Democrats were promising that the prime-time TV extravaganza presented by the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2020 riot at the Capitol last Thursday would be “must-see TV.” Apparently, most Americans decided it was “must miss.” The Nielsen ratings for that night are out, and it appears that the audience for the event was smaller than for a Young Sheldon rerun episode that CBS ran in the same time period the previous week. The audience for the “Capitol Assault Hearings” was about the same size as nightly news broadcasts last week, according to the ratings. Nearly every major news network and the Big Three of CBS, NBC, and ABC covered the hearings.

On Friday, the Florida Board of Medicine and the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine Joint Rules/Legislative Committee passed a resolution prohibiting puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgery for minors.
The rule only applies to children under the age of 18, and kids already being subjected to puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones as part of an IRB-approved clinical trial at a university-affiliated center will be allowed to continue treatment.

The most recent case in point came in July, when a 22-year-old hero neutralized a would-be mass killer in an Indianapolis-area mall in just 15 seconds, as the shooter emerged from a bathroom and opened fire, killing three people.

A Twitter user going by the name HoneyBadgerMom saw an ad for a child drag show at a local bar called Old Nick’s Pub near her home in Oregon and got concerned. She started researching the child who goes by the drag name “Vanellope Craving MacPherson DuPont.” HoneyBadgerMom, whose name is Chelly, started researching the drag shows that advertised Vanellope as a performer and found many troubling things, including the fact that one of the child’s “drag moms” was arrested for allegedly making and distributing child pornography.
Chelly started tweeting her findings about the possible child endangerment going on in Nick’s Pub.

President Joe Biden on Saturday again tried to blame Republicans for the attack on Paul Pelosi on Friday.
“You can’t condemn the violence unless you condemn those people who continue to argue the election was not real, that it’s being stolen, that all the malarkey that’s being put out there to undermine democracy,” he said.
The president spoke to reporters about the attack at a polling center in Delaware, where he voted early with his granddaughter Natalie Biden. “The talk has to stop. CBS’s Sunday Morning started off with their anchor Jane Pauley fearmongering that if Republicans win in the 2022 midterm elections, “democracy” could end in the United States. Plugging an upcoming segment by correspondent Robert Costa, Pauley fretted that “the very future of our democracy” is on the ballot in 2022.
“This past summer, it was looking like the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v Wade might offer an opportunity to the party in power, the Democrats. But a more recent issue, inflation, could very well rule the day. And favor Republicans,” Pauley bemoaned.

Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) said Monday on “CBS Evening News” that Fox News host Jesse Watters has been “mocking” Paul Pelosi, the husband of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), for months which aided and abetted the home invasion hammer attack on him.
