The Rams went ahead in the closing minutes of the Super Bowl shortly after an iffy penalty called against the Bengals.Cincinnati linebacker Logan Wilson was flagged for defensive holding against Cooper Kupp on 3rd-and-goal from the 8-yard line with 1:47 remaining, and the Rams went ahead three plays later on a 1-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to Kupp for a 23-20 victory.Wilson didn’t appear to commit a penalty on the third-down play, breaking up the pass just inside the 5-yard line.
Rewarding a Blue state with a controversial call. Sounds like 2020 again....

They're even. Cincinnati #85 face-masked his defender prior to his TD catch, posting 6 points they didn't deserve. That call should have been made.

The over for the Rams was four points. The score was 23-20 Rams so betting on the Bengals paid off anyway. Vegas and NBC are both very happy with a good game.

There was a worse call in first half that led to a Bungles TD, I clear OPI or facemask, so they evened out.

Mediocre refereeing in the NFL? No surprise. Goodell should hold his head in shame for the refereeing product he has. Fix it Roger.

The Rams cheated the Saints so badly a few years ago, they had to change the rules. The NFL is horrible.

Matthew Stafford played his heart out for years with the Detroit Lions. From all accounts he’s a stand up family man. His wife Kelly suffered (correct me if I’m wrong) brain cancer and looked fully recovered last night. More than the missed face mask call was corrected last night. I’m glad a lot of you enjoyed rearranging your sock drawer or whatever but I went to bed last night knowing sometimes the good guys win.

My interest in the NFL is limited to games that involve former Wyoming players, Josh Allen and Logan Wilson. The Super Bowl was a close game, but not very exciting, as the two most talked about plays were a bad no call and a bad call.

One does not “even” out officiating. You cannot decide to ‘let them play’ for 58 minutes, and then go WHOOPSIE!!! Best get involved here….
‘Twas a BS call demanded by Goodell so that the Most Wondermous Amazing LOS ANGELES rams defeated that blue collar team out of ugh……Cincinnati.

There was a blatant no-call when the pass catcher grabbed the defensive back's face mask and twisted his neck on the first play of the second half; the defensive back went a&& over teakettle and the receiver scored on a long pass. Video is on the internet.

Karma is a b..ch when you pull a guys face mask to catch a pass for a touchdown as happened earlier on a Bengals score.

I played football several decades ago, and it was a different game.
There was no such thing as 'incidental contact' on a pass. it was called interference.

Good game. The OPI non-call was the low point. I've seen all LVI of them so I wanted to keep the streak going.
The halftime show was...no, better not. Let it go.

While it didn't make any difference to me who won, the Bengals got a touchdown on an obvious face mask grab by their receiver on the defensive back that wasn't called that gave the Bengals the lead. The holding call is only controversial in Cincinnati. The replay clearly shows the defensive back grabbing the jersey of the Rams player after the ball had been thrown. Yes, it wasn't blatant as the face mask call, but it clearly was holding on the part of the Cincinnati player.

Didn't watch at all. The NFL is no longer interesting with all their leftist, 'hate-America' stuff. Just go to Hades, NFL.

Seems to me this whole NFL season and particularly the playoffs revolved around bad calls and no calls by the refs which helped one team over the other. Almost seemed like the NFL produced the games and told the refs how to direct it for their preferred outcome. Kind of fits in with the opening spiel about the NFL and Hollywood being so alike.

Well, since the Packers were out of the playoffs (BTW, they beat both the Rams and Bengals this season), I considered this game as an early pre-season game.
As for the face mask non-call early in the 3rd quarter, I'd sure like to know the position of the officials on that play. My assumption is that the official assigned to that part of the field probably was out of position to see the face mask or would have thrown the flag (an obvious call). Cincinnati blew it with several unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, including one on that final drive that offset a Rams holding penalty.
The halftime show was worse than a loud strip club. Couldn't understand a word of it. Sad thing is, I work with a bunch of 20-30-40 somethings and they thought it was the greatest show on earth. I wish the NFL would bring back the "Up With People" kids. Or at least a CW act.
Ads? Well, the problem I see with most Super Bowl ads is that the sponsors, their ad agencies, and creative teams think they're doing a 30-second version of Gone With The Wind. Nope. You're trying to sell product. You can do it creatively. I think the Mexican Avacado folks did that well. Even Budweiser blew it this year. Otherwise, it seems like most of the ads were for electric cars and bitcoin.
Remember, for many years, Master Lock did a Super Bowl ad. Simple, to the point, and sold product.
As my wife said after one ad (Salesforce), what was that for?

People brining up the face mask from the earlier TD miss the point:
If ya let them play thru THAT, you sure as poop don’t call the one in the last 2 minutes.
UNLESS Roger wants a particular outcome.
Which he got.
