Russian lawmaker boasts that just two

A Russian lawmaker went on state TV to say President Vladimir Putin could destroy “the entire East Coast of the U.S.” with only a pair of their Sarmat missiles, known as the Satan 2. Russian politician Alexie Zhuravlev then said it would only take two of their Satan 2 missiles to destroy the West Coast, according to a report from the British newspaper The Sun. “Four missiles and there’ll be nothing left,” he said. “They think the mushroom cloud will be taller than a high rise. That mushroom cloud will be visible from Mexico.” According to the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Sarmat missile is about 115 feet

Comments:

We need to keep provoking Russia, a country that we had peaceful relations with under the Bad Orange Man. Thanks, Democrat voters.

Dear Leader probably has no idea that DC and Delaware are on the East Coast and his crackhead porn-making artist/international businessman son is basking on the West Coast, reportedly in a mansion that rents for $20K a month, next door to a mansion that the Secret Service (meaning, the US taxpayers) rents for $30K a month for the sole purpose of guarding him (and maybe procuring art supplies and drugs and hookers), seeing how he is worthy of protection from malign forces.

#2 and #5, you are apparently forgetting that we have a senile doddering impotent weak old man as our commander-in-chief -- who is incapable of doing anything!!!!! And his communist handlers certainly wouldn't do anything to retaliate against the mother land!!! If Donald Trump were still president, not only would Russia ever be stupid enough to make such a threat, they would know that if they launched those missiles, not a single Russian would be alive to celebrate. This is exactly why the USA is the laughing stock of the world right now!!!!!

1) Biden isn't aware of to understand this threat 2) each missile can carry 10-15 war heads so 20-30 could certainly wipe out either coast 3) I'm sure they aware we'd counter strike and the world would end So, the question is, why would they say these things? What is the goal or point here? They can't possibly believe we'd stop helping Ukraine over this. Do they not care about ending the world? Maybe they don't realize Joe really is out to lunch and he's not coming back. I don't get it.

A single Ohio class submarine can take out all of Russia and still have plenty of fire power left. Each sub carries 24 D5 missiles, each one containing 8 100 kiloton warheads. That is 192 separate warheads that each Ohio can unleash. They can be dropped with an accuracy of just a few feet. We currently have 14 Ohio class submarines outfitted with the D5. There are always several lurking in the waters around that part of the world at all times.

Another “so-what” proclamation by a politician who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Nothing has changed: since the seventies the Russians have had the SS-18 ICBM that carried 10 MIRV warheads ( in the 80s, the US deployed the Peacekeeper ICBM withe 10:warheads and the accuracy to “kill” blast-hardened Soviet missile silos). It doesn’t take much accuracy to nuke a city, so this is a meaningless comment. Other than having the purported capability to carry hypersonic glide vehicles and some unspecified anti-ABM measures, the “Satan 2” is just a modernized version of the aging SS-18.
