House Oversight Panel Calls on Twitter
Officials to Testify on Censorship of
Hunter Biden Laptop Story

The House Oversight Committee has asked former Twitter executives to testify at a hearing next month on the platform’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story in October 2020. At the time, Twitter banned the New York Post’s story on the laptop under its “hacked materials” policy. Now, committee chairman James Comer (R., Ky.) has asked former Twitter officials Vijaya Gadde, Yoel Roth and James Baker to testify about the decision. “On December 6, 2022, I wrote to you requesting your appearance at a Committee hearing during the 118th Congress. Your attendance is necessary because of your role in suppressing Americans’ access to information about the Biden family on Twitter

Why is the committee 'asking' former Twitter execs to testify instead of issuing subpoenas? The Big Three received letters on 12/6/22 and from that date have 6 weeks to respond. If they refuse, subpoenas will be forthcoming but valuable time is being wasted in the process. Subpoenas should have been issued on Jan 3, 2023. Refusal to respond by the former Twitter execs kicks the can down the road from February into March and possibly April before things get sorted out. American want action, not stalling tactics. Wake up Congress!

I have a much better move. Force the PRIOR employees of Twitter and the FBLIE to testify, then hang all those that lie or were involved. Since the Democraps set the standard for punishment without a trial for all the J6 accused, it only follows we need to continue it in this circumstance!

Normally this would be a huge nothing burger. Since Musk will expose every detail and fact, those testifying can't get away with the usual lies and I don't recall. I suspect a whole lot 'under advise from my attorney, I exercise my 5th amendment rights' At least on rep should ask why their 5th amendment right shouldn't be suppressed like they suppress 1st amendment rights?

I was afraid of this sort of thing: a flashy media event, the sole purpose of which is to let everybody climb on top of a soap box and inveigh against some nebulous evil. The thing is, corporate media will ignore it. It will be no more than flatulence in a hurricane and will only result in the loss of valuable and limited time. We already know what happened, and we know why! They're a legislature and they need to be legislating laws and penalties to stop this from happening again.

Twitter let Democrats spread a false narrative that “Russian bots” were making a Republican memo on FBI surveillance abuse trend in 2018, according to the 14th installment of the “Twitter Files,” released Thursday. The failure of the website to push back as Democrats used the bot claims to discredit findings by Rep. Devin Nunes of flaws in the Trump-Russia investigation, was “one of the more shameful episodes in the recent history of our media,” according to independent journalist and author Matt Taibbi. The conservative California Republican had submitted the report “detailing abuses by the FBI in obtaining FISA surveillance authority against Trump-connected figures”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Thursday argued President Biden knew his private office had classified documents, or he wouldn’t have had his attorneys remove things from his office. “I think if you call a lawyer to remove something for your office, he must have known ahead of time,” McCarthy said. “So, I think he has a lot of answers to the American public. The good thing about that is the American public has a Congress that can get the answers.” The remarks came at McCarthy’s first press conference as Speaker in response to a question from the conservative One America News Network about whether McCarthy had ever used a lawyer

The story of Joe Biden and the classified documents is just getting worse. As we reported earlier, the location of the second set of classified documents was concerning — in a storage area in Biden’s Wilmington home. I knew it was going to be bad when they didn’t even say where it was when they initially announced it. Then Biden’s response to that was just horrible, claiming the classified documents were locked up next to his Corvette. “My Corvette’s in a locked garage, okay? So it’s not like they’re sitting out on the street.” That got George Washington Law School professor Jonathan Turley going. He ripped into Biden

JPMorgan Chase on Thursday shut down the website for a college financial aid platform it bought for $175 million after alleging the company's founder created nearly 4 million fake customer accounts. The country's biggest bank acquired Frank in September 2021 to help it deepen relationships with college students, a key demographic, a Chase executive told CNBC at the time. JPMorgan touted the deal as giving it the "fastest-growing college financial planning platform" used by more than 5 million students at 6,000 institutions. It also provided access to the startup's founder, Charlie Javice, who joined the New York-based bank as part of the acquisition. Months after the transaction closed,

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been focused on “LGBTQI+” inclusivity and “gender-neutral” language under President Joe Biden — even as it has struggled to manage the nation’s commercial air traffic. On Wednesday, the FAA ordered the first nationwide “ground stop” since Sep. 11, 2001, after a computer system failed overnight, grounding thousands of flights and throwing the country’s air traffic into chaos. It was the second crisis in as many months, after a winter storm snarled air travel during the holiday season. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg blamed Southwest Airlines, whose personnel management system caused company-wide cancelations that accounted for much of the nationwide disruption. But the FAA’s own systems

They also found a lesion on her chest, which appeared to be basal cell carcinoma, and doctors extracted. They later confirmed it was that type of skin cancer.

Next, he was AWOL during the railroad strike negotiations and really played no role in brokering a deal. As a matter of fact, he was on vacation in Portugal at the time.
