#1, Completely agree.
Look what this illegitimate administration has done in 15 months. War and rumors of war are breaking out all over the globe. Biden is seen as weak, incompetent, and his military brass are focused on virtue signaling and purging the warriors from the military. This country is a laughingstock because the world knows exactly who and what Biden is. Not only has Biden exposed himself and his wicked party, he has shone a light on the incompetent Republicans who can’t organize themselves around a single message. The Rinos outliers keep the entire party off balance. McConnell and McCarthy have no idea how to fight the war that democrats have declared on this country. Their expressions are like deer in the headlights. They have no appetite for the fight that is going on all around them. What is their message? Wait until November. They are totally incapable of dealing with this administration and Biden has free reign to bumble his way into WWIII. Listen up, you fools. Even if you are in the minority, it is your job to lead and that means to make yourselves heard. Can you imagine Pelosi’s response if the shoe was on the other foot? You bear a responsibility to articulate a rational response to Biden’s dangerous irresponsibility. He is lurching from one crisis to another and we rarely hear a peep out of either of you. You cannot sit on your hands while this fool is endangering the country with his foolish bravado. He is going to lead us into a serious shooting war and our allies will not support us because they know he is incompetent. Who could blame them?

We're sending them in September! Guess Joe wants to give Xi plenty of time to invade Taiwan before we're ready to respond.
God help us !

This is not good news. It ranks right up there with the Saudis changing the basis for petro dollars. Everything
continues to become more and more ominous. The only good news is who our latest allies are...Aussies!!! Yes !

It's easy and it serves a short term purpose to look at these dreadful developments in the context of Trump strong, world safe, Biden weak world on the verge of WWIII. But the world wouldn't have been teetering on the brink had it not been for decades of gradual creeping socialism that have infected the West. Europe was saved from the inevitable consequences of that by the US through our tolerance of disparate trade policy and continued military protection. Now that we have succumbed to the temptation to institutionalize and vote for our own largess by electing one candyman after another, we find ourselves back to the fragility that caused half of the last a century to be dominated by world war.

This is where Biden's foreign policy of weakness has led us. Russia at war. China on the brink of war.
Who is most likely to lob a nuke in an act of desperation to save face? Biden? Putin? Or Xi?
A special shoutout to F Joe Biden. Without him, none of this would have happened!

China, along with other Asian countries, has already invaded Australia and New Zealand. Both countries are full of them. I swear that every shop girl in Auckland, NZ is Asian. Don’t know why either country has let so many of them immigrate.

Biden will keep the marines and GIs in Australia until after the midterm elections. That's 2,500+ overseas military ballots that they won't bother to count.

Aussies better start learning Mandarin. President Pot Plant doesn't have anybody's back except AOC's and the green movement with electric cars that's where Biden's two remaining brain cells are. Good luck Australia you should not have taken and destroyed all personal arms you might need them now.

It certainly looks like chicom president Xi wants a return on his Great Election Fraud of 2020 investment same as Putie does. So it appears biden the cheater prefers to fight the chicoms starting with an Australian conflict but then moving onto XI's big prize, Taiwan. Biden the cheater's message to Zelenskyy after hearing Zelenskyy's plea for more support today? Sorry, guy, no can do on providing more military support because America has bigger fish to fry downunder.
Klaus, it looks like your push for your new world order might be delayed a bit, pal.

The only military that we can send are those who have been vaxxed. I doubt they would let anyone else in. As I recall, Australia is as close to a tyranny in the Commonwealth as you can find. Hope they pack their summer uniforms, gonna be warm.

The Northern Territory of Australia is a long way from most of inhabited Australia, or China, and a couple of thousand US Marines and Soldiers stationed there are not going to stop China from invading Taiwan if they decide to do so. But the Northern Territory has very big and wide open areas of land with no people, that are great military training areas.
This is nothing new, as US military units have been training there for years.

More sabre rattling, and the usual peanut gallery crowd is thrilled at the prospects of "war". Australia is 3500 miles from Taiwan. 2,200 Marines will be right on it if an invasion there comes.
The part of this equation ignored is that China has no reason to invade its largest investor and a key trade partner - yes, Taiwan. Exactly, what's the rush? The Chinese have a history of patience, waiting for the fruit to ripen and fall. Like Macau and Hong Kong, eventually Taiwan will re-unite with China. That's going to happen. It won't be by force, either.

I always read #2's post but I think this one was unduly hard on Congress, particularly the Pubbies. We may not all know, but the Senate just passed All-Year Daylight Savings Time. If that's not watching out for national security, I don't know what is.

Every GI (Army and Marines) serving in Australia's Northern Territory must be thinking, "What did I do wrong to be sent here?" and "What the heck am I doing wasting my time in the military here?" Every GI not serving there must be thinking, "The last place on earth I would want to be sent is to Australia's Northern Territory." These GIs cannot help but understand the extent of this waste of personnel, money, and the utter military stupidity of this "in advance" sending of surface-to-air missile systems, High Mobility Artillery Rockets and unmanned aircraft to Australia. China can easily plan - in detail - how to quickly neuter these personnel and this equipment. In the event of a shooting war with China the life expectancy of these GIs and this equipment is probably a week at best.

There are lots of 'salties' lurking in the Northern Territory. Just persuade the Chinese to go for a swim and they will reduced to bones in short order.

In early 1942, the Japanese Imperial war machine was stopped on the north side of New Guinea, and that became the southern-most limit of their area of conquest before they were inexorably driven back to their home islands and defeated.
But, the Japanese, which the ChiComs seem to be following down the path of history a century later, were in force on the eastern end of New Guinea, at Lae and another nearby base. This is 400 air miles from Australia, and the Japanese bombed Australia a number of times in WW2.
The Aussies were woefully unprepared then, as now for this sort of thing.

Re: #33: The Japanese captured the island of Timor, a few hundred miles from Darwin, the capital city of Northern Territory, Australia and held it until 1945. Australia during WWII, hosted many divisions of US soldiers, providing training and staging facilities for MacAuthur's island-hopping push northward to the Philippines. Australia and the US have enjoyed a longstanding military alliance, which is worth defending.

Remember it was the Australian infantry that stopped the Japanese in New Guinea, a battle that started the Japanese retreat all the way back to Japan.
