Democratic Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman is leading Republican Mehmet Oz by 6 points in their race for the state’s open Senate seat, according to a new AARP poll. The survey’s results show Fetterman with 50 percent support among likely voters to the celebrity physician’s 44 percent. Fetterman also has a slightly smaller lead among likely voters aged 50 and older, 49 percent to 46 percent. The lieutenant governor, who suffered a stroke last month, has a significantly higher net favorability rating. He is viewed favorably by 46 percent of voters and unfavorably by 36 percent for a net 10 percent rating. Oz is viewed favorably by 30 percent

Nobody knows Fetterman yet; he has not been exposed as the radical left-wing totalitarian that he is. His stint in state government as the lieutenant governor has done little to make him a "household name" in the Commonwealth. His health is also precarious, at best (A-fib, a stroke, medication and surgery required), and his hulking, Shrek-like appearance will do nothing to make him popular. Oz, on the other hand, is a brand name already, with all that means in terms of both positive and negative views of his candidacy. The gap will shrink by November.

I'm frankly surprised the races are this close, given the unrelenting Democrat press in PA. Last week, the Harrisburg nonPatriot News reported that some Carlisle residents took exception to the library's "Storytime with a Drag Queen" children's program. The story then seamlessly went on to report on the proliferation of hate crimes during Pride month. Just another down the middle report from the Central Pennsylvania press.

Oz is a disaster. With McConnell and the boys that stand behind him, Graham, Cornyn, Mulkowski, Collins, Romney, Toomey, Cassidy, Sasse, Ernst, and there is more, a Republican victory is going to give the people exactly nothing. Trump is not their real target. We in the middle class are the target. Everything happening is intentional.

#12, Fetterman has been candid about his health. He has heart problems, which he ignored for several years. And his atrial fibrillation caused a stroke. He then had a pacemaker and defibrillator installed, and is recuperating at home. His strength has been his ability to do retail politics, so this two month health-imposed hiatus will hurt him, even though his campaign has been flooded with outside money. If you choose to be cynical about Oz, I understand. But if the cynicism causes Fetterman to be elected, you will be sorry. I will take Oz at his word that he has had an epiphany, just as Ronald Reagan did.

If Paramount is trying to seek amends for its awful Halo live-action series, then this is one way to do it. A common trend not too long ago was streaming services removing episodes from shows that contained content that wasn’t considered too taboo at the time but is considered controversial today. A few years ago, Netflix  infamously removed an episode from “The Office” and “Community” for black-face jokes. Naturally, because one corporation did it, the woke culture censorship brigades will feel emboldened to come after other companies, but Paramount isn’t playing along. According to Bounding Into Comics, Paramount CEO Bob Bakish is telling the easily offended that he won’t be deleting anything

Mr. Zamorano, 45, faces a charge of smuggling resulting in death, which carries a possible death sentence. Mr. Martinez, 28, was charged with conspiracy to smuggle aliens resulting in death, which prosecutors said also carries a potential death sentence.

Ben & Jerry’s will continue to be sold in Israel and the West Bank, after the Israeli franchise came to an agreement with the ice cream maker’s parent company Unilever following a year of legal battling over a settlement boycott, the two sides announced on Wednesday. Israel and its supporters hailed the decision as a major victory against the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. Unilever has sold its Ben & Jerry’s business interests in Israel to Avi Zinger, the Israeli manufacturer and distributor of the brand, who will now be independent. Zinger and his company, American Quality Products (AQP), has also acquired the exclusive rights to the Ben & Jerry’s

NATO formally invited Sweden and Finland to join the alliance Wednesday at a summit in Madrid, Spain, in the midst of security concerns due to the Russia-Ukraine war. The announcement comes after Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan lifted his veto after a weeks-long stalemate over the negotiations. The decision will now rely on final ratification from all 30 member states. “The accession of Finland and Sweden will make them safer, NATO stronger, and the Euro-Atlantic area more secure. The security of Finland and Sweden is of direct importance to the Alliance, including during the accession process,” NATO said in a statement.

Washington - The Supreme Court on Wednesday backed Oklahoma's years long struggle for jurisdiction over certain crimes that take place on Native American land, a decision with implications for prosecutions of other crimes on Native territory. The 5-4 decision comes two years after the nation's highest court handed down a ruling that vastly expanded what is considered Native territory in Oklahoma. Though Oklahoma officials had asked the Supreme Court to overturn that recent ruling, the high court declined to consider that request when it agreed to hear the case in January. The DeSantis campaign this week debunked fake news touted by the establishment media, describing the attempt as yet another “embarrassing effort to distract from Democrat failures.” The corporate media is continuing in its consistent efforts to drive a false wedge between Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R). Both DeSantis and Trump have already thoroughly debunked establishment media rumors of infighting and tension. The latest attempt involves an anonymous source quoted by Politico. The individual, described as a “Republican consultant familiar with DeSantis’ thinking,” told the outlet that DeSantis views the January 6 hearings — which less than ten percent of Americans are following “very closely” — as “a way to eventually get Trump indicted,”

Now, I’m calling them “hearings” because that’s the general term being used. But they’re not really “hearings” as we normally understand a government hearing.
