MSNBC anchor Katy Tur has opened up about her reaction when her legendary broadcaster father came out as transgender to her almost a decade ago. Speaking to CBS about her new memoir Rough Draft, Katy reminisced about her childhood flying over Los Angeles with her helicopter reporter parents, the former power couple of broadcasters Marika Gerrard and Zoey Tur - formerly Bob Tur. The 38-year-old recounted the 2013 call with her estranged father, who has never met her two children with 'CBS This Morning' co-host Tony Dokoupil. 'My dad said, ''I am a woman.' Republican Texas Rep. Troy Nehls introduced legislation Monday that would direct the Secretary of Transportation to rescind the two no-fly zones over Disneyland and Disney World.

Former Hood College Professor Simone Kolysh posted a rant on TikTok after a leaked Supreme Court draft indicated that a majority of the high court intends to overrule Roe v. Wade. We hear plenty of reasons for the perfect storm that imploded California. One-party, progressive government, of course. Decades of unchecked illegal immigration, without doubt. Years of mass flight out of state of the productive middle classes, certainly.

Michael Avenatti, the former lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels, has reportedly decided to plead guilty in the remaining criminal cases against him.
Avenatti is charged with 36 counts of fraud, embezzlement, perjury, failure to pay taxes, and other financial-related crimes. In a filing before a federal judge in Southern California on Sunday, Avenatti said he wanted to change his plea (to) guilty, setting in motion the end of his criminal litigation.
Google's parent company Alphabet will pay $118 million to 15,500 current and former female employees in order to settle a class action lawsuit that has been in the works for five years.
The plaintiffs in the case account for a broad range of roles within the company, including managers, engineers, sales representatives and at least one pre school teacher.

The Washington state Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that a person’s race, and law enforcement’s long history of discrimination against people of color, should be taken into account when determining the legality of police seizures.
The court also clarified state law to say police have seized a person if an objective observer would conclude that the person was not free to leave or refuse a request.
