More than four in ten Americans have been forced to cut back on everyday habits and items, including the amount of groceries they purchase, as a result of Bidenflation, a recent Suffolk University/USA TODAY survey found. They survey asked respondents about the habits they have had to change due to the reality of rising prices in President Biden’s America.(Snip)Perhaps what is more, the cost of basic items, such as food, rose by more than 9.1 percent. Food, for instance, rose 10.4 percent in the last year, and food at home rose 12.2 percent. Energy costs have risen 41.6 percent in the last year, and gasoline, specifically, has risen

It is astonishing how many people voted for Biden after he made it perfectly clear that he was going to crash our energy systems! It was also clear that Biden was a pathological liar all his life and that his track record as a senator was dismal to say the least! And finally, it was very obvious that Biden was mentally impaired and not up to the job! All this overlooked because so many people had been indoctrinated with unfounded Trump hatred by the Marxist media! It was easier to believe the propaganda than the obvious facts in front of their faces! Now this country is going downhill fast and we are thisclose to a shooting war with China, Russia, Iran take your pick! Moreover, many people and their children are going hungry! To these feckless people I say this; you elect the politicians that you deserve! Unfortunately, you took the rest of us down with you!

I have cut back on groceries, no extras, no unnecessary driving, no vacation and anything else I can cut. I have always lived frugally and saved but have had to cut back more than ever before.

Where do they get 10%? The price increase I’m seeing — in cheese, pasta, soup, meat, everything — is way more than 10 cents on a dollar. If it’s not at least 30%, I’ll eat my hat.

I don't drive much. I didn't take a vacation. Food is WAY up and so are energy costs even though I keep the AC at 78. I don't know how much more I can cut back on.

The day old bread rack used to have everything 50-90% off. We noticed anymore it's only discounted about 25%. I guess too many people were buying from the discount rack.

I’m OK financially. However I have a son and family that have always lived on a tighter budget. They were fine until after the election. He can’t absorb the increase in food and gas. The gas in his area of AZ has more than doubled from just under $2/gal to $4.99/gal. Now I pay for his gas bills. His family needs to eat.
What happens to people who don’t have family that can help?

The only thing we have cut back on - the Klondike ice cream sandwiches, the originals. These are addicting, our mini-dachshund, Tonto, would agree. This is brutal. But as for Bourbon whiskey and scotch, same o, same o. And same o for the range ammunition we consume at the shooting center in Cameo.

It was very apparent when I went to the grocery store yesterday evening on the way home. There were the same long check outlines but instead of full carts as would be normal before a weekend everyone in line either had a cart that was a quarter full or less, had the hand carry baskets, or just hand carrying a few items.
It was eye opening to say the least.

#1 makes several good points. Think about the people who probably voted for Biden. Many elites who never suffer. However, many voters too ignorant or stupid to actually "connect at the dots". The majority of Americans have had it "too good", for too long. Those days appear to be coming to an end. The only question I have at this point is how long will it be before our "crime problem" becomes one of civil unrest. Daily violence or unrest due to uncontrollable inflation and food/fuel shortages. What will it take to truly wake up the morons? Is November even going to change the country's trajectory?

I once worked with a crusty guy who had to inform the workforce they were getting their pay cut. The Union President jumped up and screamed, "Do you know what this means?"
"Yes, I do", he replied. "Instead of whisky and cigars you'll enjoy beer and cigarettes."
Sorry, many of us have been eating store brands and generics for some time. Don't start with the paycheck-to-paycheck nonsense. Drive over to the church parking lot and pick up a boxful of nutritious food...for FREE! No one in this country starves involuntarily.

#12, I seriously don’t understand: what’s your point? That store brands are fine? Check. That having to live paycheck to paycheck is a good thing? No, it’s not really. That the “free” food from the church food pantry materializes out of thin air? Uh, all the food gets donated from someone, sometimes big donations from Goya or the local supermarkets, but most of it from parishioners who bring in a bag each week even though they are struggling now too.

I'm not forced to cut back but I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices of some items.I'll catch up on streak when Donald Trump is back in office.

I help manage our church's food pantry. In addition to the support we give our area, we are getting contacted for help from people who live an hour away from us. They tell us that due to high demand, their neighborhood food pantries are out of food, so they get on the phone looking for someone that can help. People who normally donate to food pantries and just trying to keep food on their own tables.

Americans are proud to cut back to help the war effort. The war on our wealth, freedom, and national sovereignty, that is. Meanwhile, the Ultra 1% are splurging on mega-yachts, more mansions, and other extravagant luxury goods, the more obscenely costly, the better.
