise of today’s militias and definitely played a role in January 6th.”
Lost me with the Jan. 6th "link".

FTA: Even then-President Bill Clinton has since admitted a miscarriage of tactics from the government forces.
“I will always regret that,” Clinton said in a 2005 address at Hofstra University that’s excerpted in the book. “We should have waited them out … It was a mistake and I’m responsible. And that’s not one of those you get an A for effort on.”
Odd to see the Horny Clown have remorse. Maybe he’s got some higher human in him.
Throughout history creating martyrs has been a political mistake.

Bill Clinton's administration was one big security risk and gave way to a lot of mistakes. Some deadly other not. All set a precedent that paved the way for the traps set for a weak GWB, the corruption by the Odiot, the partisan destruction of PDJT leading to the "free and fair" election of The Walking Dead stand-in currently wandering around my WH like an old grandpa looking for the sofa.

Who authorized the Army to send the tanks and the troops to operate the tanks?
Also, it was widely reported that oresh went to town once a week, stopped for coffee at a restaurant, and then went back to the compound,
If that is correct, why not arrest him then?

I don't accept the stated 'facts' about Waco. I think these reports of overheard conversations and internal murders are just part of the cover up - though once the fire was going, some may have gone the Masada route.
The tear gas was illegal. The tanks were illegal. The charges were bogus and possibly as fraudulent as anything we've seen from the FBI since then. Ruby Ridge was another murderous, bogus operation to intimidate otherwise harmless people.
The American People don't forget the blood of innocents, spilled by tyranny.

Yes, lakerman. A resident of that area told me at the time that everyone local knew that Koresh jogged almost daily. He could have been picked up any morning the FBI chose. This attack was all lies. Funny how our government and its entities hate all religion, except for Islam of course. That one religion that we all know is so peaceful.

Force them to face justice?
None of them - - not a single one - - had ever committed a crime - - nor were they even accused of one. They were mostly women and small children - - completely innocent of any wrongdoing - - yet Master B. Clinton used heavy military weapons to invade their private dwelling unit - - and ultimately murder most of them.
This was - - and still is - - the greatest political massacre ever committed in this country. And yet - - and yet what price did Master B. ever pay for it?
And what price did Master B. pay for the criminal abduction and deportation of little Elian Gonzalez?
No criminals have ever gotten away with more dastardly crimes - - than the unspeakable Clinton Crime Family.

Koresh even met the FBI guys at a shooting range, spent the day chatting and shooting each others guns. It was the HRT guys(Clintons former Ark trooper detail, nepoted into that role) and the DC ATF taking directions from afar. Timeline and communications show the actual "GO!" order came from Web Hubble, #1guy at justice was in surgury, Reno was giving a speech, Hubble was #3 and temporarily the only person in communication. A former client/friend was the FBI agent in charge of the afteraction investigation, it's one of the reasons he retired immediately after. Another story he told was that he was in charge of the investigation of the shooting incident where someone fired multiple shots at the Whitehouse, he had a team there set up scaffolds, were setting wires and lasers to ascertain trajectory, shooter location. Chelsea came home from school, came out and was asking a bunch of questions, they showed her what they were doing, took her up on the scaffold, said she was a very smart, curious and friendly girl...the next day she brought them out a platter of cookies she baked and some lemonade...Then Hillary came out, pitched a fit, cussing and angry, ordered Chelsea back into the house, took the cookies and lemonade away and ordered them to never speak to their daughter again. Chelsea still waved at them when sh came home.
He also had one of the most unique Memorabilia Items I have ever seen...a K frame S&W, with a bullet lodged in the cylinder, the wrong way. He had been in a shootout, hit the perps gun directly into a cylinder hole, froze the action while knocking the gun out of the perps hand, ended the fight.

I think that history may prove the Clintons to be the downwards inflection point in our declining political environment.

They could have arrested Koresh in town on multiple occasions as he frequently went to town and shopped at the ACE hardware Store.. how do I know that, because my friends dad owns the store and commented often about Koresh coming into the store.
The Clintons were into body counts not simple arrests.

Janet Reno needed to be tried and executed for the murder of dozens of children, I hope she's burning in a special place in hell.

This and armed agents pointing guns at a poor little boy who had managed to escape communism, torn from loving arms and sent back to that hell hole. Meanwhile, the gates are now wide-open for every thief, grifter, murderer, organized crime member to walk right in and set up shop.

2nd post apologies, but necessary.
Dollar Bill Clinton, when asked about the raaid, siad, 'the buck stops with me. But itnever got to me.
The reporters did not pursue the matter with Clinton..
When Janet Reno was called before a oncgressional committee, and yelled at for the stupid raid, Reno replied (to Carlie Rangel, I recall) '"No one
feels worse than I do, Congressman.
Then Dead Ted Kennedy and the Senate set up a hearing, and brought a 10 year old
girl from the compound, who testified about being taken by Koresh aaas his bride.
Her testimony was sexually graphic. "He said my vagina fit his penis like a glove...I felt it
(his ejacuculate) run down my leg.
The domocrats stopped the hearing, and said, see how bad Koresh was?
That illogic didn't explain why the U.S. Army, under the direction of General Wesley Clark, attacked the Compound.
And, oddly enough, Clark ran for the dimocrat nomination for president, and no reporter asked Clark who otdered him to send tanks and troops, and to attack the Compound.
Janet Reno would not have such authority. Would the Secretary of Defense have that authority? (I can't remember if Les Aspin was even questioned about the debacle.)

We’ve seen Mpls., Kenosha, Ferguson, St. Louis, Chicago, NYC, Seattle, Portland and dozens of other U.S. cities burned and attacked by BLM and Antifa thugs. We’ve seen rapes, torture and murders on American soil by illegal immigrant gangs not to mention fentanyl deaths. We’ve seen lone wolf school shooters with no group affiliation. And this author is writing about the right wing militia movement. This angers me because it is such an obvious ploy for the violent and diabolical left to divert attention from themselves. It is repeated and repeated and yet there is no evidence that I’ve seen that any current “violent right-wing militia movement” has effected any damage of note anywhere. If anyone brings it up to me I ask for examples. All I get in return is attitude.

Horse Hockey. From other sources over the years, I have read that the FBI deliberately did not arrest Koresh on several occasions when he left the compound. They wanted that fight, Clinton and Reno wanted that fight, and this is on Clinton big time.
No Alex, this Waco tragedy had nothing to do with January 6. The fraud and theft of Trump's victory is what led to January 6.

It's been so long, and I recall watching most of the Waco drama unfold on CNN, but if my memory serves me, it was the first time I questioned why CNN didn't seem to ask any questions about the government's response, and all CNN opinion was very one-sided, against the Branch Davidian. It's the moment, in my mind, that to me CNN became the Clinton News Network.
