Fox News has been staying on top of the ratings. The conservative network dominated July ratings again. Consistently at the top, Fox News was the most-watched outlet on cable television, both in total day and in primetime, in July. “FNC just completed its 18th consecutive month as the most-watched basic cable network in total day, averaging 1.35 million total day viewers in July 2022, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. Fox also averaged 194,000 adults 25-54 in total day for July.

He’s getting funnier and funnier in his delivery of news of the Dim Disaster. I get tired of getting stressed about the news! I need a laugh! Even if it’s a rolling catastrophe coming my way.

Gutfeld's show is amusing in an unfunny time, and we need that. Yes, FNC--specifically, Bret Baier--drove me off after Election Night, and it took my best friend, a fan of Gutfeld, to get me back watching the network about six months later. Fox has some very good people on at various times (Maria Bartiromo, Tucker Carlson, Gutfeld, and some others) but I wish some of their more reliably conservative competition, much smaller networks, could challenge them. Everyone needs competition to be the best. And none of the mainstream media is trustworthy, except as surrogates for the DNC.

I like Greg. He's not afraid to knock the WOKE crowd. He calls a spade a spade and does it in a humorous way. He makes fun of himself as well as others. He is not PC. If you listen to Tyrus, you will hear a lot of wisdom and humor and reason. Kat is smart and funny. He's worth staying up to watch.

The beauty of the show is that he holds nothing back about anyone. Delivered his funniest one to date on Friday when he spun the phrase "sh*** and giggles" into the code names used by the Secret Service for joe and kamala. And Tom Shillue as biden is the funniest political impersonation ever.

Mrs. Lakerman and I watch Gutfeld, enjoy his show and guests as well as regulars, but we sometimes fall asleep at about half way through. But the most valuable demographic, 25-54, tend to stay up later. So us old people have to accept that fact. Colbert is so damned vicious, I don't know why anyone would watch him.

I won't watch when the Tyrus is on. He's a wet blanket, offering up rambling pronouncements, killing or interrupting conversation and is so obviously propped up by the writers. Of course Guffeld busts a gut and the applause sign is flashed at every Tyrus bit of "insight". It's insufferable pandering and insulting to the viewers. And then there are the stupid hats, the belt, the whole clown image, have you seen Tyrus wrestle?! If he's such a force, give him his own show and see what he really brings to the table. Almost as bad is the always insolent Kat, "I don't know...I don't care". The two are like the punchable smartarse kids at the back of the class. Why they are regulars is beyond me, some misplaced feeling of loyalty from Gutfeld's earlier Fox presence? Time to move on, Greg, shed this dead weight.

Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell declined to comment on the FBI raid of President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home during a press conference in Kentucky, following recent floods that hit the eastern part of his home state. "I'm here to talk about the flood and recovery from the flood," McConnell said when asked about the raid. Hours later, McConnell's office released the following statement: The country deserves a thorough and immediate explanation of what led to the events of Monday. Attorney General Garland and the Department of Justice should already have provided answers to the American people and must do so immediately.

From the time I was 7-years-old until I was about 20, I was in love with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In second grade, while other kids wanted to be firemen, I wanted to be a special agent (and I could have told you what one was, what they did, and what the requirements were to become one). In the early 1990s, my favorite show was “FBI: The Untold Stories,” and if we were not home from Cub Scouts in time for it to air, there was a tantrum on the way. I did a book report on a J. Edgar Hoover biography in middle school.

The FBI reportedly delivered subpoenas related to the controversy surrounding alternate electors in the 2020 election to several Republican lawmakers in Pennsylvania on Wednesday. The action comes after the FBI served a search warrant at the Mar-a-Lago residence of former President Donald Trump in Palm Beach, Florida, prompting his supporters to accuse the Bureau of being politically motivated. Various sources spoke to Pennlive about the FBI delivering subpoenas or speaking with Pennsylvania Republicans as a part of the investigation into the effort to send alternate electors to the U.S. Capitol to elect Trump rather than President Joe Biden.

The Senate has delayed a vote on its gay marriage bill, misnamed the “Respect for Marriage Act,” until after the August recess. It appeared that momentum was building to pass the bill. A significant number of Republicans, 47, had supported the House’s version of the bill, giving Senate Democrats confidence that they could round up 10 Senate Republicans to vote for their bill. But delaying the vote may give religious freedom advocates time to scuttle the legislation. Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, who was leaning toward voting for the bill, now questions it,

For all of the media’s hyperventilating about the GOP’s “culture war,” most Republicans show little to no interest in fighting it. In truth, the “culture war” is hopelessly one-sided, pitting tenacious Democrats against irresolute or decadent Republicans. Take Nancy Pelosi’s recent gay marriage bill. It passed in the House of Representatives not in spite of the GOP but in part because of it: 47 Republicans, including members of GOP leadership, joined the Democrats in supporting the bill. Imagine the cries of horror from the media and the Democratic base if 47 Democrats ever voted for a piece of GOP legislation on a crucial social issue. That’s inconceivable
