A New York Congressman who lost his seat in the midterm elections criticized New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, saying she didn't do enough to help. Sean Patrick Moloney has represented New York's 17thcongressional district in the House of Representatives since 2013 but lost to his Republican rival this week, a stunning defeat for the party. Moloney was asked by The New York Times on Thursday who was to blame for their party's poor performance. The Times asked Moloney in the interview: "There is a debate in New York right now about the New York Democratic Party, and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Comments:

AOC is a show horse, not a work horse. They should not expect her to life a finger to help anyone but herself.

Great comments, OP. Moloney should rely on his own abilities rather than attaching himself to someone else's success. (I know, I know. Mrs Clinton attached herself to her dear (philandering) husband and his Arkansas successes with the goal of taking over in the WH. )

Sean Patrick Maloney has to come up with excuses to cover himself for not campaigning with a winning agenda. If his constituents voted for a Republican candidate in his district rather than him, they certainly were not about to listen to the likes of Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and her socialist political agenda.

That’s because she knew the rigging was fixed and she would win easily. So why bother campaigning. Biden set the example.

New York City voters approved three ballot questions on Tuesday concerning race proposed by the city's Racial Justice Commission. Former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio established the commission in 2021 as a "temporary appointed government body that is tasked with reviewing the entire City Charter and proposing amendments," according to the commission’s 2021 final report. One of the ballot measures approved in the Nov. 8 election creates a permanent Office of Racial Equity within the city government, along with a Racial Equity Commission to establish priorities and "review agency and citywide Racial Equity Plans." SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Democrats’ decision to back an independent rather than nominate a member of their own party to take on Republican Mike Lee transformed the state’s U.S. Senate race from foregone conclusion to closely watched slugfest. (Snip) Ultimately, though, it wasn’t even close. Lee is on his way to a double-digit win. That’s spurring a debate: Did Democrats’ strategy create a blueprint to make Republicans campaign hard, compete for moderates and expend resources in future races? Or does the sizeable loss prove that Republicans’ vice grip is impenetrable in the short term, no matter the strategy?

Voters sent a variety of mixed signals in the 2022 midterm elections, but one thing came through quite clearly: they don’t want President Joe Biden to run for a second term. According to national exit polling, 67% of midterm voters don’t want Biden to run for president in 2024, compared to 30% who want him to run. The current numbers show that, unsurprisingly, 90% of self-identified Republicans who voted in the midterm don’t want to see Biden run again, but 38% of self-identified Democrats also don’t want to see him run again. Those numbers are consistent with polling conducted in

Former President Donald Trump has superpowers. That much was established when he first stepped onto the political scene in 2015 and demonstrated his uncanny ability to transform folks on the left into crazed caricatures of themselves just by giving an utterance. It seemed that anytime he so much as sneezed, it immediately caused those who are left of center to have a collective meltdown.
