Jill Biden had three lesions removed on Wednesday during outpatient surgery at Walter Reed National Military Hospital - with at least two of them determined to be cancerous.
The first lady had gone in for a procedure to remove a lesion from above her right eye, which White House Dr. Kevin O'Connor said was confirmed to be basal cell carcinoma.
Doctors also excised a lesion from her left eyelid and sent it in for microscopic examination to determine if it was cancerous.
They also found a lesion on her chest, which appeared to be basal cell carcinoma, and doctors extracted. They later confirmed it was that type of skin cancer.

That's DOCTOR Jill Biden, ahem! The good doctor needed a real doctor, not someone with a meaningless prefix in front of their name.

Perhaps, #1. But would you be surprised if Dr. Jill Biden surgically removed the growths herself? She's that genius, you know. Joy Behar will be reporting on it tomorrow with Whoopi et al offering their medical opinions and evaluations.

She should have the other lesion surgically removed (FJB). I have had multiple skin lesions surgically removed and never felt the need to have my hand held during the procrdures. But FJB doesn't have anything better to do because everything in the regime is going so well. S/O

I’m not a fan of Joetato or Dr. Jill, but, #3, we can do better than them. I do not wish her and her ilk (Ds) well politically; I do wish her well health-wise.

Even small sounding stuff like this is a very real cancer scare and this one has yet to play out. Best wishes to "Dr." Jill, the sooner she heads off to the private sector to lick her wounds, the better. And of course, take the horrible FJB with you.

There is a theory that all illness has an emotional underpinning. What is it that Jill does not want to see?

Oh, give me a break. I see a dermatologist every year and now because of basal cell I go twice a year. A simple procedure requiring a doctor an a doctor’s office. It is not a big deal. It is a result of too much sun as a young pale skinned lifeguard. Basal cell is the least lethal of the three primary skin cancers. Melanoma is the dangerous one. Only the Daily Mail can turn this into a big deal.

Zoom in on her face. On her way to "surgery" with full eye shadow and mascara...or false lashes walking ten paces ahead of hubby. Not a good look. My snarky side is always activated when I see her picture so color me skeptical of this whole story.

BOO HOO!! Last year I was in the Drs office for 8 hours for Mohs surgery, while they dug for basal cell. I left with an incision from my inner eye down to the corner of my mouth and drove myself alone both ways. (And I'm 6 years OLDER than she is!!) Hospital stay??
Ha! I think this was her excuse for an eyelift. Let's watch carefully to see if she has a wider eyed look when she heals.

My arms look like I have been in a knife fight since I have a bunch of pre-cancerous lesions cut off. Blond hair, fair skin and too many fairways. I hope she is ok but this is hardly big news.

Mohs surgery is very painstaking and can take many hours. Maybe they played Scrabble in between rounds?

When Jill entered the surgeon’s office he looked at the eyelid lesion and said, “This looks serious! How did you first notice that something was wrong?” And the lesion replied, “Well, Doc, it started as a wart on my ass.”

I wish her well. I have to go in every six months. Thought my Mediterranean genes were protecting me. Painful but it isn’t a big deal because she has been being watched for years by DC docs. Guess payback for beach time.

And I've been trying to get an appointment at the VA for basal cell carcinoma on my ear and cheek for three months and still have not gotten anything but promises and lip service... They wonder why the suicide rate for veterans is so high, every time I have to spend 30 minutes begging for treatment is depressing.
