With the November elections now just over four months away, it feels like this has become a critical, make-or-break moment for the Biden administration as it continues to be plagued with multiple crises, bad economic news and one adverse court ruling after another. Can the Biden team regroup and keep his presidency and party from going off a political cliff this fall, or are they destined to suffer a major defeat at the hands of a frustrated electorate? That’s the big question swirling around Washington these days, but what happens in November will be determined by the answers to more than whether this becomes Joe Biden’s personal “summer of recovery.”

Over 100 Georgia sheriffs have joined arms and revolted against far-left Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, attacking her for her support of “defund the police” and condemning her for soft on crime policies that they described as harming Georgia families.
They did so in a recently released statement, in which they began by supporting current Georgia governor and GOP gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp, saying that he has stood on the side of law enforcement and worked to lock up criminals and keep Georgia families safe from the predations of those criminals. An alleged intruder is in critical condition after being shot by a 93-year-old Moreno Valley, California, homeowner early Wednesday morning.

Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy is suffering a broken hip as a result of a fall at his McLean, Virginia, house on Wednesday night. In a statement, the 82-year-old Democrat's office said that he would undergo surgery to repair the hip on Thursday morning. "Having been born blind in one eye, the senator has had a lifelong struggle with reduced depth perception. He has taken some remarkable dingers over the years but this one finally caught up with him," Leahy's office said.
