Cardinal Gerhard Müller, the former head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, has called the Synod on Synodality a potential “hostile takeover of the Church of Jesus Christ.” Pope Francis announced last week that he is adding an extra year to the Synod on Synodality. Pope Francis has described it as a “journey” of discernment about the future of the Church that entails lengthy “dialogue” with the laity and dioceses across the world.

As a non- Catholic but as a person who loves and studies history it is fascinating to watch this dissolution of a once powerful religion.

In a word- Yes. The Catholic Church has increasingly sided with evil in all its Liberal, Modernist, Progressive beliefs - and we have witnessed a Pope leading the charge. Catholicism in my lifetime has lost its moral compass and when Francis dies I am afraid his hand-picked successor will be even worse. How long, O Lord?

Maybe this can help to explain as to why Catholic Churches are practically empty while protestant churches are almost full!!!

#3, the Catholic parishes that hold onto the authentic teachings of the Faith are full. Left leaning parishes are empty, partly owing to acceptance of abortion and contraception. No children, no future.
#1, as a Catholic and a person who studies history, it is horrible that the hierarchy have lost their moral compasses and spines. There is a "remnant" of Catholics, myself included, who see the Church's wickedness and know it will face God's wrath.
I can't wait to see it happen.

Keep hoping that God is going to raise His Hand up soon and say, "Enough".
Spoke to a young lady on 'phone yesterday about some confusion about a payment that is taking forever to be resolved, and I think my voice broke, and I said, "I know it will get resolved, because I know who is in charge." And the young lady answered, "God".
There are more of us than there are of them. We have to just wait a little longer, but it is coming.

The history of this church founded upon “the rock” Peter is a testament to the evil of man.

The Apostasy of the Church will start at the top. There will be Bishop against Bishop, Cardinal against Cardinal --from Our Lady's message to Sister Sasagawa at Akita, Japan. The approved message apparently refers to the third secret of Fatima that Pope John XXIII refused to make public in 1960. Take into consideration the Vision of Pope Leo XIII about the Lord giving Satan time (either 75 or 100 years) to attempt to destroy the Church. Something happened in the Vatican in the early sixties during the Second Vatican council. Taylor Marshall and exorcist Fr. Ripperger make reference to this in a recent video on YouTube. I believe we are in the midst of this time frame. Notice how things have snowballed out of control since 2017? That was the hundredth year anniversary of the apparitions at Fatima, Portugal. Catholic or not, please pray the St. Michael's prayer frequently and also meditate the mysteries of the Rosary. Rosary-center.org will explain why and how to pray it without distractions. Catholic or not, realize that the link between earth and the spiritual realm goes through the Vatican. Mater Ecclesia, Porto Caeli.

At my church we ignore it. The church is full for all the Masses and we pray for each other and the world.
The synod? I don't care, I ignore them.

The Church’s one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord. Man cannot destroy the Church that Jesus founded. Pope Francis is a globalist fraud. Remember the Polish chanting “we want God” to John Paul II? Stop with the fatalism.

I try not to take the musings of secular publications for my understanding of Catholic doctrines or developments. Nor to simplistic comparisons like that in #3. I've been in some parishes that are severely depleted, but a few others that are near capacity. I've also heard lamentations about shrinking congregations in other denominations. The declines are not unique, nor are they uniform.

We might wonder how anyone could believe some of the ungodly things being taught in the name of Christianity today, but, sadly, they do! Seems there is some new “church” with a new gospel always popping up on the scene, or some new deviation from the gospel in ones that have been around for years. 2 Timothy 2:17 says the “profane & idle babblings” spread like cancer. I read a poll indicating that close to 30% of young people who claim to be Christians also identify as LGBTQ, or support those who do. Also, a growing percentage of people who believe in heaven believe that you don’t have to live according to Scripture in order to get there. (George Barna poll, AZ Christian University) But, it’s still a poll, so…
Yet….
Each person is ultimately responsible to “search the Scriptures daily to find whether these things are so” (Acts 17:11), and “work out your own salvation”(Philippians 2:12) rather than to rely solely on what anyone may tell us the word of God says or means.
So, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness” (2 Timothy 2:15-16).
[Stands to reason that in most things of importance - truth matters.]
And…
Deuteronomy 4:2 “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.”
Revelation 22:18-19 “For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
Only One Gospel
Galatians 1:6 “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.
11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

The Catholic Church survived the Borgia and Medici popes, we will survive Francis. My church is packed multiple times on the weekends, and we would never leave Christ because of Judas.
