Liz Cheney, the GOP's Joan of Arc?

Original Article

As the Wyoming primaries approach, The New York Times is already preparing the post-election spin boosting the post-congressional exploits of Rep. Liz Cheney. The Aug. 8 front-page headline was "Cheney Ready to Lose a Race, But Not a Fight." Times reporter Jonathan Martin laid it on thick: "She has used the Aug. 16 contest as a sort of a high-profile stage for her martyrdom — and a proving ground for her new crusade." Martyrdom? She's not being burned at the stake like Joan of Arc, even if that's the kind of moral high ground the liberal media coverage suggests.

It will soon dawn on her that she will lose her little perch and no longer be of any use to the liberal intelligentsia. And with Wyoming being nearly 70% Republican, it should have been an easy perch to keep. It was political suicide.

No, not that. More like Jeb Bush. Nobody misses Jeb who is as corrupt as can be, As FL governor he pressed for education testing, but when he got out he benefited financially from the testing companies paying him royalties. DeSantis got rid of the FSA tests because the corrupt teachers unions were just teaching the tests and also changing answers on students tests to preserve their jobs.

Oh, good grief…all children want to be the center of attention. Most of us outgrow that, but not Liz. I used to think she had an obsession about Trump but now think she’s never outgrown that childish need for attention. She really, really needs psychiatric help.

It was reported that Liz was practically dancing with glee over the Raid on Mar-a-Lago. She is hoping beyond belief that the Feds will find something, ANYTHING that will vindicate her zeal for Trump to be arrested. She's hoping that something illegal Trump did will be reported before her Primary so she can say "See I told you so! So vote for me!" Not gonna happen but she's on her knees right now praying to Lucifer for the planted evidence to be the indictment she's been hoping for.

Lizard will only be useful as long as she trashes Trump and the GOP base, and I'm not sure how long that will be. Liberals are only using her, and once she's out of Congress, she'll be of little use to them, except as a talking head - the token "conservative" sitting at the table. Liberals won't listen to her because she's "conservative" and the daughter of Darth Vader Cheney. Conservatives sure won't listen to her because she ditched her "conservative" principles in an Ahab-like quest to get Trump.

Lizzie isn't even worth the cost of the match to set her on fire ala Joan of Arc. I'm in Florida this week and the TV had the Dick Cheney ad (a paid commercial) for Lizzie. I'm thinking you could get all the local and cable media markets in Wyoming for about 50 bucks. A national cable ad has gotta be several thousand. Well, since all the establishment are financing Lizzie's swan song, I guess all the consultants and political grifters are getting their last trip to the trough.

Days after the unprecedented raid of Donald Trump’s Florida home, AG Merrick Garland finally decided to address the public on Thursday regarding the matter. Some naively hoped that he’d provide a legitimate justification for the raid, but as expected, that didn’t materialize, mostly because there was no justification. Instead, Garland danced about while revealing a few noteworthy things. One, we learned that he was the one that ordered the raid, which is not surprising given he’s a partisan who obviously holds a grudge against the former president. Two, the DOJ is asking the judge in the case to unseal the warrant, which may or may not tell us anything

FBI agents who raided Donald Trump's Florida resort on Monday were hunting for classified documents relating to nuclear weapons, sources said on Thursday evening. Details emerged soon after Attorney General Merrick Garland appeared before cameras to defend the search and reveal that he had approved the operation at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. Fall-out from the unprecedented search of a former president's residence has dominated the political world ever since Monday and the Justice Department is under increasing pressure to explain its decision. Garland said he could not reveal further details of what prompted the hunt, but sources told the Washington Post it was to do with nuclear weapons.

Attorney General Merrick Garland suggested Thursday that the Department of Justice (DOJ) sought “less intrusive” means of obtaining presidential documents before using a search warrant, and an FBI raid, on former President Donald Trump’s home. Garland’s remarks were the first public comments made by the DOJ since Monday’s raid, which shocked many observers. He confirmed that he had personally approved the search warrant — though he left open the question of the methods of the raid. Garland did, however, suggest that the DOJ saw the raid as a last resort: “[T]he department does not take such a decision lightly where possible. It is standard practice to seek less intrusive means

Nothing in her ad mentions priorities of Wyoming citizens such as deregulating the administrative state, fighting for federal land management reform, or securing the southern border.
