DailyMail.com spoke with householders across the country to find out how they were managing with inflation at 9.1 percent — and the rising cost of cereals, meat, transport and gasoline prices even higher still.

2023? As in next year? That'll only happen IF Biden, Kamala, Pelosi, etc., all succumb to some unexpected -- yet hoped for - catastrophe. 2023? That is wishful thinking I'm afraid.

A couple days ago I went to McDonald’s and drove through for a fillet of fish sandwich and a medium fries. $9.14. Last night went to Taco Bell for a burrito Supreme and two regular tacos and a chips and nacho sauce. $10.09. I can’t afford this any more.

But it's Putin's fault, don't you know? Or maybe it was Trump. Yeah, that's the ticket, it was Trump that done it. And the rest of those rotten Republicans. They're blocking all the anti-inflationary actions Joe wants to take, like raising taxes, spending a couple trillions of dollars more (don't forget the 10% cut for the "big guy"), forgiving all student debt, providing free medical care to everybody, citizen or no. I could go on, but really, is it necessary?

This past March I was able to buy a 1500 pak count of Sweet and Low for $ 13, $14 or $15 a box. It is now $ 23 per box.

My DH and I used to eat out for breakfast or lunch a few times a week. No more. Bought Ramen noodles a couple of weeks ago to put aside when things get really bad. Never thought I would have to worry about that.

A group of pilot friends and their wives started going to dinner once a week in the early 1980s.
Two of the husbands have died, and Wuhan flu scared two wives so that they stayed home for two years.
One husband and wife both retired and I think they can no longer afford to pay for restaurant dinners four times a month.
Lots of cutbacks for many retirees.

Re $7, Well.....the Dow was about 16,000 a couple of weeks before Trump was elected. Today it is a bit over 31,000.
So, even with the Demonrat "haircut", people who have sensible investments should be roughy twice as much in investment as just before Trump was elected, even after the DemDamage.
That said, I'm sitting on a paper loss of about $750K for the last two years under the evil Dems.

Prices are coming down? When is the last time FJB had to pay for anything out of his own pocket? He sounds like George Bush when he went to the grocery and saw a clerk scan items instead of punching in the numbers. Totally living in an alternative universe. Gas has gone down because of lower sales. People are not able to purchase gas and food in the same week. We have massive inflation because of all the play money the dems dumped into the system. And they want to print more! I am so tired of stupid.

It didn't have to be this way. Americans had a choice between electing a President who believed they deserved to come first in their own country, and a senile half-wit who, on his first day in office, invited illegal aliens to come to the US. Unlike President Trump, Biden just doesn't care about the American people or what they want.
Donald Trump gave Americans what they wanted, and what they needed in order to be prosperous and secure. We wanted secure borders, and that's what we got. We wanted our borders cleaned up, and an end to mass illegal immigration. Donald Trump put a stop to Democrat politicians burdening American taxpayers with imported poverty. We wanted energy independence, and we got that, along with gasoline under $3.00 per gallon. Americans wanted decent jobs to support their families, without being undercut by imported workers at the behest of corporate billionaires.
Under Biden's "watch" Americans are poorer, hungrier, and struggling to buy gasoline so they can get to work. Inexplicably, Biden arranged to send 5 billion gallons of domestic oil reserves to Europe and China. Democrats wanted an end to "America First" and they got it. They should all be ashamed of what they've done to middle America.

I lived through the 70s when inflation like this went on for years. People have not yet learned that the way to deal with inflation is to spend now, even borrow or charge it because tomorrow it will be more. Cutting back is the wrong decision.

My husband and I go to Wendy's for their $5 Biggy Bag. It has several choices, double cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, and what I love: bacon cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato, plus a medium French fries, four chicken nuggets and a medium drink. You can't go wrong.

Restaurants are struggling with higher costs and a work force that is substandard, does not want to work and their customer service shows it. Some of them have increased prices by 25% or more to attempt to make up for lost sales during lockdowns and I now avoid those. Fast food is all but nonexistent in our budget so we have developed a new appreciation for home cooking. A McDonalds hamburger was not worth the price at $3 so I refuse to pay 7$ for it now. I also review the list of those who contributed millions of dollars to BLM and will not patronize those ever again.

Every bit of this catastrophic economy, fuel, food, housing, everything is on Biden and no one else. He was installed by his handlers and they want to crash the country into hell. The house and senate must not remain in democRATic hands. Trump 2024

As someone said the other day, the younger generation now has their Jimmy Carter. We all know it was Ronald Reagan who got us out of the mess. Think before voting, you people who don’t pay attention to politics.

I am on a severe austerity program: no restaurants, only staples at the grocery store, I don't buy anything I don't absolutely need to live, very little driving, A/C way up, etc etc. I have the money to pay for all that stuff, but I refuse to -- I am on strike.

Meanwhile, there are billions of taxpayer funds for school summer camps. Camps that employ district folks so they can make some extra cash. . .
