Opinion: AOC's journey from bartender

Not exactly in the beginning, there was a “big boom”… the baby boom. And that boom gave birth to “boomers,” who thought it was good. And it came to pass that boomers begat Generation X’ers, millennials and/or those of Generation Z… based on varying biological and chronological circumstances. The boomers looked and saw that their own generation — the “Me Generation” — spawned a reaction called “Me Too” years later. And many of the male boomers were shamed and confused. But many of the female boomers felt both enraged and empowered. And both mothers and daughters arose and said, “A woman’s place is in the House… and the Senate.”  CORRECTIONS*

I think this is 'job inflation'. From what I have read, she was a barmaid. A bartender needs to be able to mix the drinks, which takes more skills than taking orders and then delivering the drinks, like a barmaid does. Either way....she is an ignorant, arrogant pain in the rear.

I have heard that she stole tips from others. If that is true, she is a crook. No wonder she is such a good Democrat/Socialist. She fit right in with the rest of the corrupt members of Congress. Let's hope NY gets rid of her the old-fashioned way; Vote against her in the next election. Please don't send her back!!!!

Unfortunately, New York's 14th is all about checking the boxes: Puerto Rican? Check; Woman? Check; Democrat? Check. It will be a while before she goes anywhere. The best chances of seeing her gone is if the Biden Dems continue their Disaster World Tour and keep turning hispanics red or AOC overplays her hand goes for higher office.

Someday we will find out that the same people that installed Joe Biden also installed AOC. Quite a few hardcore lefties appearing out of nowhere lately. it's certainly possible she won fair and square. but definitely can see the far-left robbing Democrats as well as Republicans.

Don't underestimate AOC. She is an Eva Peron wannabe. Peron did a real job on the Argentinians. Given a chance AOC would do the same to Americans. AOC is as dumb as a fox and as deadly as a fox with rabies.

FTA: AOC is a genius at social media. Look at what comprises the audience of social media, young, clueless twits just like her who have no idea how the world works. How is it possible that a nitwit like her has a say in running the country? No wonder people think that we can just take cars and trucks off the highway and replace them with battery-powered Barbie cars. Because Sandy said so!

I remember reading that she and Tlaib or whatever her name is both won a contest some one put on and won the chance to run for office. Long time ago so I may not remember correctly. Whatever - she is not what we need in our government, along with the other squats.

I sense a disturbance in the force. (snip) I noted that Biden’s appalling performance as president would sooner or later—and probably sooner, given the ostentatious nature of his multifaceted failure—lead to his removal as president. I should have added that it wasn’t Biden’s performance per se that would lead to his downfall. The problem, rather, was the way his performance was undermining his—and therefore his minders’ and puppetmasters’—political power. As Saul Alinsky, community organizer to the stars, noted, the “issue is never the issue.” Accordingly, the people who put Joe Biden in power—I cannot name them, but I know they are the same people who keep him in power—do not

Hollywood celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, and Jane Fonda are protesting a Canadian natural gas pipeline that they claim represents a threat to the climate and indigenous rights. Their demand to defund the pipeline comes as energy prices are soaring around the world, putting a squeeze on working class families and sending a dire ripple effect throughout the global economy. The pipeline at the center of the fight is the Coastal GasLink, which transports natural gas across the Canadian Rockies in British Columbia to the Pacific coast. Celebrities are putting pressure on Los Angeles-based City National Bank, citing the bank’s parent company, the Royal Bank of Canada,

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy urged calm on Sunday as a Covid-19 wave fueled at least partially by a new sub variant of the virus spread across Europe, adding that the pandemic should “not define our lives.” During an appearance on Fox News Sunday with Trace Gallagher, Murthy said the country needs to exercise caution with the new spike in Europe but shouldn’t live in fear because of all of the tools at our disposal to combat the disease. “We should be prepared that Covid hasn’t gone away. There may be rises and falls in the months ahead, but here’s the key:

A disgraced Democrat state senator dodged jail thanks to a plea deal over a $600,000 fraud which saw her spend federal cash on her wedding, honeymoon—and subsequent divorce. Katrina Robinson, 41, struck the plea deal Friday which saw her admit just two of the 20 counts she was facing, with a value of $3,400. Sentencing guidelines could have seen the former Tennessee lawmaker face up to 10 months in prison for those counts. But US District Judge Sheryl H Lipman decided to let Robinson off with a slap on the wrist, and sentenced her to just a year of probation after claiming that the swindler had suffered enough already.

In October 2020, prior to the election, Hunter Biden’s laptop was left unclaimed at a repair shop and turned over to the FBI. Yaacov Aplebaum has covered at length the Biden family corruption, their crooked international dealings, pornographic images of Hunter and others, evidence of Hunter’s drug use and the coverup of his and the Biden family’s corruption which he found on the laptop and elsewhere on the internet. (Warning, images in these reports are not for the faint-hearted.) The New York Post, without all these sordid details and photographs, reported the story in that same month before the election. But in the face of widespread denial the story got

Dr Anthony Fauci has rowed back on hints that he will soon retire, with 81 year-old saying he thinks the COVID pandemic is still far from over. Speaking a day after he'd said 'I can't stay in this job forever,' Fauci appeared determined to stay when asked on ABC's This Week if he really was thinking of quitting. He answered: 'I'm not so sure, George,' the director of the National Health Institute told anchor George Stephonaupolous. 'I want to make sure we're really out of this before I really seriously consider doing anything different. We're still in this.' 'We have a way to go.

A Boeing 737-800 passenger jet operated by China Eastern Airlines has crashed in rural China, presumably killing all 132 souls aboard. Video of the plane nosediving into the ground and the aftermath has emerged. As is expected with any video of this kind, viewer discretion is advised. Much is unknown at this point, but I am a commercial multi-engine pilot and a flight instructor so I can add a few points of speculation to ponder. According to the flight data available, the rapid descent started at around 30,000 feet. That would point to either a structural failure that caused a loss of flight controls or a high-altitude stall

Tens of thousands of students at the City University of New York have signed a petition to cancel an opera about Emmett Till, the victim of a high-profile 1955 lynching in Mississippi, saying that the school should no longer host the show because it was written by a white woman. John Jay College of Criminal Justice student Mya Bishop created the Change.org petition in an attempt to halt the continuation of 'Emmett Till, A New American Opera' at the school's Gerald W. Lynch Theatre. In the petition's description, she wrote that the show is all about playwright Clare Coss' 'white guilt' rather than the appalling killing of Till, 14,
