Conservatives on Twitter are up in arms after actor Rob Reiner praised President Biden as a "decent law abiding person" while slamming former President Donald Trump as a "pathologically lying criminal." "The difference between Joe Biden and Donald Trump is: Joe Biden is a decent law abiding person, and Donald Trump is a pathologically lying criminal," Reiner tweeted Sunday.
The star, best recognized for his role as Michael "Meathead" Stivic on the popular 1970s sitcom "All in the Family," has a history of criticizing the former president, labeling him as "mentally unstable" and accusing him of "aiding and abetting the enemy" in a December 2018 tweet.

Senate Democrats are preparing to play defense in 2024 as they look to preserve their narrow majority in the upper chamber.
The party is defending more than twice as many seats as Republicans, and it’s already facing the possibility that some of its incumbents could retire, leaving open competitive seats. There are also few opportunities for Democrats to go on the offensive. Their best targets appear to be Florida and Texas, but both states have proved elusive for Democrats in recent years.
Here are eight Senate seats most likely to flip in 2024:

Sergey Surovikin has been removed as head of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine and replaced by Valery Gerasimov. Is there a power struggle raging in Moscow? General Sergey Surovikin was commander-in-chief of the "special military operation," as Russia still officially calls its war of aggression against Ukraine, for just three months. On Thursday, Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu demoted him to deputy commander. He will now answer to Russia's chief of the general staff, General Valery Gerasimov, who will take over the leadership of Russia's military in Ukraine — nominally, at least.

A third batch of classified documents was found at President Biden's residence in Wilmington, Delaware, the president's attorneys announced Saturday. Special counsel to the president Richard Sauber disclosed in a statement that five additional pages of documents with classified markings were found at Biden's home Thursday evening, making a total of six classified documents retrieved from there.
Sauber explained that when Biden's personal attorneys identified one classified document at Biden's home on Wednesday, they "immediately" stopped searching for additional documents because they lacked the security clearances necessary to view those materials.

"Unfiltered" host Dan Bongino called out the White House for dodging questions on the investigation into classified documents found at the Penn Biden Center and President Biden's Wilmington, Delaware house. On "Fox & Friends Weekend" Saturday, Bongino argued the answers given by Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre show how "devastating" this is for the Biden administration. DAN BONGINO: Let's just say about Karine Jean-Pierre. Can we all agree that she's uniquely bad at this? Now, that may be a compliment. Jen Psaki was a very good liar. I mean, like top tier, 99 percentile, way above the mean in her lying skills. Karine Jean-Pierre is just really, really bad at this.

"Like a car, only better." That slogan for Corvette sold a lot of cars, but, until last week, it was never used with regard to classified documents. President Joe Biden responded to a question Thursday from Fox's Peter Doocy about the disclosure of additional classified documents found in his garage next to his corvette at his home in Delaware. The president responded "My Corvette is in a locked garage, OK? So, it’s not like they’re sitting out on the street." Like his car, it sounded like classified documents are even better to house in a garage. There is no question that Biden's

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy confirmed Thursday that three left-wing Democrats he long said would be booted from their committees, should he be elected to the body's top spot, would in fact not be retaining their posts.
According to McCarthy, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., will not be returning to the House Intelligence Committee, while far-left Squad member Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., will not be returning to the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
The reasons for their removal go back a number of years and involve a wide range of criticisms Republicans had, until now, been unable to act upon because of Democrats' House majority.

Jim Jordan's first investigation as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee will examine President Biden's "mishandling" of classified documents and the Justice Department's investigation. The investigation led by Jordan, R-Ohio, comes one day after Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel to examine the matter, former U.S. attorney Robert Hur. The Justice Department escalated it to a special counsel investigation from a mere review Thursday after a second stash of classified documents was found inside the garage of Biden's Wilmington, Delaware, home. The first documents were found inside the Washington, D.C., offices of the Penn Biden Center think tank.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is meeting US President Joe Biden at the White House on Friday, just weeks after Tokyo revised its defense strategy to break from its postwar restraint to take on more offensive roles with an eye toward China.
The US and Japan are currently strengthening their military, economic and technological cooperation in response to changes in the geopolitical and security environment in Asia brought on by the rise of China as a military power. Last week, Kishida described the US visit, his first to the country as premier, as "very significant." "We will show to the rest of the world an even stronger Japan-US alliance, which

First, the discovery. Now, the fallout.
Revelations that classified documents going back to President Joe Biden’s years as vice president have been found in his private office in Washington and a garage at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, are threatening to become a political – and possible legal – liability for the president.
Biden said he was “surprised” to learn of the discovery of the records. He had branded his predecessor, Donald Trump, as "irresponsible" for storing classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
But Biden’s own handling of classified materials is now under scrutiny given the revelations that documents were stored at his private office and garage.

Self-healing concrete was the foundation of ancient Rome's architectural legacy. A new study shows how to use the wonder material to create more sustainable concrete today. In Virgil's "Aeneid," a Latin epic poem, the god Jupiter prophesizes that Aeneas, a hero who fled the fall of Troy, will receive the gift of an empire that will never end. That empire was Rome.
The idea of creating this legacy of an everlasting empire was of profound importance to Rome, never more so than with its great building projects.

The Left has gone mad over Donald J. Trump—past, present, and future.
The current Democratic Party and NeverTrump “conservatives” assumed that Trump was and remains so obviously toxic that they do not have to define exactly what his evil entails.
Accordingly, they believe that any means necessary are justified to stop him. And furthermore, these zealots, when out of power, insist such extraordinary measures should not be emulated and institutionalized by their opponents, much less ever boomeranged back upon their creators. In this context, the Republicans retaking control of the House of Representatives once again raises the question whether they should reply in kind.
