Who authorized the $1 million FBI payment

The testimony of FBI supervisory analyst Brian Auten in the trial of Igor Danchenko is shocking. CNN reports: Shortly before the 2016 election, the FBI offered retired British spy Christopher Steele “up to $1 million” to prove the explosive allegations in his dossier about Donald Trump, a senior FBI analyst testified Tuesday. (snip) nowhere have I seen reference to a question about the authorization for such an offer. (snip) One characteristic of federal agencies is that bureaucrats protect themselves from questions about misuse of funds by documenting everything involved in spending money.

Who authorized a million bribe offer to Steele? Why, you jest. No doubt it was a clerical error by a low-level FBI functionary. Director Wray has required that all FBI low-level functionaries undergo a comphrensive one-hour training on how to correctly handle paperwork on million dollar political bribes. Class is scheduled for Friday before a holiday weekend at 4 pm.

No surprise. Similarly, both Capone and Bugs Moran wanted Elliott Ness gone.

About Ness and "The Untouchables" film starring Costner.... In the Capone courtroom scene the jurors were supposedly bribed and switched out to another courtroom. Ness slyly admits to letting the judge think that Ness knows he was also bought out. Any historians here know if that's actually what the FBI did?

Were the fate of the free world not in the hands of this man, the setting of Joe Biden’s many dementia moments to a catchy tune would be hilarious. Actually, it still is hilarious despite the awful reality underlying it. This is a brilliant satire that is also self-evidently accurate. Whoever came up with the tune, the selection of clips, and the electronic means of making Biden’s voice follow the music did a wonderful job. It is so catchy that it is staying in my mind with the chorus, “My mind’s going blank now” repeating endlessly, a political ear worm of devastating impact. There is no effective response

t almost sounds like a scene from an Indiana Jones movie: a dusty warehouse. The smell of must permeating the air. The only sound the scurrying of the occasional rat. And entombed within it, thousands of boxes upon boxes, practically stamped “TOP SECRET.” But this is no flight of Hollywood fantasy. It is the reality of what remains of the Barack Obama presidency: Twenty truckloads of crates, kept in a space that formerly housed the inventory of Plunkett Furniture, containing roughly thirty million documents generated during the eight years of Obama’s time in the Oval Office.

On reading about the Saturday arrest of pro-life activist Mark Houck, I thought the author at this alternative site had to be exaggerating. It struck me as beyond belief that two dozen or so armed FBI agents would swarm the house of a Catholic father of seven, rifles drawn, and arrest him in front of his weeping children for anything short of murder. I have had to recalibrate my belief system. The “crime” fell quite a bit short of murder. For two years, a U.S. presidential administration has perpetrated a racial hoax. Teamed up with Black Lives Matter (BLM), an unscrupulous, failed, corrupt organization that promotes violence, Americans have been duped by the world’s largest racial hoax. In mid-2019, driven by Trump hatred, congressional hearings on Confronting White Supremacy laid the groundwork. Those hearings introduced a concept that Team Biden and the media would recite endlessly: White supremacists are extremist domestic terrorists and the biggest threat to the nation. Democrat congressman Jamie Raskin said that, in 2018, the FBI identified 39 such murders (less than 0.02% of deaths from drug overdoses).

The day before yesterday, amid all the United Nations festivities, Joe Biden was addressing the Global Fund's Seventh Replenishment Conference in New York. Biden had managed the challenging part of the exercise, reading off the teleprompter devoid of major gaffes. All he had to do was exit the stage into a safe zone away from prying eyes and camera lenses. Anyone with functioning cognitive abilities could achieve this with ease; alas that wasn't the case with Biden.

As incompetent as Joe Biden might otherwise be, he’s proven adept at following both. The decision follows comments President Biden made in September describing the pandemic as over.
