A “systemic catastrophe” is senior researcher Dr. Stephanie Seneff’s verdict on glyphosate, the active ingredient in the herbicide Roundup, warning that the chemical is a slow kill for humans and other lifeforms.
Seneff, a senior researcher from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has been studying this toxic chemical for around 10 years. She believes that the pervasive use of glyphosate in the United States and around the world in agriculture is the reason behind the dramatic increase in autism, diabetes, cancer, allergies, as well as many other chronic conditions.
Glyphosate was first used in Roundup, a herbicide developed by Monsanto in 1974.

Ever since they got DDT banned they have been trying to dig at every useful chemical. Gotta cut back on that production ya know.

Have you ever watched any childrens shows? The quick camera cuts, the switching from dark to bright…I find it hard to believe that doesn’t have a detrimental effect on a developing mind. The strobe effect is very disorienting, even to adults.

It’s a tough go to garden organically and hand pull weeds but I think it important.

Kinda of makes you wonder if this could be one of the reasons there are so many young people beginning to 'identify' as homosexual and/or transgendered. Maybe brain damage from chemicals because there has to be something that is causing it.

I did know that autism is often associated with gut issues, particularly leaky gut and in many cases the inflamed intestines are teaming with the measles virus.
That said, I am more inclined to correlate the increase in diseases to the GE modified foods. Not sure why other than we existed for so long with NO GE modified food sources and it only stands to reason that these foods are not something encountered in nature, yet we eat them now daily. Even modern WHEAT bears little in resemblance to the wheat of 100 years ago. It has been both hybridized and genetically modified for hardiness, but at what expense? I have read that modern wheat has proteins that are pretty much foreign in the natural world.

This is crap. You can also correlate increase in government spending to the use of glyphosate.

There's oodles of money to be made by nailing glyphosate in court, and the ambulance-chasers are salivating.

Here we go again. Another version of 1962 Silent Spring. Rachel Carson’s hit piece on DDT. An environmental Wacco fantasy. Only Carson’s fiction is the root cause of millions of deaths in Africa and other jungle states due to malaria carrying mosquitoes. Now they’re spraying DDT again, sanctioned by the UN!

For all the words, little usable info on how much limitation of exposure is called for.
Occasional exposure zapping weeds ok and insignificant compared to other ways glyphosate gets into you?

I have been using Roundup, or a generic since it came out. I buy it by the shuttle. No side effects here.

After WWII, U.S. military vehicles regularly drove around the Japanese community spraying DDT. And the kids in the neighborhood would come out to chase the DDT smoke for fun. Today, the Japanese are living longer than the average senior citizen in the world. What happened? DDT worked!

Back in the late 40s the DDT spray trucks routinely made passes through our neighborhood putting out a really dense cloud of white pesticide to knock down the mosquitos. We all ran around behind the truck enveloped in that cloud. Last time I checked we were all still alive.

When it's banned, like so many other useful and effective products, I'll have to use old motor oil to kill weeds around the house.

10: You can bet on it. The personal injury profession deals in legal extortion and causes the cost of everything we buy to go up. Go to your local hardware and look at all the warning stickers on a common ladder. A very large amount of the cost of that ladder is what they pay for liability insurance to protect them from the personal injury vultures. There is not a lower life form on this planet.

What I 've read is that there is no path for glyphosate to enter the body's systems, that it simply passes through without being metabolized.

Excellent point, #3.
Modern children's shows are extremely irritating to me due to super short cuts. A well known friend does video work, in addition to writing, and has an Emmy for a TV show. He tells me that modern video editors insist on the very rapid cuts for kids shows, "to keep their attention".
I think it destroys their attention span, probably permanently.
