Biden to travel to Michigan Tuesday to
roadshow $52 billion semiconductor windfall

President Biden is expected to travel to Michigan on Tuesday to deliver remarks on Congress’ recent passage of its $280 billion technology spending bill aimed at boosting domestic semiconductor manufacturing and spurring scientific research in a key make-or-break legislative win for the administration. Mr. Biden plans to tout the positive impact that the $52 billion payout for semiconductor manufacturers included in the bill will have on economic and national security, the White House said on Saturday in a statement announcing the trip. The House gave final passage to the bill in a 243-187 vote on Thursday after the Senate passed the measure 64-33 earlier

Comments:

In June of this year, Paul Pelosi purchased up to $5 million worth of stock options in Nvidia. Not because he knew in advance that a massive government industrial welfare "stimulus" was in the works, or that the vote would be approved in both the House and the Senate, but merely because he is America's most savvy investor.

Who would stay home when there's a $5.2 million cut of the action to be had? And who would tell "the president" no? This is just how things are in a banana republic; we need to get used to it.

Did government politicians give $280 Billion dollars to those companies who sent their semiconductor businesses to China and other countries? If not, there should be no political monetary reward for creating new semiconductor businesses or old one's which left America voluntarily for higher profits and putting tens of thousands of Americans out of work. Businesses who voluntarily left America should be forced to return at their own expense or banned forever from selling to America directly or non-directly by shipping to businesses in other countries then selling to America under another name for their old businesses. Punishment should be 20 years in prison for all leadership of businesses who left out of greed and punished American workers causing mental stress and physical harm.

Oregon’s Portland Public Schools is defending its decision to teach kindergarteners that boys can have vulvas and girls can have penises in a PowerPoint presentation on transgenderism shared by conservatives on social media. The school district is using a grade-by-grade curriculum to teach children starting at age 5 about transgenderism, sexual orientation and the role of “white colonizers” in marginalizing LGBTQ+ people, according to presentation slides that conservative Manhattan Institute fellow Christopher Rufo posted on Twitter last week.(Snip)“We make certain that our curriculum is LGBTQ+ inclusive for students who identify as transgender, gender non-conforming, gender-queer, and queer to create a safe and inclusive environment

A 160-foot blade detached from a wind turbine Sunday in Gloucester, Massachusetts, prompting road closures around the structure in the Blackburn Industrial Park. Multiple outlets reported that there was no cause given for the blade being detached, nor was there any damage to property outside of the blade itself, which appeared to snap into two pieces. Applied Materials, the owner and operator of the 492-foot turbine, said it couldn’t find any structural concerns with the turbine or its two remaining blades. A spokesperson for the company told National Wind Watch, a nonprofit that promotes the benefits of wind power, that a “root-cause analysis is underway

Ethics experts are questioning whether the head of congressional Democrats’ campaign arm, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, used his House and campaign cash for “personal services” with the hiring of an aide—who told The Post his role was to serve as the lawmaker’s “body man.” Maloney (D-NY) — who in 2020 became chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee—hired lifelong Floridian Harold Leath, for whom Maloney’s campaign forked over the money for the move north, in 2014, records show. The “unusual” and “strange” description of Leath’s role and his whereabouts raised numerous “red flags,” that may be worth a probe, political spending experts and federal ethics watchdogs told The Post.

The retired suburban police chief had seen reports of violence in downtown Minneapolis, and he feared the city's dwindling police staffing levels are exacerbating lawlessness. Andrew Cuomo and current Gov. Kathy Hochul, records reviewed by The Post reveal. Critics say the donations are a textbook case of Albany’s pay-to-play culture that allows bidders and contractors to give massive campaign contributions to the governor whose agencies oversee them. By comparison, New York City law limits donations from bidders and contractors to the mayor and have business Big Apple agencies to $400. The Biden administration’s attempt to track down catch-and-release illegal immigrants and serve them with court summonses turned into a “complete waste of time,” according to officers who say they were pulled off higher priority cases to chase down “ghosts.” Out of a universe of more than 30,000 potential targets, officers were able to locate and serve only about 600, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement sources. That means tens of thousands of illegal border crossers remain at large in the country without an official Notice to Appear for their immigration proceedings—and there are no good prospects for tracking them down.
