Twitter users across the political spectrum excoriated Bloomberg News for an opinion column suggesting low income Americans find ways to lower their costs to deal with skyrocketing inflation. The column, titled “Inflation Stings Most If You Earn Less Than $300K. Here’s How to Deal,” was written by Teresa Ghilarducci, a professor of economics at the New School for Social Research, a private university in New York. In it, she explains that inflation, especially soaring gas prices, will do much less harm to Americans who earn more than $289,000 per year. For those near the median income of around $50,000, or less,
Since we don’t have public transit in Middle Georgia, what if we just quit trucking food to NYC?

They really don't care if people starve to death. Their political aims trumps your eating regularly, driving an automobile or living in a decent, heated home.
The don't care what they destroy.
To them, Hunger Games was a plan.

Although Marie Antoinette never said let them eat cake, Bloomberg is, in effect, saying it, and hopefully the 1% will suffer the same fate as Marie. I say Allons enfants de la patrie, le jour de gloire est arrive.

I hope she begins a weekly column, folks could use more of her useful ideas! Where, oh where, would any of us be without the wisdom flowing from the New School. I expect the Biden misAdministration already has a job offer out for her. Perhaps she can advise Kamalala on economic matters. Her ideas are just too wonderful to be confined to Bloomberg News. Our nation needs Teresa!!!

Teresa don't think those making $289K are hurt as much. Sorry Teresa, but they are hurt more. They probably have saving, say $500K. That saving is dropping in purchasing power by 10% a year. That is $50K per year. Then, look at every investment mutual fund and ETF fund and all are losing money due to interest rates rising and the slowing economy. Conservative funds are down 3% or more, and the S&P 500 down about 7%. So that adds another 3-7% loss to that $500K in savings. Several years of this and the $500k saving will be eaten away, and the middle class destroyed. The Covid free money was not free, and now Americans are getting the bill for all of it. Democrats will ruin you for sure, but don't look to Republicans to save you. The Republican Party is worthless to American citizens.

At least Marie Antoinette didn’t say “lentils.” In the body of Professor Ghilarducci’s article is this chilling and heartless suggestion, “if you’re one of the many Americans who became a new pet owner during the pandemic, you might want to rethink those costly pet medical needs.” Perhaps the Professor would like to expand on this suggestion and tell us what to do when those pets die. Save money on groceries by eating them? Make them into soap? Save their pelts for blankets, rugs or coats? Should people who adopted them pre-pandemic also let their pets die? Or just give up lentils and eat dust and lint to save money to pay for their pets’ medical bills? Will veterinarians be forced to require adoption papers proving that the pet was adopted before March, 2020 in order to treat them? My goodness! The New School seems to be coming up with plain old-fashioned bad ideas. And where do they get their professors? At Grave Robbers Anonymous?

Our pets are a lot better "people" than the "people" that wrote this article. I say take care of our pets because they take care of us, let these writers do without health care because they would try to do away with us.

Ghilarducci also proposes that people with 401Ks or IRAs be forced to yield them into new "national savings pan," from which we will be given annuities supplemental to Social Security, based on what was in the account (sure.) Balances in your account at your death would not be heritable by your heirs, but instead would revert to the new "national plan"
Got that?

I was a young married working man during Jimmy Carter years now this which is much worse but times like these flush out the really stupid people. This dweeb with her brainy ideas, does speak her mind. This one is real over the top but the thoughts of many of our 'betters'. Too stupid to know all people are touched no matter the annual income it's a loss unless you are Hunter Biden who can replenish with artwork sales.

I have some better ideas. Ramp up domestic oil production. Lower taxes on gas. Congress must stop spending money we don't have. Vote the Democrats out in November.

#15, it wasn’t just one man. I honestly believe that Biden is barely cognizant of what is going on around him. It is a cabal of like-minded globalists. They are ruthless. They are relentless. They lust for total power. They will never stop until they are stopped. Dead.

When I read this piece the other day, I thought that Ghilarducci's name sounded familiar. Sure enough, I remembered that Mark Levin had interviewed her in 2008, not on his show, and recorded the message. Ghilarducci had no idea who he was, did not know he was a conservative. All through the interview it was clear she was clueless. The conversation was actually a bit hilarious as it was clear Ghilarducci did not know she was being played. Here's the interview. Do listen to it and enjoy.

One nice thing about inflation is that it makes the current price for anything you want to buy look like a real good bargain, especially if you look back at the deal a week from now.

Excellent idea..poster #1...the truckers are the answer...if the truckers...in addition to the freedom convoy dudes...held a trucker's strike and refused to deliver to major cities...watch the democrats wail and beat their chests...no worries out here in fly/over country...WE're close to the land and chickens an pigs and beef are plentiful...and yummy corn on the cob is about to pop out of the ground...I can run down to the neighboring farm and get eggs and corn and tomatoes....so you smart posterior elites can think about that when your shelves run even drier than before...

Some tips on beating inflation and making everyone able to make a good living:
Vote for people who won't print trillions of dollars they don't have!
Vote for people who will allow us to use American oil for our consumption
Vote for people who are not global warming jihadists
Vote for people who would allow nuclear energy production
Vote for people that don't encourage businesses to move their manufacturing overseas
Vote for people who oppose government regulations supporting unproven theories
Vote for people who want to Make America Great again
Vote against people who think America is evil
Vote against people who think America invite every poor person in the planet to come here and receive government benefits at the expense of the stupid people who work for a living.
