Actor Jeremy Renner was trying to stop a snowplough from crashing into his nephew when he became trapped and it crushed him, a police report discloses.
The Marvel star was using the six-tonne PistenBully plough to help Alexander Fries free his car from the snow.
But the large vehicle then began to roll down the hill, a Washoe County sheriff's department report said.
Renner sustained injuries to his "torso, face, extremities and head" during the accident.

When I was 7, America elected a fellow named John Kennedy president. He had been a senator and he was witty.(snip)Looking back as an adult, I realize he was not joking. He was bragging. But he was so charming that I secretly have wished for a Republican John Kennedy. Ronald Reagan came close. Donald Trump too. Maybe the John Kennedy we need is the senator by that very name from Louisiana. An elevated rate of Bell’s palsy was identified among elderly people after vaccination with a Pfizer booster shot, U.S. regulators said in a new study.
The “small but statistically significant elevation” in Bell’s palsy was detected after vaccination with Pfizer’s old booster, which is no longer available in the United States, researchers with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said in a preprint study.
The elevated rate resulted in an adjusted incidence rate ratio of 1.13 and remained consistent when researchers adjusted for different factors, such as prior COVID-19 infection.
