Sen. Rick Scott is running to unseat Minority Leader Mitch McConnell as the top Republican in the Senate, Fox News Digital confirmed Tuesday.
Scott, R-Fla., the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, has been at odds with McConnell. R-Ky., for most of this year over political strategy. Scott is also more closely aligned with former President Donald Trump, who has called for McConnell to be removed as Senate Republican leader.
Scott repeatedly declined to rule out challenging McConnell in recent months, but didn't confirm his intentions until Tuesday during a closed door Senate GOP lunch.

Won't happen. Going to be Deja Vu, all over again, since in the House, the Repubes decided that they will be backing McCarthy...Even MTG is supporting him wholeheartedly.

It’s time to Ditch Mitch. Been there long enough and the damage he has done is irrepairable. Enough already.

The house has to vote again in public on the house floor. They have to go to podium and verbally justify their choice for speaker for all to see.

No doubt China Mitch needs to go. But, if he loses, as an act of revenge he will resign allowing the democrat governor of Kentucky to appoint a democrat as the new senator.

I'm all for naming Mitch as Minority Leader Emertus. Let him have the prime office space, the limo driver, and all the other trappings of the office. But he needs to stay in the Senate until the good people of Kentucky wisely elect and install in office a Republican governor (which will be in November 2023).

When you pick a loser for a leader, you expose yourself as a loser. Way to go Republican Senators and Congresscritters.
The best compliment I can give them is that they don't suck as bad as the democrats

Call your Senator and ask them who they are supporting. Persuade them if you can.

May not happen, but this would explain why Turtle is in such a hurry to get that vote over and done with. He is about as bad as an embedded tick when it comes to voters being unable to remove him from office.

McConnell's cabal of corporate and government elitists need to be fired. McConnell and that group are not responsive to the electorate, and are dismissive. It is time for the electorate to let them know we matter, and have a say in our government.

#2 I read yesterday that MTG was supporting McCarthy rather than have the Rhinos cross over and try to put Liz Cheney in. Apparently, that was being floated.

Well... McCarthy is a rino....and he's been paid off....but...there are a lot of new house members who are not so inclined to follow the rules set by the rinos...this should be fun to watch....the DC swamp sighed a big relief when McCarthy won....BUT... it ain't over till it's over...he'll have to play both sides of the game...and I don't see him winning ...

I wouldn’t support either one of them. Scott’s so-called plan for America was not only arrogant and self-serving, it was an electoral disaster.

Good for Senator Rick Scott! Cocaine Mitch hates President Trump, hates the MAGA movement, he's bought and paid for by the Chinese Communist Govt. has worked to stop all MAGA candidates from winning and is and has worked with the Swamp to stop conservatives from being elected all over this beloved country!. McConnell is not only a wolf in sheep's clothing, but he's the devil himself. Please Lord, remove this traitor from our government by any means possible!!!
