Jeff Beck, One of the Guitar Masters of
the Rock Era, Dies at 78

Jeff Beck, among the most innovative and certainly the most unpredictable of ’60s guitar heroes, died on Tuesday. He was 78. “On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday,” reads a statement from his rep. “His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.” Beck recently completed a tour supporting his collaborative album with Johnny Depp, “18.” He received seven Grammys for instrumental performances, and an eighth for his 2009 work on Herbie Hancock’s “The Imagine Project.”

A true master and personal hero has passed. Makes me really feel every one of the years under my belt. I'll have to break out my Stratocaster and run through the meager few licks of his that I can play. R.I.P., Jeff... greyseal

This is a tough hit for me. I’ve been listening to JB close to 60 years now. I listened to the Yardbirds on the first crystal set I had as a lad. I have everything he’s put out in LPs, CDs, and DVDs. My favorite is the set at Ronnie Scott’s. He’s been an innovator his whole life. Definitely a guitarist’s guitarist. RIP Mr. Beck.

The mold is broken. Jeff Beck was one of a kind. Three notes in, you could tell it was him. He didn’t stay static, playing rock. He innovated. He explored. It’s a huge musical loss. RIP Jeff. You will be missed.

I, the classical music student of the family, happily credit my late, beloved brother with introducing me to some of the greatest rockers of the era which of course included Jeff Beck, and blues. If you can, take a few minutes to watch the utube video of "People Get Ready",

One of those musicians that can play anything he could imagine, automatically. I can play a lot of the things he can play but I would never be able to play HOW he played, no matter how much I practice. Absolutely one of a kind. He seemed young and fit still. Surprising and sad news.

As we’ve reported, classified documents keep popping up in President Joe Biden’s think tank, his garage, and now the “personal library” at his residence… and suddenly the president is in potentially big trouble, both legally and politically. Thursday afternoon Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the appointment of Robert Hur as special prosecutor to investigate the case. If the most partisan and hyper-political attorney general ever is forced to investigate his own boss, you know things are serious. But notice the timing of the revelations. The Biden Administration has known about some of the documents since at least before the November elections, but the public is just finding out now. Conspiracy theories

The twists and turns of President Biden’s classified documents scandal took a sharp turn on Thursday when Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Special Counsel Robert Hur to investigate the chain of custody. But the unhinged and manic host of MSNBC’s Deadline: White House, Nicolle Wallace, had her knives out and looking to take a pound of flesh from the AG, suggesting the decision was unjust and without integrity. She even suggested his investigation style was responsible for the political unrest in Brazil. “Special counsel regs are for criminal investigations that are extraordinary in nature,” she ranted

ABC, CBS, and NBC all broke in for Garland’s announcement and, with few exceptions, they brutally savaged the President and his administration for misleading the public and withholding information

Twitter let Democrats spread a false narrative that “Russian bots” were making a Republican memo on FBI surveillance abuse trend in 2018, according to the 14th installment of the “Twitter Files,” released Thursday. The failure of the website to push back as Democrats used the bot claims to discredit findings by Rep. Devin Nunes of flaws in the Trump-Russia investigation, was “one of the more shameful episodes in the recent history of our media,” according to independent journalist and author Matt Taibbi. The conservative California Republican had submitted the report “detailing abuses by the FBI in obtaining FISA surveillance authority against Trump-connected figures”

The good thing about that is the American public has a Congress that can get the answers.” The remarks came at McCarthy’s first press conference as Speaker in response to a question from the conservative One America News Network about whether McCarthy had ever used a lawyer

The story of Joe Biden and the classified documents is just getting worse. As we reported earlier, the location of the second set of classified documents was concerning — in a storage area in Biden’s Wilmington home. I knew it was going to be bad when they didn’t even say where it was when they initially announced it. Then Biden’s response to that was just horrible, claiming the classified documents were locked up next to his Corvette. “My Corvette’s in a locked garage, okay? So it’s not like they’re sitting out on the street.” That got George Washington Law School professor Jonathan Turley going. He ripped into Biden

JPMorgan touted the deal as giving it the "fastest-growing college financial planning platform" used by more than 5 million students at 6,000 institutions. It also provided access to the startup's founder, Charlie Javice, who joined the New York-based bank as part of the acquisition. Months after the transaction closed,

Jill Biden had three lesions removed on Wednesday during outpatient surgery at Walter Reed National Military Hospital - with at least two of them determined to be cancerous.  The first lady had gone in for a procedure to remove a lesion from above her right eye, which White House Dr. Kevin O'Connor said was confirmed to be basal cell carcinoma.  Doctors also excised a lesion from her left eyelid and sent it in for microscopic examination to determine if it was cancerous. They also found a lesion on her chest, which appeared to be basal cell carcinoma, and doctors extracted. They later confirmed it was that type of skin cancer.
