What Did Democrats Deliver?

Original Article

According to a recent story in The New York Times, in a meeting with the president last month to discuss the party’s messaging, Speaker Nancy Pelosi came armed with an alternate slogan to replace the “Build Back Better” phrase, which some Democrats call “toxic” these days. Pelosi’s substitute? One of the worst political slogans in recent memory — “Democrats Deliver,” which the Times reported had tested at the bottom of a list of potential messages. One can only wonder whether anyone on her team raised the obvious follow-on question, “Deliver what?” It’s just too easy. Republicans would have a field day answering the question for them.

The Extraordinary Vapidity of Kamala Harris 17 replies

As if to put to rest forever all of those ticklish inquiries about Providence, the grave and trying moment in which we now find ourselves has brought with it a hero capable of rivaling any other. Her name is Vice President Kamala Harris, and she is to the nugatory platitude what Michelangelo was to the marble block: All challengers flee before her, all pretenders quit their thrones at the mere mention of her name. Listen carefully and one can hear the desperation as the most accomplished rattlebrains in America issue condign sighs of dismay. How talented is Harris? Talented enough to make the inanities uttered by her rival Pete

As gasoline prices in the US continue to surge to an unprecedented $7 a gallon in some places, President Joe Biden seems more interested in finding someone to blame than mitigating the problem. ‘Make no mistake, inflation is largely the fault of [Russian president Vladimir] Putin’, the president said on Friday at the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference. The president then cited a ‘fact checker’ in the New York Times and a Washington Post op-ed to counter anyone daring to lay the blame for skyrocketing prices at the feet of the president of the United States.

The medical establishment has marched in lockstep on COVID-19, presenting a consensus of expertise as they marginalized physicians who had different opinions. Two years into the pandemic, it’s fair to ask, how did public health officials do? Surface transmission Wash your hands like crazy (at least 20 seconds) and pour alcohol-based solutions on your grocery bags to stop COVID transmission, you were told for months. Despite being an expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci immediately applied the influenza surface transmission model to COVID. The logical starting hypothesis should have been that COVID was aerosolized. There are only three coronaviruses that cause serious illness in humans:
Democrats Urge Biden to Enact Agenda by Edict 13 replies

For a sense of how alarmed House Democrats are about the upcoming midterms, consider what they want President Biden to do about their failed legislative initiatives. According to an Associated Press report, caucus leaders are “urging him to issue executive orders that could push their proposals forward without votes in the House and Senate.” Due to intraparty ideological disputes, the Democrats have been unable to pass important bills and therefore have very few accomplishments to talk about when they face their constituents in November. Consequently, they want the President to bypass the Congress and impose their stalled agenda on the nation by fiat.
Biden Tries to Blame Energy Failures on
‘Putin’s Gas Price Hike’

When President Biden was inaugurated, the average price of regular gasoline in the U.S. was $2.38. A little over a year later, the price has reached a record high of $4.32. Attempts by the White House to blame this increase on Vladimir Putin notwithstanding, the price had already risen to $3.53 before Russia invaded Ukraine. The problem is obviously the direct result of Biden’s irresponsible energy policies. During his first few weeks in office he issued a series of executive orders for the explicit purpose of discouraging domestic energy production — while demand for fuel was rapidly increasing. The inevitable result has been stratospheric gas prices.

The U.S. Department of Defense tasked the same Georgia Tech researcher embroiled in the Alfa Bank hoax with investigating the “origins” of the Democratic National Committee hacker, according to an email first obtained by The Federalist on Wednesday. That email also indicates the special counsel’s office is investigating the investigation into the DNC hack and that prosecutors harbor concerns about the DOD’s decision to involve the Georgia Tech researcher in its probe. The special counsel branded this person “Researcher-1” in court filings. His identity has since been confirmed by his attorney as Georgia Tech’s Manos Antonakakis.

The good news: Russia’s foreign minister assured the world that Vladimir Putin has no desire to follow up his war in Ukraine by invading other countries. The bad news: Sergei Lavrov flatly denied that Russia attacked Ukraine, too. “Why should they believe a word you say?” asked a reporter. Good question, that: The Russian foreign minister, in a news conference following the meeting, denied Russia had invaded Ukraine. “We have no plans to invade other countries. We didn’t invade Ukraine,” said Mr. Lavrov, speaking in Russian through a live translation, in response to a question about Russia’s intentions. Mr. Lavrov didn’t explain the statement when questioned. “I think you said Russia did not invade

Kamala Harris flew to Poland to shore up NATO unity after a 72-hour fiasco in which the Biden administration encouraged and then refused a deal to send older Soviet-era MiGs to Ukraine. Poland, it should be noted, is on NATO’s eastern flank, a point which one would expect that Harris would get right the first time in her prepared remarks:Overall, the message of unity managed to eke out of these proceedings, but not with much clarity: “I want to be very clear

Now that Joe Biden has gotten pushed into an embargo on Russian oil imports — with Senate Democrats doing a considerable amount of the shoving — the inevitable problem of consumer shock at gas prices will have to get tackled next. The ban on Russian oil will definitely keep those prices escalating, unless the US can find much more production to replace it.
