The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allied oil producing nations have backed plans to dramatically slash oil supplies in a bitter blow to President Joe Biden. At an OPEC Plus meeting in Vienna, the cartel's Joint Ministerial Monitoring Group recommended oil output is cut by 2 million barrels a day, or around two percent of the global oil supply. Ahead of the meeting, it was reported both Saudi Arabia and Russia were expected to push for reductions of 1 to 2 million barrels per day.
The U.S. lobbied extensively against the move, according to CNN, which could cause gas prices to rise ahead of November's midterm elections.

We are the target. Putin has realized that he can't win the war on the ground, must win the psychological war, and get us to stop supporting Ukraine. So, he fights the psychological war to try to get Ukraine all on it's own be making energy his biggest weapon, around the world.

It is their oil, their asset. The world has changed greatly since the days when the US went into these countries and helped develop their oil-producing capabilities. None of them respect us and they recognize our government as a den of thieves that will be happy to steal and abscound with their money at the slightest opportunity, or slap sanctions on them if they do not kiss the American hand. We are our own enemy and we have brought this onto ourselves.

If this was the October Surprise it's going to make a LOT of people very, very angry. And if the Republicans have a gram of brains they will pounce on this with both feet.

As the Wall Street Journal pointed out at the very end of a Monday front page news article, OPEC has undershot its year to date daily production targets by over 3 million barrels a day.
If this is a 2 million barrel a day cut from their stated target goals, this is a pure political theater.

Why “nightmare”? Cutting US oil production regardless of consequences was one of Biden’s first executive actions on his first day in office in 2021. Shouldn’t Biden, Harris and John “Insufferable” Kerry be sending “thank you” notes to OPEC for raising our costs for gasoline, diesel and all the other items that use oil because OPEC is saving the planet. How hypocritical can Democrats be?
Overlooked is that Biden is heavily arming Ukraine in order to defeat the Russian invaders, thereby allowing Zelensky to ignore calls for peace talks. Do we really want Vlad Putin and the Russians to be humiliated enough that they turn to nuclear weapons? Don’t underestimate Biden’s ability to much things up.

He isn't facing a nightmare, he is facing the realization of a goal. $10+ a gallon for gas on the way.
Mission accomplished.

Joe is keeping his promise to the people who believe in climate change. Of course they are upset about the economy and the cost of everything but somehow they can’t connect the fact that everything is connected to the price of gas. They don’t understand that the alternative energy is only a small percentage. We need gas to survive. Without gas we won’t be alive long enough to experience the horrors of global warming

Shouldn’t have poked the bear, Joe. This is a war the US and it’s allies cannot win. All of those countries we have bullied, maligned and abused are now lining up against us. It is in God’s hands.

It's a shame we don't have a place where we could store a large amount of oil we could release over time to counter the effects of an OPEC production cut. OH WAIT! WE DO!!! It's called the Strategic Reserve. Unfortunately, Biden has emptied it out!

Joe Biden was a dummy before dementia, now he's just a bigger dummy. You really have to wonder, as our country is being destroyed by Biden and his handlers, when will his delusional wife wake up and expose the real communists who are controlling her sick husband. How does any wife sit there and watch her husband being used as a communist puppet. What a book that would make.

Biden goes begging to OPEC and they tell him to FO.
Joe, your pals won’t like it but you could always tear up that EO shutting down the US oil industry.

If Russia was being led by a sane person, they would whole-heartedly back Biden and the wannabe communists who support him. If his actions result in a GOP takeover of Congress and another Trump term, he will most likely regret his pushing the production cuts that will immediately raise prices on crude oil, turn up the burner under inflation, and push average citizens away from the criminal enterprise that is the democrat party. Of course, if he uses Biden as an excuse to nuke us, then the price of oil in the US won't matter.
