Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) tamped down the establishment media’s efforts to escalate a supposed rift between former President Donald Trump and the governor, telling reporters that “people just need to chill out.” The remark came at the end of a news conference on Wednesday, following the governor awarding $8.7 million for Hurricane Ian recovery. When asked about the potential “Civil War” brewing in the GOP, with people supposedly choosing between Trump and DeSantis, the governor dismissed the speculation.

I like the reply. I hope that he was not the author of attacks on Trump publicly delivered by operatives so can be above it all in a “who me?” Moment. I always liked Trump’s tweets because he did them in his own name; he didn’t get others to do his dirty work so he could be sanctimonious and holier than thou. A lot of people probably prefer dishonesty.

Proper thing would be for Trump and DeSantis to sit down and discuss/decide whose candidacy would be best in 2024. Then do accordingly. IMO, a Trump/DeSantis ticket in ‘24, DeSantis in ‘28 would be best. Maybe Trump could ‘reshape’ the VP office by giving DeSantis direct authority on domestic policy and departments. With State, Justice, Defense, Treasury reporting directly. Anything is possible. The future of the entire 250 year old ‘ American Experiment ‘ is at stake.

DeSantis was just reelected guv. He’s got a huge job to do and doesn’t want distractions. Florida is the best State in the country to live right now and RDS is largely responsible for that. His attitude about Trump and running for POTUS is pitch perfect. He should not stoop to juvenile taunts by DJT.

The media want a Trump/DeSantis civil war almost as much as they want a black/white race war. Ain't gonna happen. Trump realized insulting DeSantis is a losing strategy, and wised up and became diplomatic. DeSantis has been diplomatic all along. And by the way, DeSantis might just decide to keep the job Floridians just elected him to do. He might just wait until 2028.

The 2024 election campaigns have already started. This is the primary phase. Every candidate will strive to beat all the others and that is entirely fair. In this phase you vote FOR a candidate. Only after the primary is over should voters switch gears and prepare to vote AGAINST someone. The someone you vote against should then be the lying, despicable candidate of the blue party. Remember that in the primary for the 2016 election Trump and Senator Cruz spoke some ill of each other. That was just politics. The same is true now. Trump still remains my preferred candidate. As President Lincoln said of General Grant, I need this man, because he fights. Trump has proven he will fight for us.

I'm tired of losing elections that we should win, and an objective look at how independents voted in key Senate races (PA, NH, GA, NV and AZ) last week clearly points to a Trump problem. The independents voted against Trump's hand picked Trump loyalist candidates in a huge way (12-20% more for Dems). Trump is the Dems most effective "get out the vote" strategy. He energizes Dems and many independents like nobody else can. Until we collectively realize that Trump is a drag on the party, we will continue to lose elections we should win.

I don't believe there is a "war" civil or otherwise between them. I think it's psychological warfare on the Ftards and libs. They relish it and become aroused thinking there is in fighting amongst American Patriots. Nope. Trump and DeSantis are smart men surrounded by smart people. The America first movement is a sure winner. Even Ftards want a slice of that fiscal pie. My guess is "divide and conquer" is being acted out for the pleasure of the leftist cabal. President Trump and Governor DeSantis winking and laughing the whole time.

Former president Donald Trump ripped into National Review on Friday, arguing that it is a magazine without any remaining influence in an official statement issued along with an image of his 2024 campaign logo. “Why does anyone read the National Review. They are so negative to Conservatives and me, and are seen as being led by lightweights that couldn’t shine the shoes of Bill Buckley. They have absolutely nothing going, it is failing fast, and my only question is, who is paying for the losses — when it loses plenty of money and serves no purpose at all. Musk’s demand that Twitter staff go ‘hardcore,’ or leave was apparently not well received

The best news of all may just be that conservative rock star Jim Jordan (R-OH) will chair the House Judiciary Committee. And he is ready to get down to business. His first order of business?
