Saturday, school board elections were held for four suburban Fort Worth, Texas, school districts. Candidates backed by a conservative parents’ organization won all 10 seats they contested and unseated at least three incumbents.
Usually, school board elections are low-key affairs that draw scant interest. But ever since COVID, Critical Race Theory (CRT), and mainstreaming of sexual grooming in our classrooms brought the stupidity and cruelty of many school board members to public view, they have become a battleground. Once sane people saw the horror show and bullsh** that was the Loudoun County, Virginia, school board, they started paying attention

Now start firing the teachers of this propaganda and racist hate, en masse.

Excellent news! I hope this movement spreads like a wildfire across the country. Democrats have underestimated the will of the American people. We are not like them! Bravo Texas!

Take back the school boards, the media, and the government.

The difference between liberals and conservatives is that every single liberal is a street fighter who is always ready to fight dirty, and that conservatives just want to debate by the rules, so they just won't get into the actual fight and are always looking for the one conservative in 1,000 who is actually icky enough to fight for them and their awesome principles. Well like the guy who wrote mean tweets.
Good thing Texas still has a few icky people.

I wonder if a School Board has the power to dismiss a superintendent, a principle, or individual teachers? Otherwise, they are window-dressing.

Reply 7,
A school board generally hires the superintendent and principals, but not teachers

#7 -- Yes, they absolutely do. Typically, they use their power to dismiss superintendents and/or other high level administrators, but they can certainly fire anyone for behavior that doesn't adhere to district policies. Of course, they must have cause, but yes, they do have that power.

Thanks to these parents who have set a great example of what can be accomplished by getting involved.

Well .... it's a start! How do you peel a thousand pounds of potatoes? One potato at a time.
Being on a school board is more work than most are willing to do as it can eat up your spare time, is usually thankless and often boring. Bless those willing to do the heavy lifting but your child's life is at risk and it is worth it!

This is a good start, but there are more than a few teachers/educators who bought into CRT and other extreme political and social agendas. The teachers/educators that continue to indoctrinate or groom their students in this propaganda, in spite of prohibitions, still need to be weeded out.

Yes #3. Just like those Virginia parents did when they swept those local school board posts, now I pray these new school board members do the hard things. If no teachers are ever truly fired and no superintendents held responsible, we might as well not have these positions of authority.

I think it's fair to speculate ...Mama and Papa BEAR have opened their eyes...their children are THEIR children and they will decide what to teach them...and "allow" the teachers to teach reading and writing and arithmetic in school...the social engineering will stop...
