White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre insisted Tuesday both that inflation was “essentially flat” and that it was OK for President Biden to host a large celebration of his Inflation Reduction Act — even though annual inflation remains elevated at 8.3%.
“Overall, prices have been essentially flat in our country these last two months. That is welcome news for American families with more work still to do,” Jean-Pierre said at her regular briefing, moments ahead of the large South Lawn bash.
Republicans, however, attacked Biden as “out of touch” for hosting a celebration for the environmental and healthcare spending bill

So, the glass isn't half full - and it's very rapidly draining - but let's celebrate the fact that it hasn't started to drain even faster (yet). I think we need to pass on that party because we can't afford the gas to get there. Gas cost just $2.39/gal when President Trump left office, today $ 3.71. After all the money lost to even high prices we are paying a fictitious 155% more today. Fictitious because it's being artificially driven down by the release of our strategic petroleum reserve, and we pay for that fuel as well, just on a tax line item.

Inflation is flat? Tell that to the stock markets and the over $5000 in value that my IRA lost today! Good thing I am not living off my retirement funds at this time. Apparently, while Biden parties, he expects grandma to eat dog food and not be able to afford her medications because her retirement funds are lost to inflation and wild market fluctuations.

It gas prices had remained flat for the month we'd be looking at an overall rate of over 10%. The drop in gas prices have masked inflationary prices in every other category.

This illegitimate, mendacious, venal 'residency needs to see its political power bulldozed essentially flat by voters in two months. Then salt the ground.
Stanley Baldwin, British Conservative Party Prime Minister three times between the wars, was the equivalent of a RINO. When Baldwin was under the weather a Party member approached Churchill and lamented what the Brits might do if they lost "our Stanley." Churchill, never a RINO equivalent, immediately responded, "Embalm, cremate, bury. Take no chances." Do the same with every Democrat policy. And especially blacken Josef Stolen some more. He merits the disrespect. He's a nobody. Always was a nobody. He needs to be reminded hourly in an ordure tornado of Brandon Brandon Brandon. Respect must be earned. He didn't.

And this is according to a demented old fool who can't even find his way back off a stage he just walked up on, and a halfwit press secretary, all the economists are wrong and they are right. God please deliver us from these foolish evil people.

Bought a frozen dinner at Sam's a couple of month's ago. It had double servings and was $10.98. Next time I bought it, $12.98. Bought it again last week, it was $13.38. Sounds like rampant inflation to me.

How is this insolent behavior any different than that of the French royalty in the 1780s? These clueless people need to realize that the guillotines are being built as they eat their cake and champagne.
