Consumer Safety Commission Walks Back
Gas-Stove Threat amid Backlash

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission chairman Alexander D. Hoehn-Saric issued a statement Wednesday assuring the public that his agency has no intention of banning gas stoves after a commission official drew the ire of the cooking public by suggesting the appliances might be banned in the near future due to the alleged health threat they pose to Americans. “Over the past several days, there has been a lot of attention paid to gas stove emissions and to the Consumer Product Safety Commission,” Hoehn-Saric wrote in an official statement released Wednesday. “To be clear, I am not looking to ban gas stoves and the CPSC has no proceeding to do so."

Gas stoves are only a threat if you are an insane carbon fearing moron and a member in good standing in the cult of man-made global climate change. Everything on earth is carbon-based. It is not a "pollutant" and there is nothing to be afraid of—all part of God's perfect creation. If we didn't have carbon we wouldn't have life on earth. Be thankful.

This happened years ago, but in my home town there was an electrical outage on Christmas day that lasted about 6 hours. It was COLD. We built a fire in the fireplace but the stove was electric. My grandmother who lived next door had a gas stove, so we were able to heat water for coffee and cook a hot breakfast. It helped. And one of Brandon's minions want to ban gas stoves? Idiots - all of the are idiots.

For the sake of the planet - - we must ban cooking! Cooking food is a neanderthal custom - - which no enlightened, modern humans should adapt. Humans should be more like horses and cattle and sheep - - and graze for our nourishment. If it's good enough for geese and camels - - it should be more than good enough for us.

Yeah, and Biden said he wasn't going to make the Clot Shots mandatory, either. This is guy is lying. They will try to ban gas stoves. Not because of any danger to anyone, but because they hate oil and gas. Again, not because of any danger to the Earth or anything. But because oil and gas money goes largely to rural areas, creates many wealthy people who are not in control of Democrats and the Elites. It also facilitates mobility and independence, which interferes with their power.

After the unfavorable publicity our leftist rulers have taken on this proposal, they probably intend to accomplish the same ban through a rule by a different office, perhaps the EPA. The push back on this will just make them more determined to hurt us all. That ban will probably also apply to propane powered gas grills, camp stoves and also to wood pellet and charcoal grills.

If the Republicans were smart (hahahaha) they would go on record that NO bill should be passed eliminating or forbidding fossil fuel based devices (cars, stoves, mowers, etc.) until and unless the energy grid present and future projected capacity is sufficient to provide the necessary energy for the replacement devices. How the heck can any governmental body justify mandating these insane changes without having such assurance??? It's economic suicide (actually it's murder by Democrats).

If CO2 emissions were really the dire threat the lie-berals claim they are, then the solution is genocidal population control...which would be just a bit less popular than banning gas stoves...so they're starting 'small'. The trouble with their argument is two-fold: 1. until the climate models can history-match past climate changes (little ice age, medieval warming period, etc), they are worthless for predicting future climate changes. 2. correlation does not equal causation...until atmospheric CO2 can be proven to affect global temperature (and so far, no one has done so), there is no reason to regulate CO2 output.

Walking back the statement does not mean the CSC has given up on the idea. It means they'll have to be more sneaky about implementing the ban in the future. Somehow they'll manage to get it attached to a future appropriations bill. Once someone in govt gets a lousy idea in their head it never goes away. They want to ban air conditioning in your car and home, limit our home heating capacity and don't be surprised if they try and ban hot water heaters. These enviro psycho's will stop at nothing to make our lives as miserable as possible. In the meantime, stop voting for Democrats and hold your GOP reps feet to the fire. As we’ve reported, classified documents keep popping up in President Joe Biden’s think tank, his garage, and now the “personal library” at his residence… and suddenly the president is in potentially big trouble, both legally and politically. Thursday afternoon Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the appointment of Robert Hur as special prosecutor to investigate the case. If the most partisan and hyper-political attorney general ever is forced to investigate his own boss, you know things are serious. But notice the timing of the revelations. The Biden Administration has known about some of the documents since at least before the November elections, but the public is just finding out now. Conspiracy theories

The news that the federal government is seriously considering a ban on the sale of gas stoves caught many normal Americans off guard. It shouldn’t have. Nor should they believe it when a regulator says they won’t actually ever ban the thing. In recent decades, regulators have wormed their way into every corner of our lives – banning some products, ruining others, and pricing others out of reach of working families – all allegedly for our benefit. The only thing that’s surprising is that they hadn’t targeted gas stoves earlier. This week, the Consumer Product Safety Commission Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. said that gas appliances

President Joe Biden's aides located documents with classified markings at two locations inside his home in Wilmington, Delaware, the White House counsel's office said in a statement Thursday. The documents were located in a storage area in the garage and then an adjacent room, the statement reads. The documents were located following a search of the president's homes in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. No classified documents were located in Rehoboth, the statement says. The documents were found "among personal and political papers," the statement reads. Lawyers for Biden concluded their review of the Delaware homes on Wednesday evening.

Illinois Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker signed legislation Tuesday banning the manufacture or possession of dozens of rapid-fire rifles and pistols, .50-caliber guns, and some attachments, which went into effect immediately. Pritzker signed the “Protect Illinois Communities Act” into law during a ceremony at the State Capitol in Springfield hours after House Democrats secured the final passage less than a day after Senate Democrats approved the measure. “It’s been quite a past 24 hours,” Pritzker said, according to local media.

Consumer prices decreased 0.1 percent in December according to the latest read of the Consumer Price Index released on Thursday morning, but still advanced 6.5 percent over the last 12 months, in line with Wall Street expectations for the latest report on the costs paid by Americans,  As the Bureau of Labor Statistics explained in its release of December's CPI, the index for gasoline was "by far the largest contributor to the monthly all items decrease" — a volatile index that is not expected to remain on a downward trajectory as spring and summer approach.

After a chaotic start, Republicans finally earned one of their first wins of the 118th Congress on Wednesday as they used their new majority to approve two measures aimed at protecting unborn lives and pro-life facilities.  The first measure passed condemns attacks on anti-abortion abortion facilities, including crisis pregnancy centers that do not offer abortions but do offer other services to expecting mothers. A second separate bill that passed the House Wednesday imposes new penalties on doctors if they refuse to administer care to infants born alive following abortion attempts.

Elon Musk is transforming Twitter from a government censorship bureau into a powerhouse of investigative journalism. The Biden Junta doesn’t like it. Musk’s tweet of “My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci” drew a furious reaction from White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who said criticizing Dr. Fauci was “dangerous,” “disgusting” and “divorced from reality.” Musk didn’t think so, and started digging deeper. On December 28, Musk tweeted, “Almost no one seems to realize that the head of bioethics at NIH – the person who is supposed to make sure that Fauci behaves ethically – is his wife.” That would be National Institutes of Health bioethics boss Christine Grady.
