Billions of dollars worth of U.S. weapons are on the negotiating table between Russian strongman Vladimir Putin and Afghanistan’s Taliban government, according to at least one insider.
Presidentish Joe Biden’s bungled bugout from Afghanistan resulted in a windfall for the new radical Islamic government, including artillery, attack helicopters, and thousands of HUMVEES, machine guns, radios — all left behind as our orderly withdrawal degenerated into a rout.
The Department of Defense estimates the total value of the gear Biden left behind at a whopping $7.12 billion, and now Putin is reportedly offering to buy whatever he and the battered Russian Army need.

Vladimir Putin is not a "STRONGMAN". He is the elected President of the Russian Federation.

Leaving the weaponry behind in Afghanistan is the textbook definition of Treason. Any person involved in that decision, up to the very top, are guilty of that crime. Now the Russians will have the latest US technology and be able to defeat the M-1 Abrams Tanks we are giving to Ukraine! Someone must go to prison for both these crimes!!

Wait a minute, I thought the value of the materiel when we bugged out was 85 Billion! So now it’s only a paltry 7 billion? Is this government accounting?

So we trade a tranny basketball player for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, then within a month or two, we hear about arms deals involving Russia and the arms we left behind. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together? No wonder we left those arms behind. No wonder we released Viktor Bout. The Griner aspect was just part of the cover story - we really didn't want him/her back.

If Biden would’ve held on to these weapons, he could have sold them himself and skimmed of enough to buy another mansion, and one for Hunter!

In my opinion that was Joe's intent in the first place. he knew the equipment would eventually end up in Russia China and any other country wanting to get a hold of it and the technology. It was the biggest act of betrayal in this country we have ever seen.

Was there a reason, or lack of opportunity, to destroy - perhaps by air raid - a good portion of what we left behind?

#14 it would have taken the seals, rangers, and green berates 2 hours to make a large pile of scape metal. If I was putie just to rub it in I would send the traded for butcher of Moscow to close the deal.

Soooo...we left behind $80 b worth, Defense dept now sets the "Fair Market VCalue" of it at $7 billion, Pooty poot wil offer $3b, Taliban wil say no, $5!. They will settle at $4.5 Billion(Aprox 5-6cents: dollar.)
They will then send it to Ukraine were WE will spend $45-$80 Billion in additional costs to defend against all of OUR OWN STUFF> them commies know how to capitalist better than Biden, they will be getting near 1000% return on investment...the funds for which are being supplied by inflated costs for gas paid by NATO countries, which Russia already makes a huge profit on.

They will reverse engineer a lot of it and we will likely see Russia using our weapons against our weapons in Ukraine.
The collective idiocy of our federal government and military brass is just staggering.

Looks like a case of your enemy is my enemy. Swapping equipment for Russian equipment makes sense even if it is not particularly useful. The Russians gain an entrance after a long absence. They share a border and could be a transit route for gas to India. The Biden administration’s failures just keep compounding. It’s hard to grasp how incompetent this administration is.

Concerning the weapons left in Afghanistan, why didn't the President do what he did with his classified documents? Bring them home?

If American equipment shows up on the Russian side of the battlefield, that might be enough for at least some of the Dems to vote for impeachment.
