Following President Biden’s address from Philadelphia last week, Mark Meckler, president of Convention of States Action, has advice for Republicans. He wants party leadership and candidates to buckle down on messaging about issues Americans care about. “There are people who might disagree with me, but I don’t really want to hear about Mar-a-Lago and the raid,” Meckler declared. “That’s not going to help Republicans. If you make this an election for or against Donald Trump, we’re not going to do that well.” Meckler agrees the raid was horrible and intends to speak out about it. However, he feels it should not be the central issue

I detailed the victim Jeff German, an investigative reporter who was found deceased on Sunday. German had published an expose detailing hostile work environment complaints lodged by Telles’ employees and outing his affair with a staffer shortly before Nevada’s primary, in which Telles lost his re-election bid. German was working on another story about Telles at the time he was murdered. Telles has now been arrested on suspicion of murder, Sheriff Joe Lombardo told The Las Vegas Review-Journal.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams sent a delegation of officials on a fact-finding mission to the southern border on Tuesday. The mayor did not make the trip. There was no press coverage of the delegation’s visit other than by Fox News. The delegation refused to speak to the Fox reporter on the scene.

According to a new poll of 1,000 likely voters from Convention of States Action, in partnership with The Trafalgar Group, a majority of voters believe the White House designed Biden’s primetime speech to attack his political opponents. They also viewed it as dangerous and believe the president intended to create conflict between Americans.
Overall, 56.8% of American voters surveyed believe President Biden’s recent primetime address to the nation, in which he accused his political opponents of representing “an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” signifies a dangerous escalation in rhetoric and was designed to incite conflict among Americans.
As we previously reported, all hell has broken loose at CNN HQ as new head honcho Chris Licht appears to be making good on his promise and that of other higher ups to clear the house of the rabidly partisan actors that put the “sh” in “Democratic shill” at the struggling “news” outlet. The first one to get handed his walking papers was the network’s former media hall monitor and resident Biden comms staff cheerleader Brian Stelter, who it appears was given just one week to wrap things up, say goodbye to the tens of viewers he had each week for his Sunday “Reliable Sources” broadcast, and exit stage left.

The brainchild of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the “Commitment to America” will have four parts dealing with the economy, security, education/health care, and government accountability.
McCarthy’s office has indicated the Commitment to America will debut in Pittsburgh on September 19. It’s loosely based on the “Contract with American” concept created for the 1994 midterm election that was credited with helping the GOP take over both the House and Senate.
