At Easter the Little Petra guesthouse in the heart of Jerusalem’s Christian quarter should be bustling with pilgrims. Instead, the only ‘guests’ are a group of Jewish settlers who, judging by the charred double doors leading to what was the hotel’s souvenir shop, look like they checked in with cutting equipment. But this is not just an unholy squabble over expensive real estate between Christian and Jewish communities in the old city. It’s part of what Jerusalem’s church leaders believe is an existential threat to all Christians in the cradle of the faith.(Snip)‘An exodus of Christians will turn us into Disneyland,’ says the Anglican Archbishop of the city,

I’d like to know what the ultra-leftist woke Archbishop of Canterbury has to say about the diminished Christian community in the UK. Israel has been on my bucket list for decades but in this atmosphere, along with covid air travel restrictions, I will probably never get there. Never the less, Happy and Blessed Easter, everyone!

And the so-called "Leader of the Free World", defender of democracy worldwide, will do what in the face of this religious intolerance? Meanwhile, domestic politics apparently stymie any action of the Israeli government, if there was any desire to deal with a problem. Maybe the solution is to reduce US financial support to Israel, with a potential for sanctions. That's not anti-Semitic; it's a defense of religious rights at a most critical place and time. Given recent history, Israel has no moral choice but to act to end this apparent bigotry.

This is absolute horse poo poo of an article. The Christian site (e,g. Bethlehem) are all in the PA. The Muslims have systematically ethnically cleansed the Christians from the PA. It has zero to do with Israel. The Christian population in Israel (typically Arab) is the wealthiest and most educated demographic in Israel. Israelis, according to numerous studies, have high respect and esteem for Christian pilgrims and all know the country depends on Christians to survive. Now. are there plenty of idiots in all religious groups? Sure. Sirhan Sirhan comes to mind.

If there are two words or phrases that are nowhere close to each other, it would be ''Holy Land'' and Disneyland. The writer is just trying to turn a sensitive story into some sort of Hollywood Slap-fest.

I was in Israel on business just before the pandemic and took a side trip to Jerusalem. An absolutely stunning experience. Like every place on earth with limited real estate, prices are skyrocketing. Not unlike what we see as gentrification or “changing” urban neighborhoods here in the US, existing residents are being uprooted. The laws of money apply even in the Old City.

So too is America turning into Disneyland, we share your pain. It's not just attacks from the outside, we have had priests, rabbis and ministers close places of worship down due to a head cold. The Christians in ancient Rome held mass under the threat of crucifiction or being fed to lions. That is what real faith looks like.

Private donors led by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg pumped more than $400 million into administering the 2020 presidential election, money that was often funneled by Democratic operatives into Democratic districts in what became essentially a get-out-the-vote effort for President Biden. The total amount of private donations for carrying out the 2020 election exceeded the federal government’s entire allocation for election spending in the same year.(Snip)These groups funneled much of the money to cities and counties rich in Democratic voters for purposes that appear less centered on voter safety and more focused on increasing turnout among certain voting groups. Texas Governor Greg Abbott is plotting a White House run—and his new policy of bussing illegal immigrants to DC is part of his plan to woo GOP voters, analysts believe. Gov. Abbott was praised by fellow Republicans after he sent two buses full of Latin American asylum applicants to the U.S. Capitol last week. He has vowed to continue to do so as border states brace for a huge influx of migrants from next month when President Biden brings a Trump-era law that guaranteed immediate expulsion to an end. Party insiders allege Abbott's 'audacious' response to the border crisis is a first step towards a presidential bid,

Adams and his police commish, Keechant Sewell, appeared on TV touting transit safety just five days after a madman opened fire on a Brooklyn train, wounding 29 people.(Snip)NYPD statistics show that so far this year, major felonies reported in the subway system rose 68%, robberies in the subways surged by 72%, and felony assaults have increased by 28%. A pair of Arizona diversity, equity and inclusion 'experts' have been blasted for falsely accusing an African-American DJ of wearing blackface at an event. Jill Lassen and Stuart Rhoden, who advocate for diversity at the Scottsdale Unified School District in various capacities, wrote scathing letters of complaint after DJ Kim Koko Hunter appeared at a PTA event, and they mistook him for a white man. Stuart and Rhoden have since apologized, with some noting the irony of 'diversity and inclusion' activists rushing to such false conclusions. But Rhoden also sought to double down on his initial allegation, and speculated as to whether Hunter may have used cosmetic products

Immigration officials wasted $17 million dollars on unused hotels for migrants last year, after hiring a politically connected contractor that failed to meet COVID-19 protocols, a government watchdog found. Immigration and Customs Enforcement entered into the $87 million contract with the nonprofit company Endeavors to provide services for the surge of migrants at the southern border, the Department of Homeland Security’s Inspector General said in a Tuesday report. ICE should have sought multiple bids for the work, instead of signing onto the “sole source” deal with Endeavors, which required the agency to pay for a block of more than 1,200 hotel rooms, no matter how many were used,

In a letter to parents, Gullett principal Tammy Thompson says that a parent had visited the campus in Northwest Austin Thursday afternoon during dismissal dressed as the Easter Bunny and handed out plastic eggs. Mr. Durham alleges that in February 2017, Mr. Sussmann met with a second government agency where he presented evidence purportedly linking Mr. Trump to Russia. Although Mr. Durham doesn’t name the agency, it has been previously confirmed that Mr. Sussmann met with the CIA around this time. During the meeting, Mr. Sussmann presented the CIA with allegations of a secret communications channel between the Trump Organization and Russia’s Alfa Bank,

So naturally, in 2020 the land of fruits and nuts became the first state to establish a real-live “task force” to study the issue of slavery reparations. That task force made news earlier this month by voting to limit any compensation plan to, according to The Guardian, “descendants of enslaved and free

Such a question might have seemed a bit over the top, as Biden only entered office in January of 2021. But, after a year of record inflation and gasoline price hikes, devastating COVID lockdowns, a surge of illegal immigration, the botched departure from Afghanistan, and growing questions over the 79-year-old president’s mental fitness, a surprising number of Americans now think Biden won’t last even another two and a half years

We all get that political strategists like to cheerlead for their party. Some might even say that it’s their job. I, however, think that a good strategist is willing to see and speak the truth. If their party is failing, they aren’t doing anyone any favors by pretending things are going well. Which brings me to Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, who appeared on ABC’s This Week on Sunday and gave the most laughable assessment of the upcoming midterms I’ve seen. According to Brazile, the GOP is “essentially running on fumes” from allegations of voter fraud in 2020, while Democrats “are running on the economy that’s roaring back” and “fighting inflation.”
