Time To Apologize To Georgia

Major League Baseball moved its 2021 All-Star Game from Atlanta because the Legislature passed an election law that the Democrats and media claimed was designed to suppress the vote, especially that of minorities. Yet somehow Georgia voters turned out in higher numbers earlier this week than they did in the two previous midterm elections. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred owes Atlanta, the entire state of Georgia, the Braves, and, in fact, the entire nation an apology. On April 2, the day after the 2021 baseball season began, Manfred announced that he had “decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating

If their was voter suppression, don't you think the left media would have those people on their programs stating their experience? Every day? That they don't, doesn't that tell you something?

Hold them accountable. Start asking about an apology at every press conference. Force them to acknowledge they were wrong.

That was woke, virtue-signaling grandstanding on an epic scale. Think about all the personnel, manpower used, materials moved, contracts cancelled, concessions gone, to set up the All-Stars in another state, and flop big time.

The authors missed one - Stacey “Tank” Abrams was behind this decision too. Perhaps the stomping she received on Tuesday can be considered her apology.

Let's rub it in a little more by reminding them that the Georgia Bulldogs also won the National Championship last year. Maybe moving the AS game from Atlanta removed some sort of curse.

2018 Stacey lost by 50,000 votes. 2022 Stacey lost by 300,000 votes. No need to apologize to Georgia, Georgia took care of the problem.

Policy After Election: I&I/TIPP Poll

Among the many different issues that roiled the electorate in this 2022 midterm-election cycle, perhaps none had as large an impact as illegal immigration. On this issue, American voters remain fed up with the status quo and want major changes made, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. Given the more than 500% increase in illegal crossings in the last five years, we asked poll respondents shortly before the election what should be done about the “costly disruption of border cities, human trafficking, higher crime and suspected terrorists crossing the border.” One answer stood out as unworkable to the 1,359 voters who answered the online I&/TIPP Poll,

The anticipated red tsunami didn’t hit the U.S. in the midterm elections, which is a disappointment. Even so, beginning next year the Republicans will probably have a majority in the House and likely 50 lawmakers or, possibly, even a slight majority of 51 in the Senate. If what the Democrats and their propagandists in the media have been saying for years is correct, we’ve now entered America’s fascist stage. It’s a lie, of course, but let’s play along and take a look at what to expect from this coming regime of “fascism.”

"The Red Wave.” If you’ve been watching Fox News and frequenting conservative websites the last few weeks (and this commentator admits he does more than his share of both), you were hearing how Republicans were going to have another one of those massive 2010-style seat pickups in the House. Win 56 seats in the Senate. Celebrate upsets in Michigan and even New York governors’ mansions. Yeah, right. Fox News commentators (yeah, doing it again) in the wee hours of Wednesday morning were struggling to justify salvaging at least a “Red Ripple.” Turned out to be a Red Puddle. Of blood.

The Democrats and their media accomplices keep telling us the Republicans are the fascists and autocrats hungry for power. But just the opposite is true. The Democrats themselves made it clear during the pandemic that they are the party of authoritarianism. In the spring of 2020, this country went into a lockdown. As Jeffrey Tucker of the Brownstone Institute has noted, government officials canceled public worship services, segregated the large cities, abolished in-person education, foisted masks on all the kids, destroyed millions of businesses, and censored speech

You experience what Homer Simpson described as “that sweet couple of seconds before I remember why I’m sleeping on the lawn.” You feel around and breathe a sigh of relief that you are still indoors, slowly open one eye, see your spouse glaring at you, and it all floods back. You had too much fun last night. Biden Makes It Official: Grand Theft Election

Sleepy Joe Biden may have trouble shuffling onto, and especially off of, a stage. But at the podium at Union Station Wednesday last, America’s counterfeit chief executive managed a nifty little two-step that made it official: Grand Theft Election II is coming to a polling place near you. Step One: Dredge up the Meticulously Concocted “Big Lie” Narrative. As previously highlighted on these pages, the January 6 show trials on Capitol Hill and before hanging judges in D.C. courts bundled hyperbole and one-sided testimony into a fabulist storyline: that an infuriated President Trump and disparate collaborators executed a massive and unlawful conspiracy,

The closer we got to the midterm elections, the more desperate Democrats have been to either downplay the crime wave or blame it all on Republicans. But it turns out that the FBI has been making it more difficult to get accurate crime data as well. For months, Democrats and the press have argued that crime isn’t as bad as it’s being made to seem and that Republicans are sensationalizing it to scare voters. “If it’s the fall of a year ending in an even number, you can be pretty sure Republicans will try to scare you with paranoia

Benjamin Franklin was a prodigious inventor. He created devices to fulfill a need or desire. We find nothing strange about this today, it is a classic description of how the marketplace operates. We forget that in Europe, before and during colonial times, there was an upper class and commoners. The upper class was made of owners who made the rules, the commoners were workers who obeyed the rules. If there was a need to be fulfilled the ruling class made that decision. Commoners stayed desperately poor. The wilderness of America changed this hierarchy.

David Strom at Hot Air noticed something in the Democrats’ campaign messaging as the midterm elections draw near. Namely, the emergence of a talking point about how if Republicans win control of Congress they will “crash the economy.” There’s only one reason to say this. Democrats know they’ve set the economy on course to crash and they’re hoping to blame Republicans when it does. Describing Republicans as a threat to democracy hasn’t swayed voters, and not for lack of trying. President Biden gave a speech on Wednesday once again accusing Republicans of this crime. His party has only lost support despite two years of pushing this line.

Turn on the television, listen to the radio, or take a stroll through the internet. Democrats and their media confederates are busy dishing out the nonsense in helpings large enough to choke a giant. Either they are intentionally trying to deceive, or they are extraordinarily puerile. Or both. There are no other possibilities. To listen to the Democrats as they go begging for votes, to consume the tripe that their helpers in the press are putting out, one would think the Republicans are fascist white supremacists who will kill democracy while setting up themselves in a permanent position of unchallengeable power.

Earlier this morning, David looked at the startling way in which Winsome Sears cut her ties with Donald Trump after rising to prominence as a staunch soldier in the Trump army. That clearly caught some people by surprise, though not everyone. Sears wasn’t alone, however. Another fervent Trump supporter has appeared to similarly throw in the towel. Famed cartoonist Scott Adams, best known for his iconic Dilbert series, made a very brief but apparently definitive declaration on Twitter yesterday. Former President Donald Trump has superpowers. That much was established when he first stepped onto the political scene in 2015 and demonstrated his uncanny ability to transform folks on the left into crazed caricatures of themselves just by giving an utterance. It seemed that anytime he so much as sneezed, it immediately caused those who are left of center to have a collective meltdown. But now, he has revealed another superhuman talent: The ability to turn Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis into a Romneyesque neocon just by saying unkind words about him. That’s right. Ever since Trump took a few shots at the person believed to be his most formidable opponent

As Republican Adam Laxalt’s lead in the Nevada Senate race dwindles with 93% of the vote counted, his campaign is reportedly “bracing for a loss” and weighing asking for a recount. Laxalt is ahead of incumbent Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto by just 800 votes after 23,000 mail-in ballots were tabulated in Clark County on Friday. The results from the mail-in ballots are favoring Cortez Masto at a 2-1 rate. Clark County, home to Las Vegas, reportedly has about 27,000 mail-in ballots left to be counted.

Control of the Senate still hung in the balance on Friday, forcing Senate Republicans to briefly put aside their intraparty blame game as they go all-in on winning Georgia’s Senate runoff. The Senate majority could be decided in the coming days if Democrats defend the seats they hold in both Arizona and Nevada, where votes continue to be counted. But if the GOP picks up just one of those seats, Senate control will be determined by a Dec. 6 runoff election in the Peach State. GOP operatives continued to express optimism about the party’s chances of picking up a seat in Nevada

Phoenix - Incumbent Democrat Mark Kelly defeated Republican Blake Masters on Friday to win a U.S. Senate seat in Arizona, a contest that left Democrats one seat short in the battle for control of the chamber with two more races to be decided. The win by Kelly, a former astronaut whose wife, Gabby Giffords, survived an assassination attempt when she was a U.S. lawmaker, meant Democrats had battled to a 49-49 tie in the race for the Senate. "I'm humbled by the trust our state has placed in me to continue this work," Kelly said on Twitter. Control of the Senate - and the shape of President

Nevada incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto survived a challenge, defeating Republican Adam Laxalt and helping Democrats hold onto U.S. Senate, according to the Associated Press call of the race. Nevada was one of Republicans' top targets as they tried to break the Senate's 50-50 split, and Cortez Masto's reelection was a toss-up coming into the election. She was running neck and neck with Laxalt, Nevada's former attorney general who has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump. Cortez Masto served two terms as Nevada's attorney general before becoming the first Latina ever elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016. She campaigned on women's reproductive rights,
