President Joe Biden signed a gun control bill into law Saturday that gives financial grants to states for “red-flag” laws and increases background check stipulations for 18 to 21-year-olds, following Republican support.
The bill, dubbed the “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act,” passed after making it through Congress earlier this week with 15 Republicans in the Senate supporting the bill and 14 House Republicans voting in favor.
According to the White House, the law “enhances certain restrictions and penalties on firearms purchases; promotes evidence-based best practices for school safety; authorizes grants to expand access to mental health services; and

Just another step for the gun banners.
Make the republicans pay for their support. Get rid of them as soon as possible.

Expansive my foot. This bill is supposed to make Biden look tough but it restricts nothing and helps nobody. The Republicans sold their souls for nothing and are now marked for cancellation. Come for our guns Joe if you are so tough. Let's settle this.

And it will be challenged and dismissed on constitutional grounds.

This was a right back at ya move after losing Roe v Wade. All because 15 RINOs showed their true allegiance to the globalist communist uniparty of which they are charter members. In January 2023 with a majority of house, senate, or both, these 15 need to be shunned from every session, conference or committee. Told to sit down and color in their offices until they retire or get voted out of office!

The states can simply ignore it just like the military plans to ignore the abortion rules of certain states. Lawlessness for US all.

And this law will do absolutely nothing to prevent the mass shootings happening every week in democratic run cities like Chicago, NYC and others. All shootings and murders committed with illegal handguns used by the same thugs and gangbangers that democrats release from jail every day. Absolutely appalling.

Well, if I’m hearing all the abortion rhetoric correctly, we can just ignore this legislation, right?

that display of "Republican" support was not as it was explained - the "republicans" who supported the bill, in the house and senate do not represent the generic attitude and feelings of the citizens of this country, probably, vote Republican because they don't want to vote for the demcommie or some greenie of some other offshoot of the demcommie club - it was the usual suspects involved and could have been predicted and probably was predicted that they would vote the way they did - the did not do the "Republican" party, if you want to call it that, any favor by voting as they did on this bill and they have no idea how much and how big the retribution will be, by the people, in their coming re-elections, I hope so, anyway

They just stepped into a big huge pile of DEM DOO DOO with this one. When someone has their guns taken over a fictitious "red-flag" abuse (especially common with our Veterans), and they challenge it in the Courts, it will make its way to the Supreme Court and this entire "red-flag circumvention" of our Constitutional Right to Due Process will come under legitimate legal analysis.
I suspect Dems will rue the day they passed this law, as the SC will likely strike down ALL "red flag" processes currently in use, exposing them for what they really are, government tyranny and Illegal confiscation of firearms.

Most of the changes are pretty vague. If states don't take up their 'red flag' recommendation, the effects seem to be pretty minimal.
I despise ANY restrictions on gun rights, but this whole "expansive" stuff seems to be the Dems busy patting themselves on the back for having birthed a fly spec, and calling it a behemoth.

I don't know about the rest of the RINO's, but Cassidy of Louisiana only ran as a republican because he knew he'd never get elected in this state as Democrat. But he's still a democrat and in 4 years, hopefully, an ex senator!
