There’s no doubt that our nation, which a majority of voters say is headed in the wrong direction, needs salvaging.
Half of Americans are counting on Republican politicians to get serious about the myriad of crises facing our country and actually do something effective. The problem? Congressional Republicans are, as of late, historically weak.
They never seem to tire of capitulating to the Democrat’s radical policy whims. They refuse to hold tyrannical bureaucrats and politicized departments accountable for acting unjustly. And they refuse to leverage their power to stop bad-faith policies in their tracks.
Over and over and over again, the GOP establishment and its allies have burned Republican voters

They don't WANT to save our nation, they want to make a lot of money illegally and have power. Saving the nation is irrelevant to them.

We need to form our own party. The GOP does not care about us. Its time to stop the BS.

My optimism is waining. Most people who were born between 1980 and today have no idea about how our government was formed, its purpose, what it is supposed to do and what it is prohibited from doing. They are absolutely clueless and in their bleating cowardice and need for safety and safe spaces, they will surrender their individual rights to the totalitarians that prey on their fear, purposeful ignorance, and stupidity. There are more of these types than not. Our republic is doomed.

Establishment GOP is the same as Democrat for anything important.
Why expect anything different than supporting the Dem agenda? They are the same party.

Kentucky needs to put Mitch McConnell out of office. If they don't then they are the problem. It was Mitch that destroyed the republicans in this election.

You have to wonder how Kentucky sends both turtle and Rand Paul to the senate!
Rand would be my choice for Trump's running mate. He has always bucked the establishment, and was one of two who challenged Fauci. And Trump would be safer, not to have a corrupt rino waiting in the wings if he were to die.

The GOPe has either gotten in bed with Xi and the chicoms or Klaus and the Great Reset crowd. I can't tell which. Either way, the dollar signs and power that will be afforded to them is irresistible and they aren't here to save America. Right, Turtle?

Re #9 - Maybe both?
One of my frustratios with the GOP is that they can't handle being called racist, sexist, etc and yet, Donald Trump has been called so much worse and all the other attacks on him and his family and he keeps fighting because he loves this country and doesn't need to be in political/elected office to make money or keep his riches. And Sen Blackburn and Cotton, et al - how the heck could you both vote for McConnell as leader? When these tow sanctimonious senators come on TV I turn the channel - with their aw shucks, we wish the Biden Administration would see the error of their ways and change their policies. I'll pray for the President. Game a break.
And you never hear Dems attack their own unlike Republicans such as the doofus LT Gov of Georgia. Yes, Herschel walker is not my first idea of what a Senator should be but then again neither is Warnock and Joe Biden is certainly not my idea of what a US President should act and say but the Dems 0 they stick together.
There should be ads on TV and social media slamming the Biden Admin for their attack on the US Lobster industry while Canada - fishing in the same waters with the same whales - has not imposed any restrictions on their lobstermen. And there shopped ne ads on how the 9000 pleases for oil/gs drilling on federal lands doesn't mean actual drilling because the companies still must get the various permits and those are being held up on purpose.
If too many Americans are not willing to get the facts or look for the facts outside of legacy media then we have to force down their throats in the hope enough will finally get it.
And yes, the GOP in Congress can go have all their investigations and propose legislation to help this country at the same time - sorry Liz Peek but the Bidens MUST be investigated along with all those associated with Hunter, etc.

And there should be ads on how the 9000 leases....

Re#8: Do any of you truly believe the smelly, unwashed, Walmart-shopping "voters" of this country actually "send" any office holder to D. C.?
Elections (worldwide) are an elaborate show staged by the Tyrant Class to convince us deplorables we actually have a say in how our lives are controlled. We do not.

I think #5 is really on to something, maybe something dark. I often wondered what all that wealth Mrs. Mitch could bring to the table. Payoffs to vote with Mitch. How much moolah does it take to sell out the American people, and not just the ones from Kentucky.

Well folks... it's more evident than ever....WE need a constitutional convention so WE can take control of our country again...the rinos in DC have been paid off for years and they will do nothing to endanger their pockets...when the cards are stacked against you...you must play a different game...

#1 and other are absolutely correct.
Getting into politics, specifically getting elected to Congress, either House or Senate
long ago became just a stepping stone to becoming a multi millionaire. It's only gotten worse
over the years.
Now, as previously stated by others, power and money are the ONLY goals. Making the
nation better, helping citizens and trying to improve the security of our Republic is not
even on the table.
If you took every person in Congress who is REALLY trying to improve our country
and help its citizens, I'd bet money you could count them on both hands, maybe just
one hand.
Until the reasons for getting elected changes from what it is today beck to what it
once was, we're on a down hill slide !
This is why President Trump was so vilified. He loves this country and he couldn't,
be bought, at least not as cheaply as, oh, say, Jolt'n Joe and his side kick li'l Hunter !!

They're not interested because they've been bought and paid for by the crowd bringing us the Build Back Better crap sandwich.
Slowly, it seems, we are beginning to see that there is nothing worth saving and that we need our own version of BBB--and woe is them when we do because for them, it ain't going to be pretty.

The socialist/dems & RINOS always try to use the divide & conquer ploy. That attack a eliminates the best votes and we now get the worst as we clearly see.

What is described here is politics. As Mark Twain said over a century ago, “There is no distinctly native American criminal class except Congress.” There are no exceptions.

I have been a life long Republican from my first vote in 1972 at age 24 until now. I"m here to tell you I have reached the conclusion that conservatives need to form a new political party. The Republican Party needs to go the way of the Whig Party, the predecessor of the Republicans, in the 1800's. We need to form a new vibrant party based on conservative principles. The new Conservative Party may lose in 2024 but it will wipe out the Uniparty as the American public are persecuted by them and realize there is an alternative to drain the swamp. The Republican Party committed suicide and this year this was the absolute last straw.
