My husband and I once got lost in Montana, which is a thing not to do; Montana miles are extra long and one must cover so very many of them to ask directions. It was a Twilight Zone experience. I’m sure that it’s obvious to all thinking Americans that our society is driving through its own Twilight Zone, lost and unable to locate the right highway. Many of us don’t even seem to realize that we’re heading toward a bridge that collapsed ages ago. We have taken ten wrong turns… We have lived in such astounding wealth that we’ve come to assume that

What a silly and defeatist point of view. I have built a nice life for myself and my children and I intend to keep it, even if I have to vigorously defend it from a corrupt, wrong-headed and sleazy government. My rights, ideals and pride are deeply ingrained, my property they can take, except for the defensive capabilities which I have built up and fully intend to employ to prevent my home and my surroundings from being ruined by a bunch of leftist goons and/or global elites.

#1 and #2, I do not see this piece as defeatist, it is realist. All of what he writes is currently happening, you cannot denie it. You also cannot curl up and hide in your happy place and hope it passes. And #1, no matter how well you are armed and how Ramboesque your training and physical prowess is if some politically empowered little pencil neck elite wants what's your, he will take it, your bravado and big talk will not even slow them down for the time it takes you to reach under your pillow. The reason is that while we have all been curled up in our bunkers deluding ourselves with fantasies of our armed and physical prowess in a post apocalyptic world the real world has been morphing into a 1984esque utopian hell. one in which those who sat out the boring everyday struggle to stem the tide of totalitarianism will be seen as the crazy lunatics fringe and having years earlier disengaged from the political process have become irrelevant. The author is right in one point, as is shown so many times in history, a soft and lost civilization, one wallowing in wealth and privilege, where the ease of life allows the populace to ignore the real struggles of day to day living and spend most of its time seeking pleasure will never recover without the ugly intervention of some outside force. Often, but not limited to, War. It can be sudden or it can be long and drawn out but it is most certainly inevitable.

WOW! I read it twice and was deeply moved. “Heading toward a bridge that collapsed ages ago” I’m not religious but these thought brought to light the biblical quote posted here recently (hat tip to Rinctum”). “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the Darkness of this world, against Spiritual Wickedness in high places”. Ephesians 6:12 See Moses, Mt. Sinai, Tablets.

A lot of this is exactly correct....but I am very, very pointedly NOT part of the author's "we". And I have also recognized that the overwhelming majority of Americans today think that our wealthy, comfortable, and pleasant lifestyle is the equilibrium condition of mankind. And most imagine (farily mindlessly) that any and all disturbances, and changes in that system cannot upset that equilibrium. All distubances will be temporary, and the equilibrium of wealth, comfort, safety and plentiful food will be quickly re-established magically after any temporary disruptions. No one has the ability to deal with "systemic failures", even slight ones. The electric power grid is increasingly unreliable, as part of the headlong and accelerating rush to "renewables", meaning solar panels and windmills. Solar panels absolutely WILL NOT put out any power at night, so are a wasted investment 50-60% of the time, depending on latitude. And windmills are equally unreliable, generally over a year producing about 1/3 of their theoretical power capability on the average. One kind of "power" half the time or less, and the other can put out rated power about 1/3 of the time. So, we seem to be being forced into a future with power grid outages being the norm rather than the rare exception. How many can deal with that? How many can cook with the power out.....as the Demonrats seek to eliminate all gas stoves so that even MORE people won't be able to prepare food if the power is out. And food supply. Ho many have even the vaguest notion of what to do if one, by some miracle, was given a 100 lbs of wheat, or oats, or a few bushels of apples, or ears of corn, or tomatoes, or fresh beans? What percentage of modern city dwelling Americans could make a meal for today from that plenty? And how many could take the excess and store it so that they could eat in six months? And nobody seems to really care. The latest Netflicks entertainment, or the newest video game, or phone trick are much more important. And no one cares if our elections are rigged, and our politicians work for foreign enemy states. I try to teach all the young people that I know to understand these things, but I'm old and most aren't all that interested, although some really are. Some young people DO know these basic skills, repairing things, growing food, storing food, living without "the system". I'd imagine that they make up about 1% or so of Americans. I can't change this and the WEF/Globalists and their Demonrat allies are furiously destroying everything, and working to enslave us all. I may be able to slow it a bit for another decade, maybe even two, if my health holds out, but soon enough, all us oldsters will be gone and the young, and mostly very, very ignorant will be left to fend for themselves. It seems like the world of the "Hunger Games" movies is likely the future.

Well, yes most of this article is true, but IMO it is not all black or all white. We may end up in a totalitarian state, similar to the old USSR or the current China controlled by the CCCP. A color dismal and very dark gray. Or it could come down to a violent separation between red and blue states or areas of control. I only know one thing for sure, God is in control and I will keep my eyes upon Him, while I pass the ammunition.

More than 10.8 million mail-in ballots went “unaccounted for” in California’s midterm elections last year, data published by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) reveals. In 2022, California election officials mailed out more than 22.1 million ballots to registered voters, the data published by PILF shows. Of those, more than 10.8 million went “unaccounted for” as researchers said election officials can only make assumptions as to what happened with the ballots. “Typically, when a polling place opens and closes, there is an accounting of all election materials. Significant issues arise when incidents occur such as ballots disappearing at poll closing time

Mounting a comeback for the White House, Donald Trump is looking to regain control over his powerful social media accounts. With access to his Twitter account back, Trump's campaign is formally petitioning Facebook’s parent company to unblock his account there after it was locked in response to the U.S. Capitol riot two years ago. “We believe that the ban on President Trump’s account on Facebook has dramatically distorted and inhibited the public discourse,” Trump’s campaign wrote in its letter to Meta on Tuesday, according to a copy reviewed by NBC News. Trump’s campaign didn’t threaten a lawsuit, as some sources close to Trump thought he would. It instead talked about

“We’ll handle that.” The first thought that entered my mind after reading those three words was the 2016 Republican presidential primary season and Donald Trump‘s politics of personal destruction against the other 16 candidates in the race. Welp, if Ron DeSantis runs in 2024, it looks like it’ll be business as usual for The Donald. While “Lyin’ Ted” and “Little Marco” won’t be there, “Ron DeSanctimonious” will. During an interview with “The Water Cooler” host David Brody on RealAmerica’s Voice, Trump weighed in on the possibility of DeSantis entering the race and said if the popular Florida governor does, the former president said “We’ll handle that” while noting

President Joe Biden’s Justice Department reportedly permitted the president’s personal attorneys to search for classified documents in separate locations without security clearances or the FBI present. Critics have questioned why Biden’s personal attorneys were initially looking for classified documents. Others have questioned why the president’s legal team was continuing to search his home Thursday for classified documents after a special counsel was appointed earlier that day. According to the Wall Street Journal, the initial search, authorized by DOJ, involved people with no security clearance looking for potentially classified material.

She argued the president has been answering questions on the matter - on the same day he sat, smiling in silence, as he ignored inquiries being asked by the press. In an Oval Office meeting with Netherlands' Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Biden smirked as shouting reporters were led from the room. Meanwhile, Jean-Pierre argued that 'we have addressed multiple questions from here. Multiple questions have been answered by the President.'

Joe Biden’s mishandling of top-secret documents is not the only way he has jeopardized America’s national security. He did something arguably even worse as vice-president. New York Times best-selling author Ronald Kessler wrote an article in Tuesday’s Daily Mail detailing how. Biden was so obsessed with his so-called “regular Joe” image that he wanted the nuclear football traveling at least one mile behind his motorcade on trips to his Delaware home. Had a foreign adversary launched a nuclear strike during those trips, America would have no way of responding in kind. This means America could have been wiped out thanks to Biden’s narcissism.

With each gallon of gas pumped in the United States since 1932, drivers have been paying taxes. The revenue is used for road repairs and public transportation such as train and bus systems. Currently, the Fed takes 18.4 cents per gallon for gas or 24.4 cents per gallon for diesel. State gas taxes range from a national high of 61 cents for gas in Pennsylvania, to a low of 8.95 cents in Alaska. But environmentally motivated improvements in fuel efficiency and the move to electric vehicles (EVs) translate to less gas sold, resulting less tax revenue collected. State and federal governments are looking for a new way to fund transportation.

We saw that in the acceptance speech of Ke Huy Quan when he won Best Supporting Actor in a Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes. We saw it from Brendan Fraser at the Critics Choice Awards.
