UBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — The United Arab Emirates on Monday banned the upcoming Pixar animated feature “Lightyear” from showing in movie theaters after its inclusion of a kiss between two lesbian characters. The decision by the UAE comes as Malaysia also reportedly will ban the film, raising the possibility other Muslim-majority nations could follow suit on one of Disney’s biggest animated films of the year as the film industry comes out of the depths of the coronavirus pandemic.

Another bomb from Disney the ode to the CCP 'Mulan' cost them 100s of millions in red ink. Lightyear, although not as expensive will also be a dud with movie goers.

The left was the first to make apologies and decry “islamaphobia” after 9-11. They consider them “people of color” and thus a protected group plus they hate America, another bonus. Why Disney would stick something woke and unnecessary in a movie that offends so many millions of people is beyond stupid. Apparently, their need to virtue signal outweighs rational thought.

Banned in my house, too. I had seen the previews when waiting for Top Gun to start, thought that I might consider it, then saw it was Disney and was very much put off. Then I heard about this lesbian crap, and that made my certain to not ever see it. I hope Disney goes out of business.

What is going on here? The number of people who would go to the movie because of the kiss is a tiny fraction of the number of people who won't watch it because of the kiss. This is not a decision made in the best financial interest of the company. Disney stock's continuing crash shows this. How are these people keeping their jobs? Why aren't stockholders demanding a change of leadership?

The group working to recall Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon said it has collected the necessary number of signatures required to put the matter before voters. The Recall George Gascon campaign told Fox News it received over 30,000 petitions over the past few days in an effort to gather the 567,857 needed by July 6. The group said it hit the target Wednesday but is working toward collecting 650,000 signatures as some will likely be deemed invalid by the Los Angeles County officials. "Simply clearing the required threshold is not enough – we must build the necessary cushion for signatures that are inevitably invalidated," a campaign statement said.

As the leader of a pro-life organization that honors the legacy of Susan B. Anthony and the pioneers of women's rights, I am often asked how we know those remarkable women were pro-life. The long-term driver of inflation, and the reason we have so much inflation, is the fact that we printed six and a half trillion dollars in 48 months and grew the money supply by 40%. That is simply what's driving all of this, and all of the other things are just sort of add-ons to the supply chain. Is Russia's invasion of Ukraine driving some of it? Yes. Is that the main driver? No. The longer-term structural issue is the fact that we grew the money supply by six and a half trillion dollars. That's what's driving inflation at the end of the day.
