Here’s something that will leave a bad taste in peoples’ mouths. Gov. Hochul quietly snuck a proposal to outlaw new gas stoves into the “New York Housing Compact” she unveiled during her State of the State speech Tuesday — urging people to ditch their kitchens’ gas grills and go electric. The ban would affect old-timers and millennials who are obsessed with cast-iron pans that are tricky to use on electric stoves. CORRECTION*

They want to ban natural gas using products and force us to use electricity using products and then they are SHUTTING DOWN electric producing power plants. We don't have enough electrical power now in some parts of the USA. The electrical grid is always being discussed because of its vulnerability.
These liberals are idiots.

When there is public outcry about banning the sale of a particular product, the ban is retracted. However, the idea is not abandoned and instead the manufacturers are regulated to the point that the cost to produce the product is no longer profitable. Additionally, other ways are already being used such as new construction in NYC is not allowed to have natural gas installed at all.

once again, the demcommie vote counters of New York prove Josef Stalin's quote remarkably on the money:

Keep it up, Gov. Hochul. We need even more of those great New York restaurants down here in Florida to go with the ones that moved due to COVID shutdowns.

They are trying to put every restaurant in the country out of business. Just one more way to destroy the economy and our way of life. Complete control of mind and body is what this administration's agenda is.

Well, Those in New York who decided they had to vote for the "D", no matter what, can live with that decision. It's only going to get worse! So, those with the money, and the will, will pack up and join those THOUSANDS who have left New York for TN, TX and FL. Soon New York will only have Homeless People and those who work at the TV Stations!

“Old-timers and millennials”? Apparently, Jennifer, Kyle, Zach and Bernadette couldn’t put their four heads together to research this article. Gas stoves are used in most high-end restaurants, as they are easier and more reliable with which to cook. I would imagine there will be some backlash. But then again, it’s NYC. Maybe not.

Is there a term for 'rulership by stupid people'? We need one.
The people of New York voted for this. Someone once observed government is a reflection of the people. Sad, but true. It doesn't speak well for humanity.

Number 21, you ask: "Is there a term for 'rulership by stupid people'? We need one."

Well, Wikipedia says:
"A kakistocracy (/kækɪˈstɒkrəsi/, /kækɪsˈtɒ-/) is a government run by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous citizens.[1]: 54 [2][3] The word was coined as early as the seventeenth century."
Merriam-Webster has this: idiocracy
1. : a society governed or populated by idiots
2. : government by idiots
***
I like the sound of "Idiotocracy" better. The Urban dictionary says:
Idiotocracy: A system in which being an idiot is rewarded.
***
In any case, whose portraits should accompany each of these dictionary entries?

We live in Ct. but within minutes of the NY border, and every time I scream about the unethical and stupid Kathy Hochul my husband makes a point of telling me WE don't live in NY State, and certainly no longer live in Manhattan, and it is rather delightful to see Manhattanites, who voted solidly for the woman, feel the brunt of her idiocy. The only fly in the ointment is that her biggest and richest supporters will simply make one of their OTHER homes their legal address and won't have to really suffer. (As to Lee Zelden,. he proved that, largely, the rest of the state wanted someone with common sense and a backbone........I wish I could say that if he ran again he would actually win, but "these pea;le" just don't care.)

New Yorkers. How does it feel to be ruled by a tyrant who doesn't give a d*mn about you?
Ask her why she felt the need to sneak this past everyone.
Does the legislature have anything to say about this, or is this a royal decree?

Once EVERYTHING is electric, they can throttle you back easily. Or just shut you off.
Some future message from The Power Company:
"We would like to inform you that we have information that you have been supporting people who provide disinformation, so your electricity will be unavailable for the next three weeks. We trust that you will revise your support for such wrong headed thinking so that we can again provide you with electrical power."

Princess Kathy is worried there isn't enough crime, so she is going to use billions in NY taxpayer dollars to erect low-income hopusing in suburban neighborhoods to infuse our areas with crime, drugs and illegal aliens and the "joy" they bring. This will all be done Upstate because we are the last bastion of sanity in New York.

Harder for government to control folks who use gas appliances. They can shut electricity off at the source. This is all about sneaking government control over us into the national fabric again. Of course it is also part of the WEF as well.
