Josh Hawley Blasts GOP Leadership for

Two days after Republicans dramatically underperformed in the midterms, but even as control of Congress remains too close to call, Sen. Josh Hawley has completed his autopsy and offered it to his party’s leaders for consideration. The topline: The failure is all their fault. The Missouri populist believes the Republican Party offered voters plenty in the way of generalized gripes about Democrats and President Biden – but no actionable alternative. Hawley blames that on what he calls “Washington Republicanism,” specifically Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. He also thinks it was a bad idea to talk about making changes to Social Security and Medicare.

It wouldn't surprise me if Mitch "MultiUseless" McConnell is sharing a bottle of Kentucky bourbon with his good ole friend, Chuck Schumer. "Hey Chuck, I did what you told me, why the brush off?". "Chuck, pay attention to me, are we still soul mates?".

Republican Senators being weenies and keeping an evil treacherous greedy crook like Mitch as SML or minority leader all these years is disgraceful. I am thankful for Josh Hawley with more GUTS than the so-called leaders of the Senate who always run as good Godly Christians.

Thank you Senator Hawley for stating that political victories are not won with nothing. McConnell never does produce an agenda that voters can get behind. Rich Scott did produce one but it was 60 pages long, involving more than a hundred programs. Too much minutia for a campaign. Trump won by passionately advocating for a relatively few issues that resonated with the voters. The Democrats speak effectively, if not truthfully, as one about a few issues while the Republicans are every which way and are usually incoherent. All three at the leadership level in the Senate need to go.

It certainly seems the leadership along with the GOP chairperson is to blame for the lack of political ads reinforcing in the public's minds how horrible it is under the democrats. They had a goldmine of issues to highlight: 1- The lack of border enforcement which is allowing illegals, many of which are criminals and/or terrorists, as well as fentanyl to kill hundreds of thousands of Americans. 2- Where were the ads highlighting the huge spike in violent crime, along with huge increases in theft? 3- Where were the ads highlighting the huge cost of the Ukraine war and the unwillingness of the admin to push for a settlement to stop the carnage. Over 7,000 Ukranian women & children have been killed so far. How many more have to be killed before Zeklensky is willing to negotiate? 4- Where were the ads highlighting the admin flooding the economy with trillions of dollars causing the extreme inflation were are seeing. 5- What about the ads about the incompetent mismanagement of our energy resources which has caused Biden to beg Venezuelan for their dirty oil? 6- What about tall the cultural issues including the democrats love of the sexualization of grade school children? 7- What about the admin picking winners & losers such as facing lower income taxpayers to contribute some of their meager earnings to subsidize rich kids college education? Why was there no money for vocational training? Name a single instance of the admin admonishing college administrators the unjustified raising of tuition, even during zoom class instruction? 8- All the many other things this admin has botched.

Totally disgusted with the GOP right now. Can’t decide if it’s their weakness or stupidity I hate most. Ran head long into the grinder like they hadn’t learned a d**n thing from 2020. Fix the problems FIRST! The county’s in such turmoil, one party has no morals or integrity and the other party has no sense or backbone.

U.S. Sen. Patty Murray will likely be the first woman to serve as Senate president pro tempore, a position that would place her third in line for the presidency. Murray will also likely chair the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee, controlling the federal purse strings and directing billions of dollars of spending. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer plans to nominate Murray, who was just elected to a sixth term, to the position, Murray’s office said Wednesday. The Senate president pro tem presides over the Senate in the vice president’s absence. The position is third in line for the presidency, after the vice president and the House speaker.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said in a tweet that he spoke with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and verifies "the premises of Article 4," which allows member countries to bring security concerns for discussion. The discussions come after Russian missiles crossed into Poland and killed two people, according to a U.S. intelligence official who spoke with the Associated Press. The two people were reportedly killed in the village of Przewodów, where a projectile struck, which is near the Ukrainian border. Following the reported explosion in Poland, NATO ambassadors will hold a meeting on Wednesday at Poland's request, according to Reuters.
The one promise Biden has kept since taking office 7 replies

The one promise that President Joe Biden has faithfully kept is his pledge to "close down" fossil fuels. We get two-thirds of our energy in America from fossil fuels, and almost one-third of our power comes from coal. That's quadruple the amount of energy we get from wind and solar, which are niche forms of energy. But Biden doesn't see it that way. He recently reiterated his pledge to end coal production altogether. "No one is building new coal plants because they can't rely on it," Biden said on Nov. 4 while in California. "We're going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar."

At this point in time, it looks like Republicans are going to take control of the House of Representatives while Democrats will hold on to the Senate. It's time for us to talk about what happens next. It's time for those who actually got elected to prove to the American people that they're not just politicians, that they actually are there in Washington to take action to protect the interests and freedom of the American people. The fault lines for the 2024 elections are already taking shape with the two parties in diametrically opposed positions and there is no greater divide than over parental rights. That stark difference was no more evident than in a tweet from Rep. Eric Swalwell, who mocked the notion of parents making major decisions in the education of their children. The California Democrat insisted that it is akin to "putting patients in charge of their own surgeries? Clients in charge of their own trials?" Swalwell declared: "Please tell me what I’m missing here … This is so stupid." What Rep. Swalwell, a lawyer, is missing is called informed consent.

There’s something happening in New York. Tuesday’s mini red wave here only scratches the surface. New Yorkers are getting sick and tired of woke liberalism, and it’s showing in pockets of voters once considered the base of the Democratic Party. In short, there’s a crack in the traditional Democrat coalition, and Republicans have an enormous opportunity to expand that breach with time-tested arguments in the coming months and years. In the Hudson Valley, where I prevailed on Election Night over Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) chairman Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney — the first time in 42 years that a DCCC chairman lost re-election — voters once considered unreachable by Republicans

The outcome of the 2022 election was far different from what I expected – and what most pollsters and analysts expected. I thought Republicans would win dramatically bigger victories. When the exit polls had 75%, three-out-of-four, voters saying America was on the wrong track, I thought for sure there would be a repudiation of Democrats and a Republican tide. With the crisis in the cost of living (gasoline, diesel fuel, heating oil, food, rent, and so on), the rising murder and crime rates in our largest cities, a flood of more than 4 million people illegally crossing our southern border, and the growing anger over schools indoctrinating our children with radical

The election last week defied reality. For example, John Fetterman, the Democrat who won the U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania, promised more inflationary spending, more lenient treatment of felons amid a violent crime wave and more of the left’s radical, parent-dissing sexual agenda. Yet he won. Do you really believe that a majority of Pennsylvanians voted for a stroke-damaged, hard-core leftist who comes across as a professional wrestling villain? Celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz was not the strongest Republican candidate and was perceived by many as a RINO. But he should have prevailed in an election in which Democrats had to defend the Biden train wreck.

Faced with questions about his ability to lead after the midterm election debacle, a defiant Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell deflected blame from his own culpability in the Democrats retaining control of the upper chamber and instead blamed it on public dissatisfaction with MAGA candidates. After the midterms, the Republican Party and half of the conservative movement are now furious with Donald Trump. Their writs are many — even though the party establishment shares much of the blame. Even before the midterms, there was a latent feeling among half of Republicans that Trump, given his age, and the animus he incurs among the rich Left and touchy independents, might retire to the role of kingmaker, rather than try a third presidential election. Trump’s eruptions, coupled with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ stunning and singular midterm success, ensured that such prior latent conservative unease is now overt.
