The Biden administration announced a plan plan to get high-speed internet to millions of Americans through subsidies and discounts agreed to by industry–putting work-from-home technology, plus educational and entertainment options into rural and low-income homes. 'High-speed internet service is no longer a luxury—it's a necessity,' the White House said in a fact sheet Monday announcing the program. The funds come from the bipartisan infrastructure law that Biden is championing around the country.(Snip)'That's fast enough for a typical family of four to work from home, do schoolwork, browse the web, and stream high-definition shows and movies,' according to the fact sheet.

Well, that, oughta slow things down a bit! National government is the biggest problem.

Let me get this right. Several companies are going to GIVE away high speed internet to rural and low-income homes. That would be a trick in parts of rural Iowa as there is NO broad band available to give away. And if you are giving it away so people can WORK at home, they can afford to pay for their own internet.

So now all of a sudden it’s a necessity and then a right. Really this is all about the Black Royally Illuminati Psyops 5th Dimension Warfare plan to alter peoples minds and brainwash control and manipulate the masses. The subliminal messaging programming ads and videos will all be part of the psyop. Make no mistake admit it. Look up a new video called Ghost In The Machine on YouTube. The Devil has a ghost army deployed and Patriots do too. Fights on!

No such thing as free. Free only means that WE pay for it. Reagan signed a law allowing free dial tone that only worked for calling 911 for poor Americans. That program turned into Free Obamaphones that you can hit up your dealer with for FREE. Not even starting with limitations this time. Now they can get all the porn they want without paying a dime. Communism, on the sly.

Nobody does this for free! I’ll bet the ministry of truth is involved and will push Obama Biden’s truth to their low income voters. In addition OBAMA’s voters get free movies and shows, probably the Obama’s failed Netflix series. So Bammie and wife will get royalties off a government program!

What a unique plan that will put more government "ears" into more homes

More "free stuff" for "low income" unfortunates...those making up to 200% (Yes, two hundred percent) of the federal poverty level or in which a family member is a part of another federal program. What is "poverty" these days anyways?

It’s like food stamps. The grocery stores love “free” food. Someone will be loving 50 million “free” broadband connections. Someone who supports bidet no doubt. Support hath its lucre. And huncher is on the shadow crack board for a very very very small stipend payable in gold in Lichtenstein. See how cooperation works?

Delivering the leftist propaganda directly to their homes.
I pay a large monthly payment plus almost $3000 installation costs to get high speed fiber at my slightly rural home, within 20 miles of suburban KC area. Otherwise....my cell phone was the only link and very weak out here.

The GOP will gladly help the Crats to fund this program at taxpayer expense. To do otherwise would obviously mean Republicans hate poor people.

So far they get free phones (Obama phones), free food (food stamps), free rent (Section 8 or other Subsidized Housing), whatever welfare benefits they can get, and now free internet. What's next? Free streaming TV like Netflix so they can watch the Obama and Harry/Megan produced liberal shows? Just another reason for these people to not work or ever leave their homes.

I doubt there are any low income people working the type of jobs that can de done from home and on a desktop computer or laptop. More bribes for the masses. I'm really starting to detest all these "low income and poor people" who keep getting all these freebies and are still low income and poor.

another great lie perpetrated on the people of the United States by this illegitimate office holder because - nothing is "free" especially when a corrupt politician makes a statement about something be "free" - just another way to consolidate the internet into the hands of the feds

#13 - don't forget the free big-screen flat-panel TVs too! All they have to do is either liberate one from Wal-Mart or hit up the local trains transporting cargo through the 'hood.
All this and they still want reparations...! I guess free drugs and cars are next - they're the only things left for which they might need cash...

Thanks, Sleepy Joe. That's a nice thing to do for those folks. But Joe, my oilman says his heating is now $6.10 a gallon. And it's not even wintertime. What's it going to be next winter, $12.00 a gallon. Come on Joe, don't just do something, STAND THERE.

Wait a minute. Don't tell me a bunch of generous Internet providers and giving free internet access to about 1/7th of the US population. I'm not dumb like the 81 million or so who supposedly voted for Sleepy Creepy Crooked President Uncle Joe.
What's happening, I'm sure, is that, we the American taxpayers, will foot the bill to these Internet Providers much like we covered the check for the Obama phones, free illegal alien flights, and all other sorts of freebies.
Without a thank you, of course.

Make no mistake, we're paying for it. And any revenue shortfalls Big Broadband pretends to have as a result of "participating" in this giveaway (the legislation of which was no doubt written by their lobbyists) will be passed along to regular customers, as rubber-stamped by any regulatory review boards. FTA: "The $1 trillion infrastructure package passed by Congress last year included $14.2 billion funding for the ACP, which provides $30 monthly subsidies ($75 in tribal areas) on internet service for millions of lower-income households. With the new commitment from the internet providers, some 48 million households will be eligible for $30 monthly plans for 100 megabits per second, or higher speed, service - making internet service fully paid for with the government subsidy if they sign up with one of the providers participating in the program."

Supposedly funding to come from the so-called infrastructure bill. And therefore, once the funding is depleted, all those people will head on back to the office/workplace. Right?
And, of course, all these jobs can be done from home? Most companies want their employees back in the office where (they can keep their eyes on them) they have confirmed better work output and product.
Gotta get this going in time for November...

#9, Poverty in America is defined as any person who can cash an EBT card for half the price to the local middleman and buy some crack while living in a Section 8 ghetto apartment with a current baby-daddy while the 5 previous daddies serve out their time "incarcerated" (the only five syllable word they know). Between government cheese and peanut butter, they've learned to trade half a months supply for sodas, chips, and smokes. Ergo, an impoverished American is anyone not weighing toward 300 lbs. and has teenage b-stards striving to be a defensive tackle on some NFL plantation.

I used to live deep in the woods in Pennsylvania, owned 30 acres with three ponds, our main house,a guest cottage and a rental house. It was the way I chose to live, knowing that the nearest grocery store or gas station was 5 miles away. I spent a lot of money to acquire all of that property, giving up many other possible niceties of life.
And I did not expect city folks to pay extra taxes so that I could have free or discounted services.
Now that we are elderly, we live in an upscale neighborhood outside of Erie, Pa. We have all of the conveniences, and Dementia Jo will make us subsidize the purchasers of my former residence and guest cottage, and rental house.
There is something wrong with this picture. Or am I confused?

It's right there in the Constitution; broadband for all. USA's internet and cellular providers charge among the highest rates in the world in exchange for subpar service, and Americans proudly pay this to demonstrate our prosperity, and then give it away for free to The Poor to demonstrate our largesse, and to put more taxpayer money in the pockets of huge corporations that then "donate" to politicians.
